“What’s that bird?”
In the painting, a bird was standing on the branch of an almond tree at the foot of a mountain.
Su Wenbin couldn’t help asking.
He thought this painting was not valuable at all.
The vendor explained patiently, “Don’t focus on the bird. Look at the name of the painter.”
Su Wenbin looked at the name on the painting and frowned, “*Tang Bohu...”
“Who is he? I’ve never heard of this name!”
“Ha!” The vendor couldn’t help laughing.
People around also burst into laughter.
It turned out that this guy was a fool.
“Sorry, sir. You can’t buy it.” The vendor said this and took the painting back.
He then said to Qin Tian, “Do you also want to have a look?”
Qin Tian nodded. He took the painting and checked it.
Su Wenbin sneered, “You are just a deliveryman. Do you know anything about paintings?”
“Do you know who the painter is?”
Qin Tian snorted, “Of course, I know. It must be Tang Bohu.”
“It’s Tang Bohu’s painting. Sir, how much is it?”
“You are really a master!” The vendor was very happy.
He thought for a while and then said, “One million yuan.”
Qin Tian shook his head, “One hundred thousand yuan.”
“It’s not enough!” The vendor thought it was a good price, but he wanted more.
Before Qin Tian spoke, Su Wenbin interrupted, “I will pay twenty hundred thousand yuan!”
The vendor looked at Qin Tian and hoped he could offer more.
Su Wenbin laughed, “Don’t look at him. He’s a poor guy.”
“He was the son-in-law of the Su family five years ago, but now, he is nothing!”
“Do you dare to bid for it?”
“You even don’t have one hundred thousand yuan!”
“Hurry. Two hundred thousand yuan! Give me the painting!”
In the vendor’s expectant eyes, Qin Tian shook his head and said, “Give it to him.”
Su Wenbin was overjoyed. He hurriedly paid the money in case the vendor regretted it.
It was also a high price for him, but he was willing to pay, as long as it could make Su Beishan happy. If he could get a higher position in the family, he would earn more.
“Qin Tian, you said you would make us pay.”
“I’ll wait for you at the banquet.”
Su Wenbin took the painting and was going to leave.
The vendor made a deal and was also ready to go.
Just at this moment, they heard an angry roar from a distance.
“Son of a bitch! I finally find you!”
“You deceived me and even tried to deceive others!”
“Take your damn painting and give me the money back!”
A strong man rushed over angrily and threw a painting on the vendor’s face.
The vendor wanted to run but was caught by the man.
He smiled awkwardly, “Yo, it’s you, Mr. Zhao. What’s wrong?”
Mr. Zhao said angrily, “You liar! You fooled me to pay five hundred thousand yuan for a fake painting!”
“Give me the money back!”
The vendor snorted, “The antique business needs sharp eyes. You can’t regret it once you pay!”
“Don’t you know this rule?”
Su Wenbin laughed, “He’s right. Mr. Zhao, you don’t have sharp eyes, so you can’t blame the seller.”
“Real paintings are not everywhere. Not everyone is lucky enough to meet them.”
He thought he was just the lucky one.
Mr. Zhao saw the panting in his hands. He sneered, “Did he tell you that this is from his ancestor?”
Su Wenbin was stunned. He nodded, “Yes.”
Mr. Zhao said, “Did he also say that he will not sell it to anyone who doesn’t know its value?”
Su Wenbin’s face changed. He said, “Yes.”
Mr. Zhao snorted, “You are also fooled by him. Why are you still speaking for him?”
Su Wenbin’s face turned sullen. He grabbed the vendor’s collar and asked, “Tell me if it is a real painting!”
The vendor insisted that it was real.
Su Wenbin called an antique master and asked about this. The master didn’t tell him if it was real. He just said that it was really hard to buy real paintings.
Some people pretended to be honest, but actually, they were as smart as monkeys.
They seldom had real paintings.
Su Wenbin was sure that he had been fooled. He asked the vendor to give back his money.
The vendor sneered, “You don’t have sharp eyes. Don’t blame me.”
“Not everyone is lucky enough to meet the real paintings.”
Su Wenbin was speechless. It was just his word.
He couldn’t go back to his words.
Other vendors surrounded him. Obviously, they were partners.
But he had spent two hundred thousand yuan!
He paid for it with his credit card. He couldn’t even pay it back the next month.
Su Wenbin roared, “I’m from the Su family!”
“Don’t you know how powerful the Su family is in Stillwater?”
“Give me half of it, and I will forget this!”
Those vendors also didn’t dare to offend the Su family.
They had to give Su Wenbin ten hundred thousand yuan back.
Su Wenbin lost so much money. He put his anger on Qin Tian.
He shouted at Qin Tian, “Keep quiet if you don’t know the paintings!”
“Have you seen Tang Bohu’s real painting?”
“Fool!”
He wouldn’t have been so impulsive if Qin Tian hadn’t said it was Tang Bohu’s painting.
Now he suspected that Qin Tian was also the vendor’s partner who worked together to set him up!
Qin Tian didn’t care about his words.
He didn’t want to pay attention to a barking dog.
Besides, he said he would make the Su family pay.
“He doesn’t want this. How about selling it to me?” Qin Tian said to the vendor.
“Do you still want it?” The vendor was surprised.
Qin Tian nodded, “Five thousand yuan.”
The vendor smiled, “I’ve never seen such a persistent man. Just take it. I won’t take your money.”
He threw the painting to Qin Tian and then left with his partners.
He couldn’t sell paintings here, so he had to find a new place.
Su Wenbin was furious. He asked Qin Tian, “Are you really an idiot?”
“It’s a useless fake! Why do you still take it?”
Qin Tian said, “I need a gift. After all, it’s my first time attending the family banquet.”
“You said Su Beishan likes painting. I’ll give him this as a gift.”
“What did you say?” Su Wenbin was stunned. Then he laughed, “You must be crazy!”
“You want to fool my grandpa with a fake? What an idiot!”
