"Get off me." The guy yelled and pushed her off causing her to fall and hurt her hand. The hand started bleeding and she stared at it.
"Oh my God, am sorry I didn't mean to hurt you." The guy said and rushed to her but she smiled.
"Santa is nice." She giggled.
"Are you crazy? Am not Santa." The guy yelled worriedly knowing he just injured someone he didn't know.
"Crazy. Am Lydia."
"Okay, Lydia we need to find a solution to your bleeding hand so I will appreciate it if you stop acting crazy."
"Am Lydia not crazy." She said again trying to tell the guy her name is not crazy.
"Lydia." Her mother suddenly called running towards them. The guy panicked and entered his car and drove off.
"Bye Santa." She yelled and waved before turning in her mother's direction.
"Mother." She called happily and clapped her hands. Her mother got to her and hugged her.
"Have been looking all over for you, where have you been?"
"Lydia met Santa."
Her mum just nodded not understanding what she is saying and her eyes suddenly drifted to her hand.
"Oh my God, Lydia what happened?"
"I want to fly mother." She yelled and suddenly started running and her mother ran after her.
Lydia licked her lips and nod her head repeatedly as her mother dressed her wound, her mother was done and she stared at her hand.
"A new hand, mother how much did you buy it?" She asked surprised and her mother smiled out tears.
"Time to sleep."
"But mother hasn't eaten yet."
"Mother is not hungry."
"But if mother doesn't eat she will suffer from hunger and it's really going to affect her a lot, it could result in ulcer which can also come with complications cause mother is getting old already so I think mother should eat."
Her mother smiled and ruffled her hair.
"You are so smart."
"But you have to sleep, come on."
Her mother carefully laid her on the bed and covered her with a blanket. She pecked her forehead and turned off the lights before walking out of the room.
Lydia suddenly sighed and smiled as her mind drifted back to Santa, she giggled and hoped to see him soon.
THE NEXT MORNING
Lydia's mum suddenly opened her eyes and flinched when she saw Lydia sitting so close to her on the bed. Lydia laughed and stood up.
"Mummy is awake, yayyy." She yelled and ran into her room.
She hurriedly took off her clothes and entered the bathroom.
Her mum ran into the room and smiled when she saw her clothes on the floor. She ran into the bathroom and saw her taking her bath already.
"So Lydia you are to wait at this spot like you did yesterday and I will come to pick you." She nodded and licked the candy her mum had bought for her on their way to school.
She pecked her forehand and Lydia touched her forehead and her mother's lips just like she did yesterday.
"Bye." She waved and ran towards the school. She got in and looked around.
Students already know she isn't mentally okay as they paved way for her and some laughed at her, she cared less about what anyone did as she paid full attention to her candy.
"Hey crazy." One of the bullies said and she turned at them.
"Hey, friends." She said happily and waved at them.
They laughed and collected the candy and threw it in the trash can. She gasped and ran to it.
She picked it and walked back to them.
"So sorry you dropped it." She said and gave the guy. She ruffled his hair and walked away.
She got to her class and walked in, she saw Tracy and waved to her from the front of the class.
"Tracy." She called happily and Tracy smiled. She walked to Tracy and sat down in her seat.
"Hey, Lydia."
"I saw Santa yesterday, he spoilt my hand and mum bought me a new hand, see?" She said happily and showed Tracy her bandaged hand.
"Santa?"
"Yes he is really cute and I hugged him."
"Okay when next you see Santa send my regards to him." She nodded and the teacher walked in
As usual, throughout the class, Lydia answered most of the questions which still made her remain the talk of the school.
Immediately the bell rang Lydia stood up and ran out of the class not giving Tracy the chance to even look at her. Tracy turned in her direction and sighed seeing she was gone.
"I hope she is okay." She muttered and walked out of the class.
Lydia kept walking in any direction she sees. She arrived at a point and saw a sign on the wall.
"Private section." She read out loud and scratched her head.
She shrugged and continued walking. She suddenly saw two guys dressed in uniform walking towards her. She recognizes one as her Santa.
"Santa" She yelled and ran to the guy, he gasped on seeing her.
"Fuck you go to this school?"
"Fuck. Thank you are a fuck."
"Oh and Tracy says I should greet you."
"Tracy. Who the hell is Tracy and why are you acting crazy and weird and why do you keep calling me Santa ?"
"Dude I think she is the new girl that has been on the school blog, the one with the mental issue." His friend said.
"Oh, that explains why she keeps calling me Santa and thinks she is a fuck."The guy laughed.
"What is she doing here?" His friend asked and she stared at him.
She suddenly slapped his face and laughed. He groaned in pain and she stuck out her tongue at him.
"Come and catch me." She yelled and slapped him again. The guy laughed at his friend and she suddenly slapped him too. His friend laughed back at him and he groaned angrily.
Lydia suddenly ran and he ran after her, he was about to catch her and she bit him so hard on his hand, he let go of her and she laughed.
"Bye Santa." She yelled and hugged the guy before walking away.
By the time she returned to the main building lunch break was over. She got to her class and walked in.
The whole class and teacher turned to her.
"Lydia where have you been?" The teacher asked but she kept starring at the board, the teacher made a mistake in the formula he wrote on the board.
She picked the marker and corrected it. She derived the formula and dropped the marker.
"Guess you are a bad teacher after all." One of the bullies said and Lydia turned to him.
"You should learn to keep your mouth shut cause most things you say sometimes end up being rubbish, yes he is our teacher and he is bound to make a mistake cause we are all not perfect and you that seems to know everything should have at least told him he was wrong, not call him a bad teacher but it's not your fault, it's obvious you don't have morals." She said and the class gasped
"Am Lydia." She said and walked to her seat leaving everyone in shock
