Chapter 2

I found myself standing next to the dining table, observing the food being presented to me. Due to my allergy to hotdogs, which happened to be the primary sausage included in the dish, I felt a sense of unease. "Please, take a seat; I know you are hungry,” Lycan Kai murmured, gesturing toward the meal with his head.

I was unable to articulate my thoughts to him, nor was I inclined to consider someone like him. "I am not interested," I replied with a scoff, my gaze shifting to the side, my voice barely audible. Suddenly, I felt a hand encircle my waist, causing my breath to catch as I attempted to identify the person. "Lila, Lila, my clever and chaotic darling, just sit down and eat," he whispered, his breath brushing against my ear, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Please take a seat," he insisted. I remained composed, standing tall, and replied, "I will not sit because I choose not to." My fingers trembled against my thighs as he moved closer, seeking direct eye contact. His body was mere inches from mine. He brushed a strand of hair aside while his brother continued to eat calmly.

As he leaned in, his gaze swept over my cheeks; I felt my complexion drain of color, yet I held my ground. Suddenly, he forcefully pulled me and thrust me into a chair positioned nearer to his brother, causing me to sink deeply into the ornate golden chair adorned with a wolf design.

I seized the fork with determination and plunged it into the hotdogs, only to be met with a sudden sneeze that caused my eyes to redden from the steam. "Goodness," I murmured to myself, as my body prepared to react to the allergens. "Eat up, Lila; it's quite good," Kyle commented, smiling at me, confident in the culinary skills of their cook.

“Could you both cease your disruptive behavior? I find myself unable to eat, not out of desire, but due to the circumstances. Why pretend to be kind?” I exclaimed, my eyes brimming with tears. My lips parted to articulate my thoughts, but the stern gaze from Kai silenced me.

He gradually pulled his chair back, then moved to my side. I closed my eyes and lifted my head, bracing for what I anticipated. As expected, he forcefully yanked my hair, causing my neck to crack and my collarbone to emit a loud sound. "Please, you are hurting me," I pleaded, my voice trembling. "Please allow me to eat."

“You had your opportunity but squandered it.” Before I could react, he forcefully pressed my face into the food, rubbing it against the plate. "Eat, you fool!" he shouted, his voice booming and sending a chill down my spine.

Ahh! Ahh! I growled trying to lift my face. Ah! He continued to rub my face to eat. I was sniffing the smell of the hotdog, and it was slowly drowning my gaze; my sight was firm when he raised my gaze, and my face was already painted with the meal.

"You look stunning, Princess," Kyle remarked with a mocking giggle. He continued, "Wait, look at her face; she’s highlighting her pores. No, that’s not good, Kai." He quickly stood up as I reluctantly shook my head in disapproval. The overwhelming anger consumed me, compelling me to push every single piece of food to the ground. My hands moved rapidly across the table, clearing everything away.

"I’m allergic to hotdogs," I whispered, tears streaming down my face as I scattered the food. My vision began to blur gradually, and the words around me faded like distant waves.

I find myself on the verge of losing consciousness. The expressions of fear displayed on their faces were unexpected, and a slight smirk appeared at the corner of my lips before I fell to the ground.

“She will recover, lycan Kai; it appears she is merely experiencing an allergic reaction, possibly due to something incompatible in her food.”

I discerned a multitude of voices, yet the distinct sound of the Lycan's voice kept me confined to my bed. I stubbornly feigned deep slumber while listening to his nonsensical chatter; his foolishness is what has brought me to this state.

“Please ensure that Lila gets better,” he instructed, and at that moment, I heard the gentle closing of the door. I quickly rose, scanning my surroundings.

“Good morning, ma'am,” greeted a woman clad in a blue and white gown, offering me a smile as she prepared medication for an injection, presumably intended for me. “Good morning to you as well, miss. I am fine; those medications are unnecessary at this time,” I replied hoarsely while seated on a lofty queen-sized bed, my feet just shy of reaching the floor due to the bed's height.

She chuckled, walking closer to me with the injectors and a small bottle of substances; I watched as the lady tried to bring it closer to my arm; my face turned expressionless, and my nose flared. Don't you dare come close to me with such substance; I said I am fine, don't you get it, I blurted out, my fist clenched, ready to take in anything that came with her unfortunate prescription to me.

“I apologize, but I cannot allow you to make decisions, Miss.” Before she could finish her sentence, the door slowly opened, exposing the familiar face of Lycan Kyle. He smiled, yet I maintained a serious expression.

The lady attempted to greet him, but he interrupted her. "Leave, I'll handle it from here." She nodded and began to walk away, but he stopped her.

"Hand over the injection to me; she might require specialized treatment," he stated, causing my eyes to widen in disbelief at his words. Not again!

I firmly insisted, "No, I am perfectly fine; she should administer the injection to me instead." However, he simply shook his head and rolled up his sleeves.

"No, I will take on the role of your doctor," he declared. "This is not a matter to be taken lightly.”
