"I beg your pardon?" I asked in disbelief. Maybe I just heard it wrong because I was shouting earlier. “Second concubine???”

"Yes, the Lady who is the daughter of one of our officers. She's a good lady and has a good reputation. So I took her in my harem.” He answered as if there was nothing.

I thought it was all just a joke and he would explain. Is this over? He even added another concubine?! Then he started a harem?!
