The next day, Claire woke up early. Andrei was already gone when she woke up and he just left a post-it note, saying that he already went to the office.

And since she's alone, she just made pancakes and made herself a coffee as well. After she ate, she immediately took a bath and got dressed.

She's planning to visit Ruby and look for a job.

She took all of the things that she needed, including her documents that she needed in finding a job. She doesn't know how Drei got her documents and she has no plans to find out more. She also took the money left by Andrei.

When she finds a job, she will make sure that she would be able to pay Andrei for the food and for letting her stay in his house as well. As soon as she went out of Andrei's home, she immediately took a cab to Ruby's condo.

She is so excited to see her.

When she was already in front of the door of Ruby's condo unit, she immediately rang the doorbell. Just a few minutes after she rang the doorbell, Ruby finally opened the door and she could see the shock on her girlfriend's face after seeing her. Perhaps she did not expect her to come and visit. But the surprised look on Ruby's face did not last long and it was immediately replaced with glee and happiness.

Ruby quickly hugged her tightly as if she was trying to tell her how she misses her in that hug. And she hugged her back.

They did not meet for several weeks because they were both busy with their jobs. They are both heirs of their parents' respective companies so they understand each other when it comes to working.

She was about to kiss her again when Ruby suddenly moved away from her. Then she suddenly pulled her until they are finally inside its unit. And when they reached the living room, Ruby gently pushed her causing her to settle on the couch.

Ruby started taking off her own clothes, as well as her undergarments, making her totally naked right in front of her.

After that, a long silence passed between the two of them.

"Babe...I need to tell you something." Claire said after a few minutes of silence that surrounded them.

As she was making her way towards Ruby's condo earlier, she thought about what Andrei had said. And she must admit, Andrei is right.

Sooner or later, Ruby will eventually find out about what happened between her and her parents.

Ruby frowned at her. "What is it?"

She sighed first before she answered her. "I left home."

Ruby frowned even more. She could see the confusion on Ruby's face.

"What? Why? What are you and your parents are arguing about? Is this about us again?"

She sighed again. "A fixed marriage."

Shock immediately replaced the confusion on Ruby's face. Her mouth was opened wide.

"They wanted me to marry their business partner. Of course, I refused. But you know my parents, especially my dad. He will not stop until I do what he wants. So I did what I thought was the best thing to do. I ran away. " She continued.

She looked at Ruby. There was still shock on her face and her mouth was still opened wide.

"B-but Claire...they are still your parents. Maybe you can still talk about it." Ruby said.

She laughed and looked up. "As if they will listen to me. There are only two things that are important to them, babe. Their name and the company." She said with full of bitterness. She turned her gaze back to Ruby again who was staring at her worriedly. "You are the most important person to me right now, Ruby. You are my happiness and I will not let them take you away from me." She said with full of seriousness in her voice.

She stayed in Ruby's condo for two hours. Ruby convinced her several times to go back to their house and talk to her parents but her decision remains the same.

She won't go back to her parents. She will stand by her decision.

So here she is now, looking for a job. But it seems like she ran out of luck because she has been to several companies but no position is vacant.

At three o'clock, she finally decided to take a rest first. She headed to the nearby park just near the last company she went to and she sat at one of the benches in the park.

She sighed.

She's already tired, hungry, and exhausted. She has money to buy food but she chose to save the money that Andrei gave her so that she can use it again tomorrow.

She looked around the park. She saw lovers dating and family and friends having fun. And she could not help but be jealous. They all looked so happy and contented with their lives. Unlike her, who is destined to be deprived of happiness.

"Ah, enough with that, Claire. You have no time to pity yourself! You can find a job too!" She told herself.

She was about to get up to continue looking for a job when suddenly, someone covered her eyes and even her mouth causing her to feel the weight of her eyelids. She suddenly felt drowsy.

"You can't escape from me, Claire. No one can escape from me." Was the last thing she heard before she finally lost consciousness.
