YOU WILL BE MINE

The other female fighters arrived today and all I can see are their intense gaze and sizing up one another. We don't know what the rules are, but since it is my first day of training I need to focus. The King gives us three days to prepare. I need to focus, though I don't want this kind of game and also, I don't want to be the Queen. Still, I want to prove that I am not weak like what the King said last night. I may not be the best fighter in the world, but I know my strength and abilities. If only he was my mate, I would do anything to win this title.

"Look at all those girls, Kath, they look like wild animals that will kill each other in no time," Ruby said.

"They are very competitive since it's the Queen's crown we were talking about here," I said, doing some stretching.

We are all dressed in yoga pants and sports bras. I know my body is not as perfect as theirs, but I know I can do that.

I saw Loui in her super mini shorts and almost saw her butt as she moved. She looks hot but I'm not impressed. She looks like a slut to me. Can she wear something appropriate?

"Hey, Kath! Why are you staring at that little bitch out there?" Ruby said.

"I don't like her. I know it's odd, but I can’t help myself disliking her. Let's just start running in this huge open ground." I said to her, leading the run.

I remember my brother Sam used to run with me and I am second to the fastest wolf in my old pack. Oh, how I miss my big brother.

"Kath, watch out!!!" Ruby shouted.

Before I could process what she was talking about, blood started to run into my face. Someone threw that rock into my head.

"Who the hell did that?" I shouted.

"Oh, I'm sorry? I didn't mean to hurt you. I thought you could catch it since you have a strong sense, right?" Loui said, smirking at me.

"Are you seriously smiling at me right now after you threw that rock in my face?" I said angrily.

I looked into her eyes and I caught a glimpse of happiness in there. She's having fun out of this? Hurting someone?

"Nope! You're just stupidly spacing out, that’s why it hits you." Loui said.

‘Can we kill her?’ My wolf asks.

‘Don't know but I wanted to.’ I answered.

I walked to her. "Stop bitching around Loui. I swear if you do that again, I will snap and break your neck." I said.

"Oh really? I'm scared." She said while acting that she shivered. "I am one of the high-ranking wolves in this place. Don't you dare try me, pup?" She said.

"Oh really? That status of yours doesn't make me afraid of you. Throw that unlikely attitude of yours to others, but not at me again." I said, turning my back, but before I could fully turn, she grabbed my hands and threw me.

Before she could hold me again, I rushed to her and held her face while bringing my knees to hit her face. Blood easily spreads out instantly.

"You bitch!" She said, throwing punches at me while I dodged it before it hit me.

"You may be a high-ranking wolf here, but I am a fighter and I'm alpha Ramus's daughter, so don't make me hurt you more. I hate being played by Loui." I said, pushing her off of me.

She backed away quickly. "Don't threaten me, weakling. I am the best! No one will beat me, not even an ugly bitch like you." She said.

I thought it was over until she threw a dagger straight at my heart, but before I could dodge, a hand captured it an inch away from me.

"What the hell is happening here?" An angry voice of King Zeus booms around the training ground.

I was surprised he caught the dagger before it hit me.

"That girl is a bitch. She attacked me! I want her out of this castle and throw her into the dungeon." Loui said, feeling overpowering among us all.

"Who do you think you are bossing me around?" He said, looking into Loui's shocked eyes, then to me.

"Whoa! King Zeus don't look at me like that. I did nothing wrong. You can ask them if------" cut me off.

"I don't want this thing to happen again. Stop acting stupid, not only you, Kath, but all of you." He looked around.

"Wait why me? I didn't do-----" he cut me off again.

"I don't need your explanation. Now all of you move and train yourself, you have two more days left." He said before leaving me so mad about this.

He doesn't even listen to my explanation and concluded that I indulged in a stupid action.

I look at Loui who is now turning her boots off in the training room. What the hell is her attitude!!!!

I grab a sandwich and coco jam in the kitchen. I have been here for almost an hour now. I hate this kind of feeling that the king thinks of me as a bad person. I grabbed a piece of sandwich and juice and headed to his office. I need to talk to him about this stance that he thinks I've done.

I knocked first before pushing the two big doors of his massive office.

"What brings you here Kath?" Even without looking, he knows who I am.

"I brought you snacks," I said.

He looks at me and the food I got for him and arks his brow.

"Spill it out. What brought you here or I will throw you and your stupid food out of my office." He said, looking back into those papers he was reading.

This man has an attitude problem. He is always angry when I talk to him.

"About the event earlier, I want you to know that I didn't hurt her on purpose. She threw a stone at my face earlier." I said, but he was still not paying attention. "I don't want you to think that I'm a wild cat having fights right there because I will not harm anyone who did anything wrong on----" I was cut off again because of the loud bang on his table.

"Is that the only reason you came here?" He asks.

I nod.

"I know what happened there, Katharina." He stands and walks towards me. I backed away knowing he might kill me for intruding on his privacy. "I saw it in my own eyes. I have been watching all of you when she did that and to tell you the truth, I didn't catch the dagger to save you. I just don’t like that kind of mess in my castle." He said, still moving forward. "I hate wolves being weak. I hate that they don't concentrate on their surroundings and I hate that you have almost killed yourself there." He said, looking very pissed off.

Wait... what did he just say? Confusions started to bubble inside my head.

"Now, if you want me to think the other way, then prove yourself and win this fight. Besides, if I'm going to decide, I want a mate who can fight side by side with me. Not a girl that I have to protect all the time." He said half an inch away from my face.

I stared at his lips and his beautiful eyes on him. Those silver eyes captivate me and make me paralyzed for a while.

"What if I lost and died over there just to prove to you I'm not weak?" I asked.

"So be it. If you're not weak, you will be the one who will stay beside me for the rest of your life." He said, turning away and sitting in his chair.

"That's a stupid prize," I said.

He looks at me once again, puzzled by my words.

"Then what do you want?"

"I don't really want the crown and popularity. I wanted to be treated nicely and not the type of queen who follows every word you say," I said.

"The Queen's crown is the prize and being mated to me. Are you not satisfied with that?" he asked.

"I know, but I want you to listen to what I’m going to say right now, if I win, you will be mine and only mine. I will be your better half and not a dog who will just follow your orders. I’ve been in that life, I don’t want to repeat that life again." He looked surprised at my words. Without another word, I got out of his office and ran into the woods. What did I say?

Did I really say that? Or am I just dreaming? Did I actually say that I wanted him to be mine? Shit!!!! This is bad... I said to myself.
