Chapter 8 The Wedding

Here at Crimson Resort, Mactan Cebu, another private property of the Moore family, is the wedding venue.

Is it a wedding or a choke? My God, I can't imagine it's going to happen right away. If only I could run away, that would be the last thing to do in my mind.

Father Cristof is a priest from the UK. They especially invited him to do our wedding ceremony, and it will begin shortly. There's not enough time for us to get married in the UK because of restrictions regarding covid protocols, so our parents decided to do it here in the Philippines.

Only immediate family is our guest and no one else. It will be a simple, private wedding. I didn't know how they organized it all within a short period. No wonder they have lots of money to make things possible, even marriage here in the country.

Ally is wearing Mermaid Style Wedding Dress with Pleat Cap Sleeve Illusion Back Gown. It fits her because she's a little bit tall. Match the tousled look of her braid hair. The messy waves of her hair provided her more. She looks more intimidating and daring. Wearing Stiletto, the white one, she became even more gorgeous. With a few jewels on her.

I'm wearing this New Illusion White Backless Lace Mermaid with Cap Sleeve. It's like a couple of wedding dresses. My long hair with fishtail twist because it's perfectly undone, so I don't have to worry about my hair frizzing or pieces coming loose. The messier it gets, the better it will look. I'm just wearing trappy high-heel sandals color white with my earings, nothing more.

Father Point of View

Welcome family and friends. We are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the marriage of Ally Moore and Hannah Spaughton.

This is not the beginning of a new relationship but an acknowledgment of the next chapter in their lives together.

Today, they will affirm this bond formally and publicly. Ally and Hannah will mark their transition as a couple not only by celebrating the love between themselves but also by celebrating the love between all of us—including the love of their parents, siblings, extended family, and best friends. Without that love, today would be far less joyous.

Do you Ally take Hannah to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and not so good times, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?

"I do." Ally answered as she looked at me; she seemed happy.

Do you Hannah take Ally to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and not so good times, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?

I couldn't answer right away, I shivered, but I just thought it was for my family.

"I do," I answer in a soft voice as my tears fall. They must think it was tears of joy.

RING EXCHANGE

Father Point of View

A ring is an unbroken circle with ends that have been joined together, and it represents your union. It is a symbol of infinity and your infinite love. When you look at these rings on your hands, be reminded of this moment, your commitment, and the love you now feel for each other.

Ally, place the ring on Hannah's finger and repeat after me:

"Hannah, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love with the pledge: to love you today, tomorrow, always, and forever." Ally's pledge.

And now. Hannah, place the ring on Ally's finger and repeat after me:

"Ally, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love with the pledge: to love you today, tomorrow, always, and forever." My vows.

Before these witnesses, you have pledged to be joined in marriage. You have now sealed this pledge with your wedding rings. By the authority vested in me by the great State of United Kingdom, I now pronounce you married!

Hannah Point of View

Two hours have passed by, and we will be sharing in the dining area. Our parents are busy talking about things that I don't know. I'm out of my mind. I can't still imagine I'm married.

I needed to go, walk and breathe some fresh air because the ambiance was too suffocating.

I felt like I was going to explode, so I decided to walk beside the shore. I took off my sandals and walked away in a gown. I have a distant view of emptiness.

I thought of Billy again. She doesn't know yet that I got married. The chance for us was gone.

What will be her reaction when she finds out? I can't afford to lose her.

"Hey, Hannah, they're leaving. They need us there now! What are you doing? Come on, that's enough of drama. " She shouted.

"Ally, give me a minute. It's not easy for me as it is to you." I replied to her, but I don't think she heard, so I just followed.

What else I can do. I'm powerless.

"Ally, please be patient with our princess. She's a bit impulsive, but she's sweet and caring. Bratenela because the only child, but I know you will get along, and by the way, she loves food, Iha." They all laugh while listening to mom.

It's like a winning speech in the election. Most of them are happy with the merging of the two companies. They didn't even know it both with Mr. Moore.

"Of course, Ma, I'll take care of your Unica Hija. Don't worry, and her being bratenela won't work for me. I'm very expert in cooking, and she may forget her name." Ally laughed mild and so on with them.

I approached mom a little and whispered a word that may help us to finish the topic.

"Mom, enough of that. We're an adult. We can manage ourselves. Can you guys go now? I want to rest." I said sadly.

Mom kissed me on the cheek and hugged me tightly. She knows I'm not okay.

"Hannah, my dear, I was so proud of you. I know it's against your will, yet you did it for your Dad. He's getting better now, Iha. He's resting in the house with his nurse. He wants to come, but the doctor said it's still dangerous for him to travel. Anyway, He can watch all your wedding videos anytime." She held me once again.

"I'm going, my dear. If you need someone to talk to, don't hesitate to call me. We can watch movies together or invent a new recipe. You love that. You must spend time with us."

I know what my mom wants to convey. She just wanted to make me feel better. I have already confessed to her that I love someone else.

We have three days to stay here. That's what our parents want. They considered it a honeymoon, but it's more of a disaster for me because I haven't talked to or seen Billy yet.

What can a woman's reaction be? Is she will be happy? Or curse me? What the hell. It's driving me crazy.

"You are here. I've been looking for you. Let me guess! Its Billy? Hannah, can you at least for once forget about her and try to enjoy it. The place was nice and peaceful." She pointed the view.

"It's easy to say coz you haven't fallen in love yet," as I emphasize and smirk to her.

"What makes you so sure about it, Hannah?" She smirked me back and walked out.

"Go ahead, tell me, have you fallen in love?" I asked as I followed her.

"Why is that the only basis? You know nothing of me, Hannah. You know what, never mind, I will not interfere with you anymore." She left for good.
