If Luke was my childhood sweetheart, then Colin could certainly be considered my nemesis from childhood. His repeated tattling to my parents resulted in my frequent punishment by my father. I deeply suspected that he enjoyed making things difficult for me. Or maybe, he just purely disliked women. After all, even at twenty-eight, he never indulged in romantic or flippant escapades. I remember he hurriedly went abroad on the day of my engagement. So, he was back from abroad now. After a moment of stunned hesitation, I staggered towards him. Alcohol clouded my judgment, making my steps unsteady. Just as I was about to lose my balance, a pair of warm hands suddenly appeared around my waist. Then, I found myself falling into his embrace.
