Omar's POV
Days Ago.
"What?". I yelled at Mr Abideen, my personal investigator whom I asked to keep an eye on my Mom.
"Are this photos real? Is Mom really cheating on Dad?". I asked.
"Yes, Sir. It was taken at a five star hotel in Beverly Hills, I'm sorry, Sir". He said to me.
"You may take your leave". I snapped at him. I was in total chaos. Can Mom really do this? I took out my phone from my pocket and dialed Mom's number. #ringing #ringing #ringing#. She picked on the third ring.
"Hello, Son" the receiver, my Mom answered.
"Mom, where are you?". I asked. I was shocked when I heard another voice saying "You smell good, baby". I felt disgusted. Irritated. Wait!! No,maybe its Dad. But,he's supposed to be at work, right?
"I'm with your Dad, Son". She said and hung up. It was hard to believe. So, I called Dad. #ringing #ringing #ringing# #ringing# Ha - he picked on the fourth ring.
"Son, what is it? I'm at the airport right now." the receiver,my Dad spoke.
"Airport?" I asked. Heartbroken. Did she just lie to me?
"Yes, an important meeting came up. I'm leaving for Bangkok." he replied.
"What about Mom? " I asked.
"I left your Mom hours ago, she said she had something to do, I've got to go, Son" he spoke and hung up.
I finally understood why my parents have been distant recently. Mom was cheating on Dad and Dad knows about it. I was so upset, I clench my fist and punch on the table. I don't believe this. Mom is cheating. I walked out of my office. I needed to calm down in order to avoid yelling at my employees. Cappuccino manages to calm me down. So, I went to Abduls. I sat there for a while and the coffee helped a little because I was relaxed. I'm sure Dad is doing okay about it. And, so should I. I figured out women are never grateful at the end. I just hated my Mom and women for that. I mean after this many years of marriage. Women ain't worth it!!!. I walked out of the restaurant. I opened the door and I bumped into a lady, no- a Woman, a married woman with two lovely kids. I knew I was at fault by not watching where I was going but she should be careful, she's with two kids. I only managed to say "Are you okay, Mrs?" because she was on the floor. I had to help her up which I did.
"No, I'm sorry, I wasn't watching" I said to her. But, sincerely, I wasn't sorry. I took my leave but I noticed the woman staring at me. I mean, I know I'm cute? But jeeez, she's married. Well, women cheat and she's one, right?. I talked to Dad and he asked me to forget about what happened and face the family's business. I agreed with him. That should be our priority.
I resumed work but I was told I had a new secretary because the previous one was incompetent. Well, all women are!!! But this one was different, she did finish the presentation on her second day of resumption so Ameenah said. But, I just don't want to have any business with her. She needs me to explain my attitude, What the f^^^?. There was a presentation due tomorrow for Crystal Companies. I asked Ameenah to get me the files for the presentation. When she did, I was disappointed at what I saw..
"It will be a pleasre to hve yu in our compny. Omr Holdings is a place whre yu cn invst and yull nevr regrt yur decisons or gettng disapoined." What the hell am I seeing?
"Ameenah, come into my office". I called her using the telephone. She came in almost immediately.
"Who wrote this presentation for Crystals?." I asked.
"Rabiah Sameer, your new secretary."she answered.
"She graduated with a Masters degree in Business Administration" she added.
"Masters my foot" I yelled.
"You may leave." This presentation is due tomorrow. I looked at the time, 10:45p.m. I had to stay back to rectify all her mistakes. When I was done, it was 12:05, Subhanallah, it's morning already. I stood up but I felt pain around my back. Oh Ya Allah, Mrs-Clumsy did this to me. She is, right?.
Rabiah's POV
It's been a week I've been working. I've got to admit everything is going great. Alhamdulillah! . We sometimes go out with the kids and Aunt Ameenah. We had lots of fun, We went shopping also. Safia believes she's a princess and Abdullah, a shining knight. Masha Allah! Except for Omar who gives me a hard time by not saying a word to me. I give him coffee at 9a.m and he never looks at me or says "Thank you".
" Rabiah, let's go for lunch? " Aunt Ameenah asked. Perfect! I was starving. Yes, I call her my Aunt now.
"Yes, sure, thanks". I closed my laptop and grabbed my bag and we took our leave. We had our lunch at "Zaydeen's Foods". His restaurant was the best. I'm just confused why it's called Zaydeen. So, I asked.
"Sir, tell me the secret behind the name, Zaydeen, please". A delightful smile grew on his lips as his eyes widened looking behind me. I turned and saw a woman approaching with a smile on her face too. She walked towards him and he kissed her lips.
"She's Zaynab, my wife and I'm Nuradeen" he replied.
"Oh, hello to you" the woman said to me.
"Zaynab, Nuradeen, Zaydeen " he said to me trying to explain. I realized that it was their shipping name. "Zay" the beginning of her name and "Deen",the ending of his name.
"Oh" I said smiling and nodding my head. Aunt Ameenah giggled. I admired them. I mean it's beautiful, right? I thought about Omar and Rabiah, what could be our shipping name? "Obiah?" "Marra?" "Marbiah?". Ha - I wish! He's a jerk.1
"Let's go, Rabiah" Ameenah said. We took our leave and drove back to Omar's
"Thanks for lunch" I said to Ameenah and she smiled and left for her office. I walked to my desk and saw a note which reads..
"Rabiah, See me in my office now - Omar".
What? What does he want from me? Is he asking for a date as an appreciation for his coffee -no, his coffees?. I was scared but I just hope it'd be something nice. I looked in the mirror and checked myself out. Alhamdulillah!
