I woke up to the unfamiliar surrounding that only filled me with dread. My eyes were heavy, my stomach was rumbling, my body was aching. I sat up on creaky bed and stared at the cabin again. The lack of windows only made me want to go crazy.
It was funny how one day I was staring out my window at the beautiful surrounding and now I was trapped. It was really a shocking turn of events.
I looked at the mat where he slept but he was gone. Then I thought, i could escape now. I could go out and scream for help until someone heard me and saved me.
I slowly stood up, pulling my long gown up so I could walk properly and also get ready to run. I looked around once more and when I saw no sign of him, I rushed towards the door but I stopped in my tracks as he walked in and took in my form. He then raised a questionable brow.
"Going somewhere princess?" he walked past me. That was when I noticed the bag in his hand, it looked like a grocery shopping bag. That only meant one thing, I might not be that far from the city. If I ran now, I would be able to get out.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you" he said as if reading my mind. He dropped the bag on the counter then faced me. "I got us breakfast so go shower because you look and smell terrible" he said in the most mean way and for some reason, I was speechless.
I was never speechless. I always had something to say, Infact I made sure I was the one to speak and leave you speechless.
"Where?" I asked in a voice way too calm.
"Over there princess" he pointed his finger to the direction. He had this small Smile playing on his lips, I wanted to slap it away.
I headed in the direction he pointed and saw another door. I stared at the door for a few seconds, dreading what I would see behind it.
When I pushed opened the door, I scrunched my nose in disgust. It was extremely tiny. The toilet was the only thing sitting there, then there was a shower above.
"You expect me to have my bath in there?" I yelled. This was becoming a real nightmare. He glanced my way just once before going back to what he was doing, like I didn't matter.
"I am a princess, I don't deserve this"
He sighed, "I'm sorry your majesty" he did a fake bow, totally mocking me. "But this is all I have to offer you" he said
"Then take me back home" I yelled.
"Can't do that"
I pressed my hands to my temple, I wanted to scream.
"So you expect me to bathe there huh?" I asked
"Yes"
"So what about soap, shampoo, bath robes or towel, hell what am I going to wear?"
He hummed, "I would fix that, for now.. " he pulled out something from a bag on the floor and handed it to me. I looked down at it like it was trash.
"What is that"
"My shirt" my lips parted in disbelief.
"You must be crazy if you think I will wear that thing" I scoffed. He was crazy.
"Suit yourself princess, if you wanna be naked, I don't mind" he smirked, throwing the cloth on the bed. Then he turned around and ignored me.
"Want me to come bathe you princess?" He said when he noticed I was still standing there. I gritted my teeth. My insides were boiling. He was more than infuriating.
After Some minutes of thinking deeply, I gave in. I knew I couldn't fight this. I couldn't stay like this. So I walked to the bed and grabbed the shirt, I entered the bathroom and slammed the door hard. I was surprised the cabin didn't collapse to the ground.
Tears starting rolling down my cheeks and i couldn't stop them. My life had just become a nightmare and I couldn't do anything to change it. How was I supposed to survive this. I was born into wealth, I got everything I ever wanted. I make a request and it will be granted, I commanded anything and it would be done. I had several maids, maids I didn't even know their names but they served me every moment.
I never did anything on my own, I never touched anything that looked like work. I didn't even go to the kitchen for any reason, definitely not to cook. The only thing I did myself was have my bath and that was all I knew how to do, apart from being a princess all day.
How was I going to survive in this crap hole.
I wiped my tears and took off my gown. I turned on the shower and started rubbing the soap all over my body, I had only felt like trash ever since I woke up. If only I would wash away the reality I was in. I let the water flow down from my hair, to my face and my body.
When I was done, I wiped myself dry with the white towel hanging on the wall, even though I was cringing all the while. I then put on the shirt that stopped just mid thigh. It was a very dull coloured green shirt. I had never worn anything other than pink, and that fact made me feel a strong sense of nostalgia.
I came out of the bathroom and again, he was no nowhere in sight. I decided to make a run for it. I opened the front door and bolted out, running through the deserted woods. I didn't hear him call or run after me and that made me feel relieved.
Just when I thought I was going to get somewhere, I felt a hand grab my waist, stopping me. I spun around quickly, trying to struggle out of his hold but we both ended up on the ground. I pushed him off me and tried to get up but he pulled my leg and I fell back to the ground. We both struggled on the rough grass until he pinned my hands on the ground, his body weight was on me, holding me down. we both stared at eachother, breathing hard.
"Damn! For a princess, you are really strong" he commended, "did they teach you that in princess school?"
"Oh you would be surprised" immediately the words left my mouth, I lifted my knee and kicked him in between his legs. He cursed and rolled off me, groaning in pain. I used that opportunity to get up and continue my run.
I hadn't even gotten far when he caught me again, this time, he grabbed me, picked me up and threw me over his shoulders. I shrieked and started pounding my hands on his back.
"Let go of me you bastard" I ordered but he ignored me, carrying me, like I was nothing. I kicked, punched, screamed but nothing phased him.
When we finally got back to the cabin, the dumped me on the bed and let out an exasperated breath. I stayed calm for only a few seconds before I tried to get up again. He was fast this time, so fast, he pressed me down and pinned my hands above my head on the bed.
"Goddammit princess! Don't make me tie you up" he warned. I then relaxed, not because I was scared of his threat but because I felt exhausted. My breathing was heavy from all the struggle.
Even after I had stopped struggling, he didn't get off me, he remained on top of me, staring straight into my eyes. At that moment, it felt like the first time he collided into me. When I thought he was charming.
His eyes were cold but something about them made me unable to take my eyes off him. His face was covered lightly with beards, his black hair fell a little over his forehead almost covering his eyes and his lips were...
No Fiona.
He wasn't charming, not anymore.
He was a kidnapper, he kidnapped me. I told myself.
Suddenly he let go of my hands and got off me. He walked over to the counter and carried a tray, dropping it in front of me.
"Eat up" he commanded. I slowly sat up, first of all, annoyed that he had the guts to order me or tell me what to do. When I saw what was in the tray, I scrunched my nose again.
"You want me to eat this trash?" I asked in shock. He stood there and stared at me incredulosly.
Without thinking, I flipped the tray and it turned upside down, falling to the floor, "I'm not hungry" I crossed my hands over my chest, unphased even though I somehow knew I might have just thrown my only means of survival for the day.
"You will be punished for that" he simply said after looking at the mess on the floor. I rolled my eyes at him. The next minute, he walked away, carried the bag on the floor and started heading for the door.
"Where do you think you going?" I asked
"Away from you" he simply said and walked out the door, after which I heard the sound of it locking.
Alarmed, I got up and rushed to the door, trying to open it but it won't open.
"Hey, open this door now" I shouted but no response.
"You can't leave me in here" I shouted again, followed by my fists banging on the door. No answer.
He was gone. He left me, all by myself.
The reality was more scarier than I imagined
