"Witwiw..." Lani whistled, teasing the new student standing in front of the class.
Ketty, who was behind Lani, tried to pinch her back.
Qiandra just shook her head slightly at the behavior of her two friends.
Ketty immediately moved to the empty seat beside Lani, causing Qiandra to widen her eyes.
The only empty seat in the classroom was now next to Qiandra. Previously, it was beside Lani, but now Ketty had taken it, making Lani, who was initially happy, immediately sullen with Ketty's actions.
"Ketty, why did you move?" Lani complained.
"I like it!" Ketty said while gazing at the man in front who was introducing himself as the new student. Lani sneered.
"Come on, please introduce yourself to your new friends," the teacher instructed the new student.
"My name is Abraham Lincoln," Abraham introduced himself to the class with an indifferent style.
“Abraham, you will be sitting next to Qiandra,” the teacher pointed to an empty chair near Qiandra.
"Wow... Messy! Qiandra, you win a lot to be close to the guy," Lani remarked suddenly.
Qiandra frowned and returned to focusing on her notebook, ignoring the new student who was now approaching her.
Abraham sat beside Qiandra, who suddenly felt uneasy due to her unfamiliarity with sitting next to men.
"Let's start the lesson now," the teacher began explaining the subjects for the next two hours.
Qiandra refocused on studying, paying no attention to the man beside her.
Meanwhile, outside the window, someone was peeking into Qiandra's class from the far end of the window.
Clenching his hands tightly, a sense of jealousy began to arise before he quickly left.
During the break, some students left the class, leaving Qiandra alone.
"Can we get acquainted?" Abraham extended his hand towards Qiandra.
"Sure, why not! My name is Lani," Lani quickly turned and shook Abraham's hand when he tried to introduce himself to Qiandra.
Ketty chuckled at Lani's actions, amused by her enthusiasm.
Plaque!
"It won't take long, people's hands will hurt if you keep shaking hands for too long," Ketty remarked, patting Lani's hand that had been holding Abraham's hand for a few minutes.
Abraham smiled faintly and then extended his hand back to Qiandra.
"My name is Qiandra Putri," Qiandra replied as she shook Abraham's hand.
"My name is-" Abraham, who was about to mention his name again, stopped as Qiandra spoke.
"I already know your name, Abraham, right?" Qiandra said.
Abraham nodded and proceeded to introduce himself to Ketty.
"My name is Ketty."
"Let's go to the canteen," Ketty suggested to her friends.
"Let's go..." Lani exclaimed, pointing at the door loudly.
"You two go ahead, I'll join you later," Qiandra said, still engrossed in her notes.
"It's a habit! Yes, let's go. Abraham, come with us! Let him be alone in the class," Lani boldly wrapped her arm around Abraham's hand.
"I still have a lot of assignments to finish. I need to submit this to Mrs. Vita first. It's the schedule for the event that needs approval before the student council meeting," Qiandra explained.
"You're a student council?"Abraham asked suddenly while slowly releasing Lani's hand, causing the girl to frown.
"Yes, Qiandra is the student council president, but beware of being fooled by him," Ketty answered the question that Qiandra should have answered.
"It's not clear, Ketty, who is the one who cheated," Qiandra focused on doing his assignment again.
At school, Qiandra appears calm, firm, and smart, known as a good student council president.
However, all of that was just a facade for him.
Outside of school, Qiandra is a rebellious girl who often wanders aimlessly, races motorcycles, hangs out with friends at nightclubs, and frequently bribes the nightclub staff because she doesn't have an ID card.
This behavior sharply contrasts with Qiandra at school, as her attitude is a way to cope with heartache.
After breaking up with Exal, Qiandra transformed into this rebellious persona to numb the pain.
She uses her role as the student council president to assert authority over Exal without raising suspicions.
Qiandra's pursuit of becoming the student council president at school was driven by her unresolved feelings for Exal.
"Yes, that's it! Let's head out first... come on, Abraham," Ketty said.
"Hmmm... I'm just here with Qiandra. I also want to borrow a notebook to record lessons that were missed before," Abraham refused Lani and Ketty's invitation.
"Okay! Then we just go together. Come on Lani," Ketty invited to embrace Lani's sullen shoulder because Qiandra can be close to Abraham.
"Qiandra, are you okay with me?" asked Abraham. Even though Abraham looked quiet and indifferent, the man was brave enough to be close to anyone he thought was comfortable.
"No, nothing. Just relax!" Qiandra replied indifferently, only looking at Abraham briefly and immediately returning to his writing.
Abraham nodded,
"Hmmm... can I borrow your book? If it's not finished now, I'll borrow your book to take home, okay?" Abraham boldly borrowed Qiandra's book, even though they had just met that morning.
"It's okay! You just have to choose which book to bring," Qiandra took out some of the books from his bag.
"I'll borrow a book that you think can be borrowed for a while, because it's impossible for me to write that much in one day. Later my hands will be sore," said Abraham while chuckling.
"Okay! I'll give you these two books," Qiandra gave his notebook to Abraham.
"Thanks."
"Sip!" He returned to focusing on writing.
While the two of them were seriously engrossed in their respective books, suddenly a group of people entered Qiandra's class.
They hadn't set foot in the class they used to attend for a very long time.
Exal, with a confident stride at the front, followed by his friends, approached Qiandra's seat.
"Move aside!" Exal ordered Abraham, who was writing beside Qiandra.
Qiandra, hearing a familiar voice, raised her head.
Now Qiandra's eyes met Exal's, and she immediately turned her face and looked at Abraham, who paid no attention to Exal and continued writing.
"Move aside!" Exal again demanded that Abraham vacate the seat next to Qiandra.
"Exal, what are you doing!" asked Qiandra, displeased with Exal's actions of hitting the table and driving away the new student beside him.
This was the first time Exal had returned to Qiandra's class after their breakup.
"I said, move! Are you deaf?" Exal's words elicited laughter from his friends, ignoring Qiandra's objections.
