CHAPTER 5

Lori's POV

"Kiel."

He frowned and looked at me from head to toe. "Excuse me." He said he passed me.

He doesn't seem to remember me. How do you remember that, Lori? Eh, it looks like you didn't even meet for a minute.

"Lori." Carol called me. I nodded and went to him.

"Hi." I greeted Kian when I left the restaurant.

"Lo." He tongued his lollipop at the same time.

"Where did that come from? I've never seen a lollipop like that."

"To a man."

"Who?"

"Oh, I know.I can interfere with that man."

"You're really worthless to talk to."

"You're the one to talk to!" He also returned immediately.

"How was school?" We walked away from the restaurant.

"Ugly."

"Why?"

"My classmates are ugly."

"Don't be like that. doesn't mean you're handsome-"

"I'm handsome." He smiled at the same time. "And I already have a girlfriend, ma." I stopped and stared at him.

"What kind of girlfriend are you?! You're so young! You're only five years old! Where did you learn to be a girlfriend?!"

"To Yoyo. he said you are his girlfriend."

Yoyo is our neighbor. Someone has liked me since high school. I don't like him. He is trying too hard.

"I'm not his girlfriend, okay? Do you believe what that guy is saying?"

"You don't like him? He's fine, huh?"

"Why do you want him?" I will ask.

"Yes."

"Ede, get married."

"Is it like that? When you want? Marriage right away?"

"Not at all."

"Mom."

"Oh?"

"Sometimes you're beautiful in my eyes, but to me, nothing comes out of your mouth."

"You are rude!" I'm ready to hit him. he immediately ran. That's stupid, ah.

Leo's POV

"Before he ordered us to go to America, now that we are there, he returned to the Philippines without saying goodbye. What is that old man thinking?" Kyle said annoyed while sitting on the other sofa.

I sat on the sofa to relax. It's been 6 years. I missed this place. We were there in America because we were taking care of a business that Kyle and Kiel and I were growing but now we are having problems growing it. Because we lost.

Just before we returned home from the Philippines. because grandpa is here and grandpa needs us. He called us for some reasons that we don't know.

"Kiel is here, right?" I asked Kyle. I heard that Kiel was sent here first to go back to see grandpa.

"I don't know. Maybe, he's meeting his fiancee."

"Fiancee? I've never heard of that. I thought, he's here because of grandfather."

"Yeah, he's getting married. I'm so fucking happy about it. I might cry." He said sarcastically.

I frowned. "What happened?"

"You know, stuff. I wish it was me but I don't want to. I don't want to be tied yet! my parents were furious about it, so, Kiel stepped up and said he's going to do it instead."

"And? You felt guilty about it?"

"No. Of course not." He smiled at the same time. "He wants it, so, he'll get it. I'm just being sarcastic because that's my brother! My twin! If he's going to get married! what will happen to me? You might see me on the road begging. I can't live without him! I might just die!"

"Wow. You have a serious brother complex, Kyle. Maybe next time you'll want to marry your brother."

"Yeah. I'm thinking of that." I just laughed at what he said. that's exactly how Kyle and Kiel are. They can't leave each other's sides.

"Kiel!" Kyle immediately ran to Kiel. He was about to hug her when Kiel stopped him. "You don't miss me?! I missed you, brother! Can I get a hug?!"

"No. Of course not." Cold as ice. as expected of Kiel. Kiel looked at me and just nodded.

We are in the hospital now and we are going to visit grandpa. Actually, grandfather called us for a reason I don't know.

"Kiel..." Kyle frowned because he didn't receive a hug.

"Brother complex." we looked at the speaker. It was Stephanie. Our cousin. I don't like her.

"Steff, why are you here?" Kyle asked, grinning now.

"Don't call me that. My name is Steffanie not Steff." He just rolled his eyes at us while flipping his hair and walked past us.

"What a bitch." Kyle whispered. I just shook my head. He still hasn't changed, he's still very flattered.

"So, you're here too?" I gasped for air. Steff's mother. If Steff is sloppy, this one is damned.

I smiled plastically. "Hi! Aunt Rey. What's up? You're looking good today."

he just raised an eyebrow at me and walked past me.

"She hates you." Kyle whispered to me.

"I know." Aunt Rey is my father's little sister. She hates me for some reason.

"Kie, Ky. What's up?" A man came to Kiel and Kyle. It was Benjie. He's one of my cousins, too. he's father is my father's big brother. He's the second son of Benjamin Verzosa, my father's brother.

"Where's Barny?" I asked Benjie. Barniel Verzosa his older brother.

"Oh, Leo you're here too. Uhm... don't call him Barny... he doesn't like it." He laughed at the same time. "Uhm... he's there, with Tara." He pointed to the corner of the hospital and Barny was there with Tara. Tara is their little sister.

"Where's Uncle Benjamin?" Kiel asked Benjie.

"He's coming with my mom."

the door of grandpa's private room opened and the nurse told us to all enter as grandpa ordered. We entered. And there was grandfather sitting on his bed.

He looked strict as always.

"Where's Benjamin, Kael and Leon?" Grandpa asked. Leon is my father. kael is Kiel's and Kyle's father.

"Uhm... H-He's coming." Barny replied.

"Really?!" Everyone in the room gasped. Everyone fears grandfather, everyone respects him and especially no one should refuse him.

"Yes."

"What about your father, Leo?"

"Uhm..." I don't actually know. they never said to me that they will come. "Uh-"

"Where is he?!"

"I'm here." The door opened and mom and dad entered with uncle Benjamin, aunt Clara, uncle Kael and aunt Kylie.

Dad immediately went to grandfather's side and stood there. Uncle Benjamin stopped and looked at us.

"Are you there?! Come here!"

We slowly exited the CR. Except for Steff and her mother because they were by grandfather's side a while ago. I ran to the back of mom and dad. Others did the same.

"So, what's up, dad?" asked uncle Kael.

"I will-"

"He'll kill us!" Kyle suddenly shouted and was about to run when Kiel stopped him.

Grandpa gave him a bad look. The blood drained from Kyle's face and he passed out.

"Kyle!"

I swallowed. grandpa's venom is severe. It kills. He suddenly looked at me so I hid behind dad.

"I called you here to tell you that I'm going to die."

"Really?" We were surprised when Kyle suddenly spoke and smiled looking at grandpa.

"I'm dying!" Grandpa promised.

"Dad, I'm-"

"Don't say sorry, Rey. I know you're happy about it." Aunt Rey raised her eyebrows and kept quiet.

"All my property, wealth, money, assets, company, house, land, everything! I will give it to my one grandson only."

Okay, I'm sure it's not me. I'm not his favorite. we are not that close, you know.

"Dad! Is that so? You have children." Uncle Benjamin promised.

"I have given for my children, Benjamin. I hope you remember?" Really strict.

"Yes. I remember." Uncle Benjamin retreated.

"Who are you going to give it to, Dad?" Dad asked.

"Can we just share it?" Kiel asked.

"This is urgent. I will give everything to my grandson that my great-grandson will give me." Everyone was quiet. "Whoever can give me a great-grandson first, all the money, house, land, everything will go to him. I think that's fair enough, right?"

We are already outside grandfather's room. Dad and his siblings were talking about how crazy grandpa was. They are right. He is crazy.

"Kiel has the advantage here! That couple will get married next month!" Steff said. We here also have our own conversation. "Kiel, did you know this was going to happen?"

"No. Of course not."

"We need the money for our business, Leo." Kyle promised.

We are different from other families because the company will not be given to us if we are not able to grow the business. So, we are already 29 and we still stuck to our business.

"I'll get the money." Barny promised. Everyone looked at him. "I will never be stuck in this life again."

"If I get the money. I will definitely buy a lot of cars." Benji added.

"If I get the money I will never work again. I'll just buy lots of bags, dresses and shoes." Steff said, waking up and looking like she's planning something.

"I will travel." Tara said next to me. He smiled at me so I smiled back.

"I'll get that for our business." Kyle promised.

Is there anyone who doesn't want to get the money?

I want to get the money too. it will be easier for us to grow the business with the money we get.

"So, what will you do? How can you give grandpa a grandchild?" asked Kiel.

"I will adopt."

"Get someone who will be the mother of my child."

"What if grandpa is dead before you can do that?"

"You're so negative." Steff promised Kiel.

"When grandfather said that he would give everything to only one grandson who could give him a great-grandson. That's it, we already lose."

"What do you mean by that, Kiel?" Kyle asked.

"The battle didn't even start yet but Leo already won the war."

They all looked at me.
