Chapter 15

Chapter 15 – Katharina Point of view

This is the day we've been waiting for. The whole day training yesterday was tough. I also didn't see the King in the palace. Maybe he's doing a lot out of the palace.

The battle field is now fill with the packs. The Queen and King is sitting at the King's Veranda looking at us. We are all in the back the stage they created.

The King is now giving her speech to all of us.

"Thank you everyone for coming today. I would to extend my happiness your support for the battle. This is only a one-day battle. The winner will be the Palace New Queen." He said. The crowd shouted, cheering their representatives.

"Everyone listen, I will give the first battle for this girl. Since the female fighters thought to use Bows and Arrows to protect themselves when they were younger. The first challenge is Archery!" The crowd get wild and shouting from their sit. "They need to hit the middle of the circle board. The first Ten fighters who successfully do it will proceed to the next challenge. So, females!!!! Good luck." Another shouting and cheering from the crowd.

I saw Alpha Duren with Beta Justin and some of the pack members in the bench. I look at the Omnirous pack and saw my Dad and brother together with our pack fighters.

They haven't seen me since I am the last to do the challenge. I wish my Dad will not make a scene and drag me out of the stage.

I need to focus now. The first challenge is the archery. We need to hit the middle of the circle board one kilometer away from us.

They are looking so serious in assessing their bow, I, on the other hand just standing there and sizing the appropriate position of my arrow since there is a change of wind blows in the field

A tiny smile lifted in one corner of my lips when I finally manage to determine the flow of the wind.

My mother thought me about this when I was seven. Since then I love to hunt using the bow since I can't shift yet.

We all have ten arrows in our hand. I just need one bullseye to pass this challenge. The King told me to fight and win this war, he wants me to prove myself that I am not weak like an omega.

All of them shoot right the target. Ruby is also done and it's my time to show myself on the crowd.

"Our last challenger, Katharina Omnirous of Alurious pack." Shouted by the announcer.

The moment I step out, the Alurious pack and Omnirous pack shouted for me. I look at my father who is now looking very shocked in my appearance on the battlefield and my brother almost jump and run to me if it wasn't hold by one of the guards in the palace.

This is not the time to think of them. I need to battle and win this game. I look at the King and he is looking at me also. His eyes really hold power to make my knees jelly.

'I can do this! I know I can. Mother will be proud if I do this, she's watching me.' I said to myself.

I look in the sky and assessing the wind once again, I position my arrow and look at the King eyes.

'King Zeus, I am not weak!'

I know he can read my mind right now.

I release my first arrow, everyone seems quiet when I release it without looking. The moment I heard the thud sound of my arrow, I turn and smile at the King.

Everyone shouted since it was my first attempt since some of the fighters took two to five arrows to win.

He smirks at me. That's all I need to get the arrow once again.

The announcer tells me that it's over but I want to prove the King that it's not luck.

I position the arrow once again and look into his eyes. I smirk to him also and release my arrow. Again it hit the middle causing the first one to break in the middle.

Feeling proud of myself. I turn around and throw the bow into the stage. I can feel his eyes on my while the crowd is cheering for me.

The announcer, announce the four female fighters who are eliminated and cannot continue the fight.

"The next challenge is running. All of you will run around the field three times. No shifting. No claws. No using of wolf strength. The King and Queen can sense if you use your wolf strength. The first six who reach the finish line will continue the next challenge. Girls, please position in your line." The announcer

I'm getting nervous about this. I know I am not the fastest and I didn't even have time to run with the pack. Only Sam trained me. I look at him and he smiles at me, giving me a warm smile saying I can do this.

"Ladies, ready.... and GO!"

I run as fast as I can but I can't reach the first spot. I look at the finish line.

I can do this..... I said to myself, but I see the King eyes looking at me.

I remember what he said. I am weak!!

But I'm not!

I am strong!

I can do this...

I saw some of them already reach the finish line I can do this, I don't need my wolf strength for this.

One...

Two....

Three....

I'm here!!!

I look into their eyes. Am I in into top six? I look at them and saw that I am seven in the position.

I feel so down in the thoughts that I already lose in this fight.

I look at him and he shows no emotion to me.

Is he mad? Disappointed?

"Don't leave the stage for a while for those who get the seven to ten position. The King and Queen will tell who are the top 6 in this challenge." The announcer gives the microphone to the King.

"As the announcer told you before you start, no using wolf strength but some of you used it. Control is very important girls and I'm very disappointed of some of you." He looks at everyone. "Now, when I call your name please step forward. The names that I will call will be the top six." Everyone is listening very well. "Loui, Kristin, Ruby, Ella, Trish and lastly......" he looks at me and smirk again. "Katharina." He said and the crowd explode again with the news...

I can't believe it that I made it to the top six. I release the breath that I don't know I was holding.

Ruby and I hug one another. We are very happy that we made it. I look at him and without even thinking I wave at him and give him thumbs up.

A smile comes into his lips. I can't believe that he smiles at me. Ruby and the other seems to notice that awkward moment but they just shrugged it off and keep hugging every single one of us except Loui.

"Settle down every one. The next battle will bring the top two contestant who will do the last challenge." We all stand still and listening very carefully. "All of you will have a name tag at your back. You will all fight to take that off from their back. The two female who maintain their name tag will win this battle." The announcer.

They put us our name tag at our back and position us in circle form with a distance between one of us. This one will be hard since we are all fighter. My sense is on it's high. I an alert in every movement they make.

"Okay girls, let the fight begin."

We look at each other assessing who is weak in the group for us to attack but Loui is getting aggressive. She launches towards me but Ruby push her away. She nods at me to fight someone else and she will take care of Loui.

I saw Kristin attacking the girl name Ella. I run to her and hold her in the neck. I tear her name off her back. The Guards get her down the stage. One out.

Looking into others, I saw Ruby still fighting Loui. Trish is now attacking me trying to tear my name tag but I push her away that cause Kristin to tear her tag. Now it now me and Kristin, Ruby and Loui.

Kristin claws is visible and teeth ascending. My wolf wants to go out but I keep her in. I need to fight this without her help. If I win this fight, I needed her full strength.

Kristin attack me with her full strength. She pins me down on the ground but I manage to push her out of me. Her claws dig into my flesh and blood starting to flow down my arm.

I watch her moves and smirk when I spot her weakness. I throw a punch in her face and kick her rib cage. I caught her arms in the midair but before I throw her out the battle stage I tear her name tag.

I look at Ruby shock seeing her blood flowing in the stage. Her name tag is already tear out in her back but Loui is keeping her pin down in the ground.

"Loui that's enough. She's already lost." I said to her.

"Enough? Hah make me stop?" She said putting more pressure in her feet that is on top of Ruby's face.

My anger is building inside of me, seeing my friend lying on the floor almost life less. I run into Loui and push her away. I hold Ruby in my hand but someone pull me away.

Loui drag me away from Ruby's body and punch me in the face. She pushes me out of the stage.

"You’re such a wear Bitch, crying for your enemy. WEAK!" She slaps me in the face but before the second one come into my face I caught her in the air.

"She's my friend Loui and I am not WEAK!!!" Then I push her away.

"That's enough!" The Queen shouted. "Keep that energy to the next round." She said.

I bow my head to her and looking to my friend body. I run to her and help her to the bench to cure her wounds. Some of our pack mates help her too specially the healer.

"Fighters in the stage now." The announcer calls us, Loui and I. The remaining fighter.

I look at her and the anger start to build up again. My wolf is mad at her also. She wants her head. She looks at me as fiercely as I do.

"This will be the last challenge. You need to fight until the one gives up. The one who give up need to tap the stage floor." He said.

This is great!!!! I said to myself.

"The winner will be the new Queen and Kings mate." A shout from my pack and my previous pack gives me energy to do this.

I look at my friend Ruby, I'm going to revenge for her. She helps me so I will return the favor.

If she didn't surrender.... I will kill her...
