Chapter 6—Grumpy CEO Walked Out

I quietly closed my laptop. She’s in trouble if I catch her. On the other hand, Faye seemed to have finished cleaning when I turned to face her. She didn’t say anything, but she kept glancing at me.

“Next time, eat at home so you don’t disturb anyone,” I said, taking a deep breath.

“Yes, sir,” she replied softly, almost inaudibly.

“Good.” She cleared her throat, sniffing a little.

I looked at her slowly. She was wiping her mouth. Even though she didn’t say it, I could see how hungry she was from her movements. I sighed.

Oh, wait. You don’t need to feel sorry, Rome Wilson. It’s her fault. She hurt you. She left you. She replaced you.

Regina arrived carrying the food I asked her to buy. Thankfully, Faye didn’t follow the scent of the food. Regina glanced at her, but quickly turned her attention to me.

“Put it on my table and tell Thaliya to make a prototype of the new dishes so that I can taste it and make it official in the restaurant before they release and sell it,” I instructed.

“Right away, sir.” I wasn’t looking at her, but the only indication that she was gone was the sound of her heels slowing down.

I own a restaurant. Even though I’m not very skilled in the kitchen, I taste the food before it’s served. I’m not a cook, but I do know how to taste.

There aren’t many meal options at the restaurant because it’s still new, having only been open for a year and a half. However, especially at night, it’s a favorite among the patrons. It gets crowded.

My wandering thoughts were interrupted when a noisy person suddenly entered. We both stared at the entrance door. He was stunned when he saw the woman who quickly wiped her tears on the side.

“Faye Reagon?” Xino clarified. The woman immediately responded, as if they were close. “Wow!”

“Hello,” she answered Xino. I rolled my eyes to avoid her shy gaze as she looked at me. She knew that Xino was my best friend. When she was my wife, the two of them became friends too.

Xino came over to me silently. He used his thumb to gesture towards Faye.

“Isn’t it good that she’s here already?” he whispered, loud enough for me to hear. But I noticed him slowly reaching for my food, so I slapped his hand away.

“That’s mine,” I selfishly claimed, moving the food away from him.

“Just a bite!” he complained. “But why is she here so soon? Do you miss her so much that you hired her right away?” he added mischievously.

“Excuse me? No more questions,” I cut off his curiosity. He just scratched his head. “You’re ruining my day again, just like Faye did.”

“Give me some! You bought so much, you’re so stingy. I’ve given you several girls and you didn’t even say thank you,” he said with a pout, leaning over the table but still not taking his eyes off the food.

“You’re so dramatic, it’s annoying.” I rolled my eyes. “You know you’re really irritating, right? Out of all the things you could post about me, you chose the one where I look stupid!” I quickly pinched him. It made a sound, so it seemed like I was the one who got hurt.

“Aw! Are your hands made of steel? You don’t want that, even though there were so many good comments even though you looked ugly there? I even had some girls ready to meet up with you. You should be grateful that I exposed you,” he said with a proud tone. I scoffed.

“Really? You’re proud of that? Come here, I have something to say,” I signalled for him to come closer. And because he’s gullible, he approached, giving me the opportunity to pinch him again. “Delete it or else I’ll be the one to post your pictures with me.”

“Fine! My head hurts so much, damn you!” he complained, rubbing his head. Instead of feeling sorry for him, I just glared at him and leaned back in my seat.

“Delete it. I’ll check your wall later,” I threatened.

“Okay! Whatever, Wilson.”

Again, I heard something growl from her spot. Xino and I both looked at her. It was her stomach again. I could see her gulp and lick her lips. She pouted her lips when our eyes met, indicating that I should give her some food.

“Looks like you’re hungry, huh?” I almost grabbed Xino when he approached her and sat beside her.

Damn this man! Even now. I even let him taste my food! Tss. Sometimes it’s tempting to boss around a friend.

But a thought crossed my mind. He was a playboy, and I knew he had a new target, knowing that I had no care at all for that woman.

“N-No, I’m okay,” Faye hesitated, turning to me.

I used to feel jealous when other men asked her that, but now, I don’t care.

Was she hoping I would come back to her in that state? Never.

She’s so far away. She’s low class. I’ve dated so many celebrities and models. If it were just her, it would be like I’m stooping down to an insect.

“I ordered food, let’s share,” Xino said with a smirk, clearly flirting with Faye. “Others are so stingy,” he hinted to me.

“Fuck you,” I cursed and checked my schedule on my phone.

“I’m really fine, don’t bother.”

I’ve noticed since earlier that she’s been nervous, as if she was seeking help for no reason. She was asking for my help.

I also noticed her hands, they were shaking. She’s been like that since Xino approached her.

“It’s okay. You’re cute. Are you free tonight?” Xino asked with a flirtatious tone.

“Huh? What are you saying?” One replied, pretending to be coy.

I just wore my AirPods. Their voices were deafening, especially one, it was irritating.

Regina sent an email informing me that she got the information of the applicants for the secretary position. It’s good that Faye will be transferred to another job. She might be a problem here. I don’t want to waste time teaching her things.

I examined the women that Regina gave me. They are pretty, but typically not my type. They are sexy, good to lie down with, but again, not my type to be my spouse.

“So, are you single?” I furrowed my brow at Xino’s question to Faye. Is he mocking her?

“Yes, why?” I noticed that her shivering hands were back to normal.

“Rome is single and me too,” he replied mischievously. I just rolled my eyes. “Who’s more handsome, me or Rome? Oops, can’t mention Rome! Who would you choose between us if ever?”

What a fool! Damn it, he even dragged me into this.

“Xino, it’s her time to duty. She didn’t come to work just to flirt or if you have any intentions. If you make a conversation again during your work hours, I will deduct 20 percent of your salary,” I remarked. He seemed scared and kept quiet. “Not only that, Xino, I’ll ban you from coming here. Try me.” I shook my head out of annoyance.

“S-Sorry, sir. P-Please move away,” I heard her whisper to him.

“Oh, sorry, Faye,” Xino said. I hissed. He approached me but I ignored him. “You’re so grumpy, sibling,” he added. I didn’t respond and just listened to music.

I immediately turned it off when the song I hated suddenly played. I don’t know if the world is mocking me. It’s because this is Faye’s favorite, the one Jose Marie Chan sang, which I used to sing to her.

I just put my phone and AirPods in the cabinet. Then, the delivery man came to handle a bunch of food. Xino looked at me mischievously and approached Faye who was quietly working.

“I know you’re hungry, Faye cutie. Bro, it’s their break time,” he showed his wristwatch.

I just shook my table and left my office. I found myself standing in the library of my company, with my hand on my hips.

It was the first time I left my office just to avoid the two of them. They are a headache. Walking out from the office suddenly made me comfortable, but I wonder what they are doing there while I’m away. Tsk.

If they want to do it, then go ahead. No one will stop them.

I scratched my nape. Why do I care? Why am I bothered?

A woman in a blouse that almost revealed her breasts approached me. She was biting her lip. She is one of my employees and one of the copywriters, but it seems like she will eventually be off the list. I smell something fishy.

“Sir, are you busy?” she stroked her index finger on my chest. I was attracted to her eyes and her red lips. She was seducing me, and I could smell her scent as if I wanted to take her to bed and make her my afternoon delight.

“Not really,” I answered as I started unbuttoning her blouse. It will be quick.

“Can you be mine?” she asked and helped me undress her.

“Yes,” I simply answered and kissed her passionately, mimicking the touches I was giving to her bouncy mounds.

Before I could do much, she made a loud noise inside the library.

I don’t care if people see us. I won’t be in trouble, but this woman will be. I know some people are starting to watch us. They are the ones who want to ruin their own image, not me.

I’m just here to relieve their heat and itch.

I sat her on the desk near the bookshelves. She was unbuckling my belt, so I removed her stockings right away as if I pulled the chair.

I kissed her to give her more pleasure. I slid my tongue inside and savored every bit of her lips. We also battled with our tongues in her mouth. I nibbled her neck and collar to leave marks. The heat was building up all over my body.

I can feel my length standing at his home. Darn, I wanted to feel it. I want to enter it in a cave right away. I can’t wait for this moment. My thirst suddenly burst out.

“Ah, damn it! How rude! Yuck!”

I pushed the woman when I heard a scream. It was Faye, she was shocked and full of disbelief in her eyes. It seemed that the papers she was supposed to put on the desk of the woman she was sitting next to fell because she covered her mouth.

“Tch.”

As I fixed my pants. My manhood almost came out of my underwear. I just glimpsed this girl and let her fix her uniform. I rolled my eyes and ambled away from her.

I hit Faye’s shoulder, causing her to fall along with the other papers she was carrying.

Annoying.

That girl has always been a nuisance in my life. Maybe the luck given to me is that she is far away from me because I know she will ruin my happiness.
