Chapter 2

HAYES’S MANSION

Tessa didn’t need a taxi cab since Hayes prepared everything like he had known she’d come back to him. He actually instructed one of his personal drivers to bring her to his place. “Thanks” Tessa smiled when she came out from the car. “My pleasure miss Thompson” The driver smiled back and Tessa chuckled, shaking her head as she walked into the house.

She mouthed a big wow when her eyes met the cool colourful walls of the house, the frames on the wall giving it more dazzling and alluring looks. “How can an arrogant jerk be living in this kind of house?”. She didn’t know when she walked to a frame and started touching them one by one. One was a picture of a cute baby boy and the other was another cute boy. Her eyes went to another and she saw the guy who she bumped into at the company. “He is really Hayes Flynn’s brother” She gasped, touching the picture. Her eyes moved to the next one and there he was. He was just a teen then, he wasn’t even smiling. He was wearing a cold look on his face. “He isn’t even smiling... What a goat” She scoffed.

“Are you going to stand there forever?” A voice was heard. Tessa flinched and almost broke the frame but she held it quickly before slowly turning.Her eyes landed on two young hotties. They were glaring hard at her with a cold expression. Just like Hayes, they took after their father. “Um... Hi” She smiled awkwardly, returning the frame back to it’s position.

The one looking quite older scoffed, walking upstairs to his room. “Hi” The younger one greeted, walking away too. “Oh .. He didn’t tell me they were also rude” She muttered. “Oh, guys. I’ll be your new Nanny from now on but you can both call me Tessa” She addressed. The one on the stairs heading to his room stopped to look at her.

“We didn’t tell our dad we were in need of a nanny? Besides, if we need a nanny we will look for a more beautiful and chubby one not the one looking like a tin can of sardine standing in front of us” He replied, glaring hard at her.

“What! I’m a tin can of sardine?! Boys, I’m more older than you so you should learn how to speak nice to me” She shunned him immediately. “Tin can” The second boy mocked and Tessa shot dagger eyes at him. “I thought Nanny’s are supposed to be kind but why are you so angry?” The older one asked again. “Oh my goodness! I’ll go make something for you guys while you both have your bath” She replied, ignoring them till she got to the kitchen. They both giggled cutely, running upstairs to their room.

Five minutes later, they came back downstairs now changed in a casual clothes. They went to the dining room to see two plates of fried rice and chicken waiting for them. “Seems like she’s quite fast” The younger one shrugged, taking his seat.

“She isn’t Nathan.. if it was me I’ll only spend two minutes making us lunch” The older one said proudly. “Like you can even turn on the gas cooker” Nathan scoffed, rolling his eyes. “Whatever” The older one was about eating when an idea came into his head. “Wait Nathaniel, let’s add small pepper to our food” He smirked creepily.

“No way! We both know I’m allergic to peppers!” Nathan replied and he groaned. “C’mon Nathan, we both don’t like the new Nanny dad got for us and just like how we chased out the previous one, we’re gonna chase her away too” He whispered, mischievously.

“Why is it supposed to be me and not you Liam?” Nathan asked. “Because it’ll be more fun” He replied. Nathan sighed when Liam slowly tiptoed into the kitchen. Soon, Liam ran back to the dining room with a cup full of grounded chilly peppers, he poured it on Nathan’s food and his too before dropping it. “Now eat” He smiled and Nathan nodded. Little by little, He ate from his food gently,  and his eyes bulged out when his body began itching him. “Ahh!! Liam what did you do?!!!” He screamed in pains and Liam quickly covered his mouth. “Shush! She would know!” Liam snapped at him but then Nathan kept shouting.

“My body!! Ahhh!!!” Tessa ran straight into the dinning room , panting heavily from upstairs. Her eyes widened when she saw red marks on Nathan’s body. The allergies are starting to take place. “Younger one!!!” She shouted, rushing to him. “His name is Nathan and not younger one!” Liam almost snapped at her. “What.. What’s happening to him?” She asked, feeling nervous.

“You poured too much pepper in our food! Thought dad would have instructed you not to!” Nathan shouted at her and Tessa’s eyes bulged out.

“No!! I swear I didn’t put too much pepper. I made sure I tasted it before serving it to you guys” Tessa started freaking out. She surely don’t want to loose her job. “I’m calling dad!” Liam shouted rudely. He brought out his phone from his pocket and dialled Hayes’s line. “Please don’t! I swear I didn’t put too much pepper!” She kept shouting. “Hello dad” Liam voice came up and Hayes answered. Over the phone, the screams of Nathan’s voice could be heard and Hayes almost went mad. He doesn’t joke when it comes to his son’s. “What’s going on Liam?! What’s happening!!” He shouted over the phone.

“The new Nanny you gave to us actually put too much pepper into our food and it’s affecting Nathan right now dad” Liam lied, smirking arrogantly at Tessa. “Wait! I didn’t!” Tessa tried defending herself but it was too late because Liam hung up already. “Dad is coming” He said. “Please somebody do something!!?” Nathan screamed. His body was starting to turn red, his throat itching him severely and he couldn’t stop scratching.

Tessa made an attempt to touch him but he shoved her away. “Don’t touch me!!!” He shouted at her, and Tessa jumped crazily in the air

“Eee! I’m finished ooo!! I didn’t do anything wrong!!!” Minutes later, Hayes bursted into the house, he ran straight into the dinning room, rushing to carry Nathan. “Nathan! Nathan! What happened?” He shouted, Nathan could barely opened his eyes talk more of his mouth. “She did this!” Liam pointed at Tessa who started crying immediately and Hayes turned to her. His eyes went bloodshot as he stared at her with so much anger running through his veins.

“You!! I fucking only asked you to do one thing which was to take good care of them! How dare you!!!?” He yelled at her and she shivered. “I.. I didn’t do anything.” Her lips quiver in fear, voice shaky. “If anything happens to Nathan, I’ll break you into pieces!” He thundered, rushing out of the room with his son.

“We hate you!” Liam snapped at her, he gave her a funny look before running after them. “What have I done to deserve this?!”

She ran after them till they got outside. Hayes dropped the unconscious Nathan inside the car already and made to turn to the other door to drive when he saw her standing there.

“I dare you open this door and I’ll blind your eyes” He threatened angrily and Tessa swallowed. “I’m his Nanny, at least let me know how he is doing pls” Tessa replied, she touched the car door and made to go in. Hayes swiftly pulled off one of his shoes and stoned it at her, hitting her on the forehead, closer to her eyes.

“Ouch!” She shouted multiple times.
