I caught up with mommy and daddy outside Nic and I’s room.

"It's good and you're here" mommy pulled me closer to her "Where's Aina?"

"Why are you here?" I asked back.

"Nicholas was talking with your grandfather right now"

"Then?" I immediately noticed his anxiety "Are you curious what they are talking about? Will the inheritance be passed on?" I had better whisper the last question.

"What is he telling you Aidle?" daddy enters the conversation.

I sniffed and just shrugged.

"Mom, dad" my sister simply hit me afterwards and stood in the middle of our parents.

"Where have you been?"

"Outside dad. It's windy" we both thought correctly. "Looking for the bride and groom downstairs"

"They'll be there in a minute"

The door opened. Revealing Nicholas with an envelope on his right hand.

"Here you are" he said politely and approached me. From my parents, his eyes went to me.

"I'm looking for you downstairs" my sister announced.

"C'mon?" his hand traveled from my elbow down to my hand. Then he wrapped his arms around the two of us. The way he did it sent shivers down my spine. I moved slightly away but he pulled me back. "We're going down. Won't you come with us?" he asked my parents and my sister who now can't draw a face.

"Of course, we'll go together" mommy walked first followed by daddy and Nicholas and me. Ate Aina stayed behind us.

"What's this?" Nic couldn't lie down when his sister suddenly snatched the envelope from him. My brother opened it and was obviously disappointed because it was empty. "Why is it empty?"

"I was ordered to throw that away. Why, are you expecting something?"

"I'm not" she smiled awkwardly. Our eyes met but she looked away. Guilty?

Someone was starting to show their real intention.

I secretly smiled. Gotcha!

I was welcomed by the beautiful scenery outside. This is another day for me, another opportunity to see the world beyond.

I smiled and stretched my arms, letting the wind touch my whole body.

This is my third day here on the island. I thought I would regret agreeing to stay here but I didn't. I love this place!

Wearing a short shorts, spaghetti strap top with cardigan, and a pair of slippers I strutted outside.

I didn't even bother to put lipstick on my face, because my wife was the only one with me.

Yes. The only person, present in this secluded place was I and Nic.

This is what the clan decided on the night of our wedding. To leave the two of us on this island.

I tied my hair into a messy bun and made my way into the kitchen.

I didn't see Nicholas but I noticed a note on the table.

Eat.Wow! It's not obvious that Nicholas really thought about what? I was embarrassed by the length of what he wrote.

I opened the lid of the dishes he had prepared and immediately tasted them. Egg roll, bacon, salad, and pasta for breakfast. Luckily, I got a cool husband. I don’t know what would have happened to me without Nic. I still don't know much about household chores.

After eating, I went outside. To feel the sand and touch the sea.

My eyes immediately found Nic. It was on the boardwalk, sitting and seemed to be deep in thought.

I left him alone. I guess he needed it. To make a successful plan perhaps? I hope he can think of a trick for our stay here. We'll be staying here for one month. I can't imagine myself staying here that long, doing nothing. Except swimming, of course!

I thought of going to the other side of the island. To know what's in there, what beauty it possessed. Maybe I can find some inspiration for my work.

I stopped in front of a tree. I remember this tree, I remember this place. Here my sister and I met on the night of the wedding.

He opened his legs wider and in one swift move, I found myself being jailed by his arms.

"Why do we have to leave, if we can both sit here, right?" I felt his warm breath on my neck.

"Release me" I said with mixed threats. I tried to escape but he was too strong. With each move I made, he tightened his hug even more.

"Nicholas!" my angry thread.

"Just stay still. Faith" he said, calling me by my second name.

I was stunned and smiled slightly. Can I ask him to say it again? I found it sexy for some reason.

One more push in his arms wrapped around me and I finally gave up. I can't escape him.

I took a deep breath and calmed my nerves.

I was just starting to calm down when he suddenly gave me a kiss on the neck. I suddenly felt a volts of electricity run through my system.

This is fuckin insane!

"I'm leaving later" he suddenly said causing my shock. There are only two of us here, he will leave me.

"Where are you going?"

"At sea. Fisherman" I would have believed when I remembered he had no available boat. Because of his parents' order to take them to the other island.

They really made sure we didn’t have a available vehicle away from here. They expected that we would not last long in this setup. That anytime from now, we can leave and return to the city.

"Really?" I pout to suppress my own laugh. Letting my inside laugh is enough, no need to let it out. He might just get angry and hit me.

"I know that reaction wife" he said. Almost a whisper. "Christina is here" huh? Who's Christina?

I tilted slightly to see her reaction. Our eyes locked. Behind his cold stare, I can see warmth, purity, and ... I shook off the last idea. No, never! It can't be.

Even before the scene between the two of us heated up, I decided to go back to my seat.

I feel like I’m leaning against an iron. The only difference is, this iron has a heart.

I felt his heart beat. Unlike me, its pulse is calm. Like the calm sea, the wind, the surroundings. Nature seems to match how my husband feels. My spouse. I barely felt any delight at the thought. I have a spouse...

But who the hell is Christina by the way?

"Are you leaving?" I asked when I caught him cooking in the kitchen.

We also didn't stay long in our seats before. We went back to the mansion so he could cook lunch and I, so we could investigate.

Christina will never disappear from my mind. Want to know who it is, how is he and Nic? What do I know?

Hell! I can’t compete until I know who it is. I'm sure he'll be with Nic now. Does it carry a boat for them? They are both fishermen? I hope that's just a simple fishing what?

Why do I sounds like a possessive wife ?! What can I do, right? What do I know if he leaves with the others? That's nice.I suddenly remember something ... I will find that thing later. As soon as he leaves, I will begin my search. But then, good luck to me.

I sighed heavily, thinking how huge this goddamn mansion is.
