8 - Escape

The chopper landed on a top of the building and he seemed to faint when they came down. Two women were greeted by Theon and they were dressed in white but the man rejected them, he was the one who took them. He hesitated at first but when he nodded, he followed.

In a room he was taken and laid on a bed but he shook, he preferred to sit. They cleaned and treated his wound and then bandaged him. He felt embarrassed when he looked at his own reflection in the large mirror there. The mess of her hair and the filthiness of her look. The undersides of the eyes turn black and the skin has insect bites. He secretly arranged himself but the two would not let him, they took care of him and gave him a change of clothes.

"Bye wife, I'll be home soon," he turned off the call and dismissed the two women as he sat on the sofa there. "Where are you after this?" it looked at him. Awaiting an answer.

His eyes widened and he looked at the fingers. He rubbed them and didn’t know what to answer.

“Much better if you stay for a while—”

"No!" He stood up suddenly. “I m-mean, you were right to help me. I have to leave to— ”

“Are you sure? Look, Jacky, running away from your family isn’t that easy. For the meantime, stay until you recover and then you can go. I won’t stop you. ”

Theon has a point and besides, he has no money. He had it all in his bag and as embarrassing as it was to say, he needed its help.

"Jacky."

He smiled and nodded at his decision. Theon took him to a condominium but he was surprised when a penthouse opened up to him. Very beautiful inside! Proper blend of dark and light color. “You are here temporarily in the penthouse. I've only come home from time to time since I got married. Stay here like you own this place. ” It gave him the key.

He smiled and just waved in the air.

He was overwhelmed by the beauty of the penthouse especially when he was on the big terrace and watching the beautiful city lights that night. Theon also sent some people to bring groceries and equipment for his body, as if he had been living in his penthouse for a whole year.

He was used to being alone so he did not feel sad in that big house. He tired himself of watching the whole place which he had never done before. The air was cold and he barely hugged himself. It was nice to live like this, peacefully, when he had no escape from fear but he knew all that was only temporary.

That night he fell asleep immediately. It’s just funny to think because he dreamed of the man that they were on the island and at the same time paddling in the water. She also woke up at noon because she had too much sleep or in other words, she enjoyed the dream of being with the man too much.

She spends all day soaking herself in cooking and cleaning. It looks like the house has been cleaned for a long time because of the little dust that was there. It's fun to live with freedom and this is what he wants to achieve.

And that night, he went to the jacuzzi on the terrace. The terrace was large and from there, he could clearly see the twinkling stars in the sky. The beautiful and different colors of light on the terrace and the plants that her pet seems to need because they are drying up, the tall buildings in front of her and the beautiful lights of these. Everyone! Everything was beautiful!

He was unable to move his foot in extreme embarrassment so all he could do was sit up and cover the body. Embarrassing!

Another morning, first thing Jackylyn did was water the plants and flowers on the terrace and remove the dry leaves of them. He also took a breath of fresh air and pulled back all the curtains.

The morning is beautiful! He also forgot about the embarrassment that happened yesterday, maybe it's not a big deal with the man. It's just discouraging.

He decided to go down to the adjacent condominium, it had a rooftop garden and this was the first thing he noticed so beautiful every time he looked down.

Jackylyn still couldn't figure out what had happened. He was upset to think that they had met his grandfather's staff. What if it caught him? What if Zerus tells old Don that he's here? She trembled with fear and was restless in the room.

He would walk around and sit down while thinking about what to do. The first thing that came to his mind was to run away now before it caught up with him but he had no money to use. What will he do now? The money in his bag came from his allowance which he was saving for his escape.
