MR ARROGANT

Luckily, Hayes got there on time and the nurses were already attending to Nathan. Hayes was pacing around the corridor of the ward Nathan was in, Liam was seated, staring at his dad.

“Daddy” He called slowly and Hayes faced him. “What’s wrong Liam?”

“Daddy, I...”, Liam couldn’t finish his words when a nurse came out. “Hayes Flynn” She called and Hayes nodded, staring at her inquisitively. “You should know by now that Nathaniel doesn’t need what happened to him earlier... If you guys hadn’t got here in time, we would have lost him. He’s has allergy and you fed him peppers” The nurse said. “What are you getting at nurse?” Hayes snapped at her, impatiently. “Your son is still unconscious but the acnes and marks has gone down. He’ll be awake soon Mr Flynn” The nurse replied, she bowed slightly before walking away.

“Nathan!” Liam exclaimed, running into the wardroom. He met Nathan in an unconscious state, receiving treatment from the drip stand. He felt sad because he realized it was his fault. He only wanted to do that because they didn’t like Tessa. “Wake up Nathan” He muttered sadly and Hayes patted his shoulders from behind. “He will” Hayes replied and Liam slowly smiled out. The ward door busted open, and Tessa came in touching her chest as she kept panting heavily. She actually got a taxi cab when He zoomed out and she trailed them to this hospital. “What are you doing here?” Hayes’s voice came and Tessa refused to look him in the eyes. “I asked you, what are you doing here?!” He barked this time around, and that was when Nathan eyes slide open, reaching the ceilings.

“Nathan!” Liam exclaimed and Hayes diverted his gaze to him. Tessa heaved a sigh of relief when she saw he was awake. “Dad” Nathan’s voice came weakly. He tried sitting upright but Hayes pulled him to relax. “It’s fine Nathaniel, Daddy is here” Hayes whispered. His eyes moved to Tessa who was standing there with a worried look and Nathan felt like apologizing. Though, the two boys were as cold as their father but Nathan was known to be the calmest, he doesn’t like trouble especially when it involves wounding himself.

“Nanny Tin can” He called and Tessa’s cheeks reddened. She almost wanted to laugh at what he just called her but she cooled down. At least not when Hayes Flynn is here too. “Who’s that? Is that what you guys call her?” Hayes asked, referring to her and Nathan nodded. “She’s chubby and I don’t like chubby people especially girls and ladies” Nathan replied and Hayes chuckled, ruffling his hair.

“Silly you” He said and Nathan smiled, his eyes went to Liam who was giving him a pleading look not to say what really happened.

“Dad, are you still gonna fire her?” He asked, pointing at Tessa and Hayes slowly looked at Tessa who was also staring back at him. “You guys don’t like her and so do I... So what do we still need her for? She’s fir..”. “No dad, don’t fire her. She isn’t at fault pls... Just don’t fire her. Let her stay with us” Nathan interrupted and Hayes stared at him surprised.

“And why is that?”, he asked.

“Because...”, Nathan was thinking of what to say. “It’s nothing! Let her stay, let her stay. We like her anyways” Liam cut in, trying not to freak out as he gave Nathan a quick eye contact. Hayes sighed before standing up from Nathan’s bed. “May I speak to you Miss Tessa Thompson?” He asked coldly and Tessa nodded as she followed him outside. The corridor was a bit silent giving them the privacy they needed.

“You almost killed my son just on your first day of work.. tell me who on earth would actually do that shit in not a psycho?” He asked with anger in his voice. “Psycho? I’m not a psycho” Tessa frowned. “Yes you are and accept that if you don’t want to loose your job. Remember, I’m your boss!” He snapped at her and she swallowed hard. “Yes, I’m a psycho” She muttered and he snickered. “Good! I’m giving you the grace and if you fucking fail to carry out your responsibilities, I will throw you out of my house!” He said, bossily and Tessa nodded fearfully.

“Yes sir” She replied. “You brought your clothes with you?” He suddenly asked. “No, I didn’t bring any because I wasn’t expecting you to offer me this kind of proposal. I was thinking of being maybe you secretary or work staff and that’s why I didn’t bring any” She said. “Go get them before I arrive home” He replied and walked back in, leaving her standing.

“Who the heck does he think he is! He actually made me call myself a psycho! Damn you Hayes Flynn!”

TESSA’S PLACE

“You mean to tell me Hayes Flynn offered you a job to become his kid’s nanny?!” Natalie asked for the umpteenth time and Tessa rolled her eyes.

“I think so”

“Yaaa!!!!  Do you know how I have been dying to meet him one day and I’ll be like, Hi Hayes, you’ve been my long time crush from college and it has always been my dream to be your lawful wife” Natalie said, dramatically and Tessa rolled eyes again.

“Hayes isn’t going to do that” She replied and Natalie scoffed. “You don’t like him anyways so let me have my own chance with him.” “Trust me Nat, that guy is an arrogant jerk you don’t want to get hooked up with him” Tessa warned, packing her clothes in a luggage bag. “I don’t mind giving him all what I have, send me the address of his house and I’ll come visit you sometimes” She said with excitement and Tessa chuckled. “Not like you’re actually coming to find me or something, you’re only coming to see Hayes Flynn” Tessa replied.She packed the last thing she wanted and she stood up from the soft sofa bed.

“All done! I’m off Natalie!” She said. Kelly ran to her with a sad puppy look and Tessa giggled as she carried it. “I’m going to miss you Kelly but I’ll be back” She smiled, and like it could even understand what she was saying. She dropped the dog down and it ran back to Natalie. “Bye Tessa” Natalie hugged her with a cute smile and Tessa reciprocated. “Ok now release me” She said and they both laughed as Natalie let go of her.

HAYES’S MANSION

Hayes arrived back home with the children. Nathan got discharged so quick cus it was just minor. His eyes landed on a different car lying in his garage and he knew someone was in. “Stay behind me Nathan, Liam” He said and they obliged, walking behind him.

Hayes slowly opened the main door and his eyes stared round the living room but he couldn’t find anyone. “Hi brother” Someone came out of nowhere but Hayes didn’t move a bit because he knew he would be expecting that. “What are you doing here Xavier?” Hayes asked and Xavier smirked as his eyes moved to the cute buddies beside Hayes. “Hi uncle Xavier!” Liam and Nathan chorused, smiling at him.. “Hi sexy buddies!” Xavier chuckled, taking turns to embrace them. “We missed you!” Liam said. “I missed you both more” Xavier pecked both cheeks. “Boys, go upstairs” Hayes commanded. “Yes dad” They chorused, rushing upstairs to their rooms. “Aren’t you going to offer me at least something to drink Hayes?” Xavier turned to his brother and Hayes scoffed, closing the door behind him.

“I didn’t invite you here at all” . “I only came here to take my shares from the company” Xavier said, looking serious. “Shares? Did I just hear you say shares? You’re drunkard Xavier! I can never let a drunkard ruin a company dad suffered to build to this level!!” Hayes fired at him and Xavier clenched his fist.

“I’ve changed Hayes! Can’t you see I’m not that way any longer! Give me another chance to prove that to you!” Xavier fired back at him and Hayes scoffed inwardly. “Get out of my house” He replied, turning away to go upstairs. “Hayes please listen” Xavier ran to him, trying to touch him but he turn swiftly to him and landed a punch on his face, and Xavier staggered. That moment, Tessa walked in with smile but it died down when she saw what’s going on.

“Hayes lookalike?” She mouthed, surprisingly and Hayes saw her. “Sir... What... What’s going on?” . Instead of replying, Hayes glared at her arrogantly before walking upstairs. “Lookalike?” Tessa faced the bleeding Xavier. He scoffed angrily before walking out of the house. “W-What just happened?”,
