Chapter 9

Trevor's funeral was conducted by me.

Trevor's parents are said to have passed out the first moment they saw his body and have not come to their senses to this day.

The Hudson family used to be the first family of Gregow, and even though it's fallen quite a bit now, there were quite a few celebrities in attendance.

The funeral was not lavish, but it was by no means simple.

This tombstone alone cost a million dollars or so.

I watched people of all shapes and sizes come to me.

My eyes were swollen as big as walnuts and my throat was hoarse.

So I nodded my head gently in greeting as they told me their condolences.

There were even some high school friends who had gotten the news from somewhere and came to the funeral.

My stomach lurched as I looked at their hypocritical faces.

The good thing is that after today, it's all behind us.

I even heard them whispering after I led them to their seats.

"What's Emma doing here?"

"I did hear that Trevor was so in love with her that he even secretly filmed her ......"

"Did ......"

I waited for everyone to take their seats and then picked up the microphone but couldn't stop coughing a few times, interrupting the chatter with a raspy voice.

"Thank you all for coming to Trevor ...... aka my husband's farewell party."

"As his wife, I'd like to say a few words to everyone."

"Trevor he--"

"It's disgusting."

Suddenly, the curtain behind me lights up-it's Trevor's picture.

There was a sudden silence on the stage until the first person who couldn't take it made a sound.

"Vomit!"

"That's disgusting!"

"Who put that picture up! Take it down!"

The scene is so chaotic that Trevor's parents look back and pass out.

It is indeed a picture of Trevor.

But not his best looking one.

Instead, it's a puffy, swollen, not-yet-corpse-cosmetic photo.
