Chapter 2: WAVERING URGE

I don't believe in love or fate anymore. But this situation...it's pretty unrealistic.

"I'm Calix. It's nice to meet you" He say pulling his hand forward for a hand shake giving that naughty smirk once again.I don't know what it is...but this guy sure knows his way around women.

"I'm going to the bathroom for a bit" I say walking away.

That's my way of saying goodbye.I sure need some time to cool off...Things were getting a little akward back there.

I wasn't gon' board a cab home, I just strolled down the streets feeling every sense of humidity.

Getting home, I lay on my California king sized bed, which was initially meant for Bastian and I.

I actually slept for fifteen minutes and It was morning...Gosh!..i didn't have a good sleep.

Thirty five minutes was all I needed to be at the academy....

****

CALIX keeps making me think the way my annoying ex did. It's so stupid to read too much into meaningless stuff.

"You idiot".I say in a rather annoying tone.

"Who's an idiot"?. The voice resounded behind me.

It was Calix. This was the perfect illustration of 'speaking of the devil'.

"Is this seaweed"? He asks, pointing at my artistic design.

"Why did you have to appear out of nowhere and surprise me like that?" I say with a little sarcasm in my tone.

"You're just insensitive. You left without a word, I thought you had something to say". He says staring me deeply in the eyes.

"I didn't have anything...."Now, It became so hard to even blink.

.......

And so he just sat there and stared at me as I worked, his unwavering gaze never leaving my face. There was an undeniable tension in the air, a silent understanding that we both felt but refused to acknowledge. It was almost as if time had stood still in that moment, trapping us within its grasp.

The silence grew heavier as Calix continued to watch me. His presence was like a magnetic force, pulling me closer despite my best efforts to resist. I could feel my heart racing, the sound of its beats echoing in my ears. The air between us crackled with anticipation, and I couldn't help but wonder what would happen if I gave in to this undeniable attraction.

**

My shoulders throbbed with pain as we made our way back home. Each step felt heavier than before, weighing down on both body and spirit alike.

"Are you alright?" Calix asked softly, genuine concern etched on his face.

I forced a smile despite the discomfort coursing through every fiber of my being."Yeah...just some old injuries acting up," I replied dismissively.

Calix's gaze lingered on me for a moment longer before he spoke again."You don't always have to bear everything alone,"he said earnestly."Let someone share your burdens".

His words resonated deep within me; perhaps it was time to let go of this self-imposed isolation.I took a deep breath, and as we continued walking,I realized that sometimes healing begins when we allow others into our wounded hearts.

Calix looked at me with concern, his eyes softening.

"Do you want me to give you a massage? I used to do it for my friends back in high school".He offered, a hint of playfulness in his voice

I hesitated for a moment, unsure if I should accept his offer. But the pain in my shoulders was too much to bear, and something about Calix made me trust him. "Sure, why not?". I replied with a smile.

***

We walked into his apartment and he motioned on me to seat on the couch. As he began massaging my shoulders with skillful hands, the tension slowly melted away and was replaced by a soothing warmth.

His touch was gentle yet firm, the perfect balance of strength and tenderness. With each knead and stroke, I could feel the knots in my muscles loosen and dissipate. It was as if he had a magic touch that could heal not just my physical pain, but also the emotional burdens I had been carrying for far too long. Calix's skilled fingers found their way to all the right spots, relieving tension i didn't even know existed. As he massaged the stress away from my body, a wave of gratitude washed over me. Not only was he relieving my physical pain, but he was also reminding me that there were still kind souls in the world who genuinely cared..I honestly wished i could repay him..

Just like he could hear my thoughts, he suddenly leaned forward, our eyes locked. His face drew closer to mine...and just like that, the gate of hell was opened......

As our lips met, a surge of yearning pulsed through my body. The kiss was soft and gentle at first, but soon grew more passionate and intense. It was as if time had stopped and there was only the two of us in that moment. The warmth of his embrace enveloped me, melting away any lingering doubts or fears I had. This connection felt so right, so real..

The kiss lasted for what felt like an eternity.--An intoxicating blend of passion and tenderness intertwined. ****As we finally pulled apart, breathless and flushed with desire, out eyes locked in silent understanding. - Something shifted between us. A deepening connection that went beyond words of explanation.

The weight of our unspoken feelings hung heavily in the air as we gazed at each other with newfound vulnerability. It felt like standing on the edge of a precipice, unsure if we should take that leap into the unknown or retreat back nto familiar territory.

Our kiss held an unspoken promise; a promise of exploration and vulnerability. It was as if we were diving into uncharted waters together, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. I knew deep down that this was only the beginning of something extraordinary......But one thing was certain - this moment would forever change the course of our lives...

"You smell of cigarettes". I say cleaning the edges of my mouth.

"Should we continue after I brush my teeth?"Calix replied with a grin.

"What?....I gave a bewildered look..
