Chapter 6: Give me a name

Morticia managed to get home, though she was shocked to have seen a taxi around at such a late hour. She slammed the door with a light thud after paying the driver.

Immediately after she entered the house, the taxi driver made a call.

"I've brought her home, Sin," he said and drove away.

Morticia quietly walked into the house. Her mother was sleeping on the couch with the television still on. She switched off the television and covered Ava with a blanket before heading to her own room.

The weight of what had happened at the party crushed down on her, and her heart felt like it was ripping apart.

She sat on the floor, resting her back against the door, and began to let her emotions out.

Why did she have to fall for a jerk like him? She had asked herself this question several times and still got no answer.

After crying for a long while, she drew out her diary and wrote:

"Dear diary, Klaus has hurt me again. I knew getting into Washington College was a terrible idea. This is going to be hard, but I promise myself that I'll end these feelings I have for him, starting now... so my heart won't hurt any longer."

---

[NEXT MORNING]

Vincent was busy making breakfast when Morticia walked into the kitchen.

"Ahh!" he jerked at the sight of her, almost spilling the water he was holding.

"What the hell do you look like that for?" he mumbled. Her face was pale, last night's makeup still smeared, and her eyes were slightly swollen and her lips parched.

Morticia ignored her brother and went to get the cereal she had come for.

"Did SpongeBob die?" he asked. That was one of her favorite shows.

Morticia shot a glare at him and went to the living room to eat.

After a while, Vincent joined her with his meal.

"Klaus told me about the party you went to last night."

Vincent and Klaus shared everything with each other, especially when it came to her.

"I don't want to talk about it," Morticia mumbled. She was going to start getting over Klaus, starting today. She was glad he wasn't here at the moment.

"At least tell me who upset you. Klaus checked the camera at the frat house. Was it Jamie?" Vincent asked.

"It's not Jamie. Don't go near him, and for the last time, I don't want to talk about it!" she snapped.

"Fuck, your mood swings make you look scary," Vincent mumbled and poured her a glass of water.

---

Days passed quickly. Klaus didn't show up at their home, and Morticia didn't care to know. In fact, she was glad he wasn't there.

If she happened to see him at school, she planned to ignore him.

After speaking with Rhea on the phone, Morticia glanced at herself in the mirror.

It was finally her first day of college. She had class at noon, and getting to school would take almost an hour. She really needed to apply get a dorm on campus so she wouldn't have to commute from home every day.

"Oh baby, you look sweet," her mother complimented her as she walked down the stairs.

"Thanks, Mom."

Vincent only shook his head and walked past her without a word. Morticia kicked his leg.

"What was that for?"

"You're not going to say anything?"

"About what...?"

"Never mind. I just felt like hitting you." She poked her tongue and ran out.

"She's such an innocent demon... Tsk," Vincent scoffed.

---

The campus was filled with students heading to their classes. Morticia felt a surge of excitement. She kissed her mother goodbye and headed to the classroom.

Upon arriving, she found it empty. It seemed she was the first to arrive.

As she stepped in, a leg crossed in front of her, causing her to fall hard onto the floor and hurt her knee badly. She winced as pain shot through her, blood trickling from her knee.

"What's up, little nerd? I've been waiting for school to resume just to see you."

Dimitri and two of her minions stood there.

Morticia shot a glare at her, prompting Dimitri to stomp hard on her hand.

"Stop! Argh!" Morticia yelled, but Dimitri didn't move her foot.

"The rule still stands, little nerd. Stay away from Klaus, or I'll roast your pussy," Dimitri chuckled. "Fuck, I missed messing with you."

She finally released Morticia's hand, took the apple juice from one of her minions, and poured the entire contents onto Morticia's hair, soaking her blouse.

Morticia sobbed on the floor as Dimitri laughed.

"Welcome to Washington, little nerd. See you around," she smirked and left.

Morticia looked down at her ruined outfit. How was she going to fix this before class started? What a great way to start college.

She grabbed her bag and quickly walked out of the room, only to see a hallway full of students. They all stared at her and began whispering among themselves.

She even spotted Jamie, looking at her with concern. Some students began laughing, making Morticia wish the ground would swallow her.

With teary eyes, she dashed out of the hallway. She ran as fast as she could until she bumped into a hard chest, her vision blurred by tears.

"What the..."

"I'm sorry," Morticia apologized before the person could curse.

"Bunnie?" His voice was soft, but when she looked up, she met the dark, metallic eyes of Klaus.

"What happened?" His face twisted in anger as he scrutinized her. His eyes darkened when they landed on the bruise on the back of her hand.

Without a word, she tried to leave, but he held her back.

"Who did this?" he asked, his voice cold.

"Let go," she tried to pull her hand away, but his grip was strong.

"I'm not letting you go until you tell me who did this to you, Bunnie. You're not walking away from me this time," he growled, making Morticia's heart skip a beat.

She had never seen him this angry before.

"Say the fucking name, Bunnie."

---

Nica was busy watching Vincent's dance video. The guy was hot, and his moves were perfect.

She clicked the like button and kept scrolling. The door opened, and Dimitri and the other girls walked in, causing Nica to quickly hide her phone.

Dimitri sighed as she sat on the couch. "It was fun messing with that bitch," she laughed.

"You messed with someone? Without me? Who was it?" Nica asked.

"Chill... it's just the little nerd," Dimitri scoffed, grabbing a bottle of alcohol to drink.

"Morticia?" Nica's eyes widened. "Why would you do that? That's not cool."

"I knew you'd react like this. I still don't get why you side with her. Don't tell me you have a crush on her brother, Vincent."

Nica swallowed. "No... no... I don't."

The door swung open, and their eyes snapped to Klaus, who stepped in with a menacing aura. His eyes blazing with fury.

"Baby," Dimitri smiled seductively, but the smile disappeared when she saw the figure behind him-Morticia.

"Get up, Dimitri," he ordered coldly.

Dimitri stood, as did the other girls, who trembled under Klaus's intense gaze. They knew better than to provoke him further when he was in this mood.

He'll ruin them.

"What's going on, Sin?" Dimitri asked, pretending not to know why he was there.

"Nica," Klaus called, his voice thick, sending a chill down Nica's spine.

"You know what to do. Don't dare to it soft," he added, and Nica panicked.

"W-why me?" she stuttered.

Klaus's cold gaze flicked to her. "Would you prefer I do it myself? I don't mind breaking my rule about not hitting women. You know how messy that will be."

Dimitri's eyes widened. "Sin... what the heck?"

Nica faced Dimitri. "I'm so sorry, Demi," she whispered before landing a hard punch on her face. Dimitri staggered, her nose bleeding.

Morticia flinched, not expecting that.

Nica looked at Klaus, who gave her a look that said: 'Continue'.

Having no choice, Nica grabbed Dimitri's collar and punched her hard again.

"Bitch!" Dimitri cursed, trying to block Nica's next attack.

"What the hell are you all standing there for?" Klaus asked the other girls. They immediately joined Nica, beating Dimitri, who fell to the floor trying to shield herself. Blood oozed from her mouth and nose as she cried in pain.

"Stop this!!! Fucking stop this, Klaus!!" Dimitri screamed in frustration.

Klaus suddenly turned to Morticia, his gaze still cold.

"Should they stop?"

Morticia's eyes widened. Why was he asking her? She glanced at Dimitri, still being beaten... and, somehow, found it satisfying.

A smile crept across her face, and she replied with pouted lips...

"Nope... not at all."
