CHAPTER 6.1

They stood outside the mansion, hugging one another with tears in Rachel's eyes, she was going to miss her brother.

He was like her best friend, they've always been close even when he left the house to handle business and moved away from Oklahoma.

Her bond with him didn't falter but just because her parents wanted to raise her till she was very old enough, they didn't allow her to go live with Elijah.

She loved her brother so much, the age gap between them is quite much with Francesca, their parents had split when they had Elijah but they decided to come back together to raise Elijah and not separately, five years after Francesca was born, although Elijah was two years of age.

Family dramas, thank God for her mum explaining it all to her.

Now, she watches as her brother got into the car with his fianc??e.

Adrianna, she is a great blessing in his life and she was glad life brought them together. The car was out of sight now.

She quickly went to her room and closed the door behind her not forgetting to turn on the small signboard she put at her door "Do not come in", she sat on her bed and turned on her laptop, video calling her boyfriend and her best friend in school.

Her mother came to knock on the door, ignoring the sign on the door, as soon as she'd knocked, Rachel knew that was her mother she closed her laptop and went to open the door. Sitting at the edge of the bed.

"Rachel I know you're going to miss your brother and that's why I'm going to tell you this" Her mother smirked.

"You will be resuming back to the university in few days, your next holiday, you can go to your brother's house and stay with him" Rachel couldn't believe what she just heard.

"Mum, do you mean I can go stay with Elijah?"

'Yes, I already told your father but he's too strong-headed considering you are the youngest child, but not to worry, we will do just fine without our children, there are the maids and our friends too".

She embraced her mother in a tight hug and squeezing her eyes shut to allow her not to cry, she blinked her eyes a few times, tears threatening to spill.

"Oh my sweetest child, do not cry"

Rachel chuckled "I love you mom" she sniffles.

"I love you too" with that being said she stood up and left her daughter's room.

"Yaaaayy" she squealed with happiness, once her brother has landed, he would definitely call and she will tell him what her mother had told her but then "what if he knew about it?" She voiced her thoughts aloud.

Her family can never be predicted most especially, Francesca. "God!" That's the black sheep of the house, she never went to college, she had gotten pregnant after high school and gotten married. two years later she'd become a divorc??e.
