CHAPTER 10

Nasrin.

Today being 20th October was the day my lefe(bridal gift ) was to be brought by ahmad's family.

Since our last meeting,I haven't heard from Ahmad ,he didn't come to see me again or even cared to call me, I don't care.

I woke up early following Mama's orders,I took my bath and dressed in a black and blue Ankara flay gown,did a mini make up ,carried my black Lv bag and went out of my room.

I went straight to Mama's room,I met her arranging something on her bed.

“Mama Inna kwana”(good morning),greeted her while squatting.

“antashi lafiya "(how was your night )she replied.

“alhamdulila I said.

Ever since mama found out about my modelling carrea ,she hasn't been the same mama I knew, she's always avoiding me ,I know I broke her trust but wlh I wish I can change back the hands of time .

“Kada kidawo gida saina Kira ki”(don't come back home till I call you)she said.

Today I wasn't allowed to be seen at home because ahmad's family will be bringing my lefe.

I met our driver in the parking lot and asked him to take me too karu ,where rufaida live’s

In 30 minutes we arrived rufys house,it was a milk and brown mansion,I always admired the setting of thier home.

Ruffys father is the IG of police in Nigeria,he is a very strict man but he still cares and have time for his children unlike baba.he married three wifes and they all live happily with each other , ruffys mother(hajiya salima)is a young Fulani woman, she's beautiful, caring and calm,I guess that was where ruffy got her traits from.

Malam shehu packed our Mercedes Benz in their parking lot and I hurriedly open the door,wollah I just can't wait to see ruffy.

I entered thier rufaidas part of the house through their kitchen Door at the back and saw Mary thier ever caring househelp,this lady over here was too good ,I really like her , ruffy told me her mom was already planning a grand wedding for mary.

“good afternoon”she greeted,Mary how are you doing I replied giving her a hug.

I'm fine”she said,two days we no dey see you for our house(we haven’t see you here in like forever ),she continued.

No it's not like that ,I said.

It's just that I will soon get married,I said bitterly.

Ahhhh we can't wait oooooo she said while smiling,I smiled back and left the kitchen to Meet ruffy.

Rufyyy!!!I shouted while bursting inside her room,this girl is Soo lazy , she was still sleeping and it's already 12pm.

I kept on shouting her name to wake up but this idiot here didn't burge,I had a silly plan so I ran downstairs to their kitchen.

Ohhhhh yes I'm a trouble maker.

I filled a cup with chilled water from thier dispenser and ran upstairs,I entered her room and smilled mischievously.

One .....two.......readyyyyyyyy..........gooooooooo ! and I purred all the water on our dear sleeping beauty and I started laughing.

Wayoooo Allah came ruffys sleepy voice,I couldn't help but laugh harder.

Kehh meyehaka (what is this)said ruffy while trying hard not to cry .

I looked up at her head and what I saw made me fall to the ground and laugh harder.

Ruffys hair was clunging at every corner of her head and it was wet .

What a sight to behold I shouted while pointing towards her head.

Sleeping beauty just hissed and opened the door to her bathroom before shutting it very hard and sure it made a very loud noise.

I looked at her room and shaked my head ,indeed I have a very lazy best friend before I set to work.

I cleaned and arranged everything in her room before she came out of the bathroom,I guess she was bathing.

Awwn Bestfriend!,I heard ruffys sweet voice say immediately she opened the bathroom door and came out.

What do you expect me to do when I have a lazy muchacho as a best friend, I said while adjusting the pillows.

Whatever”she said while entering her closet.

Girll ahmad's family are bringing my lefe today ,I said slowly.

She came over and hugged me, like mehhhnnn is this ruffy I couldn't help but chuckle,I hugged her back and the water works began.

“Everything will be okay inshallah”,she said after staying in silence for for minutes.

I hope soo ,I replied.

“Oyaaa get yourself inside that bathroom and wash your ugly face ”she said.

I just laughed and entered the bathroom,I washed my face and came out.

Is your driver still outside,ruffy asked.

I think so ,I said.

“Should we go and visit our class mates in school”she asked .

“Perfect idea ”,I replied.

You see our school epitome model Islamic school (emis)is located here in karu ,it's a day and boarding school,it's a must for ss3 students to become boarders immediately they entered ss3 but I and ruffys parents didn't agree to that policy so they talked to the school authority and suprisenly the school authority agreed.

So I and ruffy are the only day students in ss3.

Ruffy wore a black abaya with a black and white channel bag ,topped with a white loffers ,classy!.

We left their ruffys household after eating the tuwo and miyan kuka (hausa food ) maryy prepared.

Just 5 minutes before we arrived the school,ruffy started a covo.

“Nas Nas you know that idiot arifah and her wannabes are in school koh and you know they won't stand a chance to talk about what happened to you”

Arifah is a spoilt and pompous brat ,who thinks she can control everyone in the school just because her dad is the president of Nigeria, she’s nothing but a fake thing who only befriends people from high class backgrounds and did I forget to mention she's a young prostitute who throw herself on rich and handsome guys in our school.

When we were in ss2,her and a guy in ss3 where cought having sex in the school auditorium,she wasn't suspended because her dad was a very influencial man in the country,so that's why she does things and go Scott free.

After we alighted the car,we went straight to the girls hostel .

Shhhhhh let's suprise them ,ruffy said.

Before we entered,the hostel was silent as a grave yard, maybe they are on preep I told ruffy.

We entered hostel room c ,and saw I and ruffys squad ummiter(rabi)naseer,fatima(zahrah) ibrahim,zulaihat( zulnarh)yusuf,hussaina(hussy)Hassan makarfi and sakina(pelumi)raji eating something on pelumi and zahrahs bunk.

Girlsssssssssssssss!!,I and ruffy shouted at the same Time,they all turned with suprised faces and started jumping from the bed.

“Omgiieeee is that Nasrin ”, ummiter shouted

We haven't seen you in like forever,zahrah added.

“We miss you"pelumi said hugging me.

Ruffy,zahrah, ummiter, zulnarh and hussy later joined the hug.

Girls akwai gist ruffy said while breaking the hug

“Nasrin is getting married”,ruffy sorrowfully said.

Danallh kiche karyane”(please says it’s a lie )ummiter said

“Wallahi I'm serious,ruffy said.

And she went on explaining everything not even excluding the modelling part because they all found out I was a model last term , thanks to ummiter been a social media freak.i just sat on one of the beds looking at them.

Dammn we are so sorry Nas Nas ,they all hugged me,I couldn't help but cry .

In Allah everything will be okay"hussy said.

“Btw where is arifah and her wannabes”ruffy said just to ease the tension in the room.

I noticed we were the only ones in the room so I added and everyone.

They are all outside playing basketball"zulnarh curtly said.

“We wanted to leave the court because of arifah thats why we came back to the hostel ,aziinn she has been making a fuse since morning "added pelumi.

“That girl seriously needs to be shown her place in this school"ruffy said.

“Btw let's go and meet them " I said

We went to the other side of the school, where our classes where located and also the basketball court.

We were receiving hello’s ,hugs,from the students before I saw arifah shamelessly sitting on a guys laps ,I think the guy is also in ss3 but he's in ss3A.

I was talking to our English teacher (Mr akindele) when mama called me .

“Ki dawo gida yanxun Nan”(come back home right now) Ahmad is coming to see you.

Immediately she mentioned his name,I became angry ,so I signaled to ruffy ,she came over and I told her we should get going mama just called.

We were about going when arifah and her wannabes walk pass us.

Arifah stopped in our way and started laughing.

“See them "she bluntly Said.

I was trying my best to ignore her because I was already furious.

“You just came to show off,we all know the two of you wear designer clothing's,so you don't need to come to school and show offf afterall you guys look very horrible in them "arifah said while hissing.

Ruffy was about to give her a befeating reply when I dragged her and pushed her inside the car .

I was about entering the car when I looked up and replied arifah.

One day you will surely get someone who won't take your madness and surely teach you a lesson,I smiled and entered the car.
