“Hi! You're welcome, Clara!”I overheard someone whispering from afar while I just got into the hotel gate with Lisa, my friend.'Who could've known me here just today that I began to enter this hospital?'The thought came to me as I knew not the person that could know and call my attention in such a manner.Just as though she knew what popped up in my mind, Lisa echoed;“Ha!, they already know you here?”“Dear, that's how I see it. I don't know the actual person who's calling me. You could've seen what happened earlier today. It was like a drama between me and the doctors and nurses. I guess all of them now know me.”I tried to let her know what ensued earlier.“It's well. Everything is working out for good.”Clara said while nodding her head.“I just believe mummy would be fine so that we would continue who we used to stay.”“I'm the one talking to you, Clara!”I heard the nurse say as he tapped me on my shoulder.I could see Clara gazing at me suspiciously. “Hi, sir!”I replied, smiling sheepishly while trying to act at the same tempo.“Hope you'll now breathe? Your mum is out of the theater and she's feeling better!”On hearing what he said, I knew not where the hot tears that dripped down from my eyes.“You mean she's fine now?”I asked with a cracked voice while blinking my eyes continuously to oppress the tears that kept dripping from my eyes.“Yeah! That has been our prayer, Clara! And God has answered us. She's now comfortable in her ward.” He added while getting himself closer to me. I was shocked when he hugged me passionately. I was speechless for some while, and I can't even tell how the tears stopped dripping.Furthermore, I never experienced anything like that from his gender I was wowed to see myself passionately being curdled by someone I had no attachment to. A look at Lisa reminded me that I was swimming in a foreign river. I separated myself from the nurse instantly. “Follow me, so I will take you to where she is”He whispered as he led the way.“You've been calling my name since I got in here. May I know your name?”I asked him as he's turned himself into a friend, even though I'm yet to know what he was after.“I'm Ronald!”“Ok, now I can call you by your name when next you call my name.”“And this is my friend…"“Lisa!”Lisa whispered her name since he wanted to do the introduction herself.“That's good. Here we are!”Ronald said as we arrived at a room in the hospital.I hurried into the room and hugged my mother, who was already gazing at me while on the bed. I could hear her countenance screaming “God why me?” Although she's supposed to know that she didn't cause it. But she was taking it hard on herself.“Mummy! Thank God you're alive again! Stay with me, please!” These and other words I said, but mummy was unable to say a word to me. Her look was so odd that I had to forget whichever thing was on my mind and began to advise and encourage her as best I could. It was a few seconds later that I saw her trying all she could to stop herself from crying but it seemed it was late because tears were too close to her eyes. “Baby Clara! I never intend to do this to you. I apologize for putting you under his stress!”“Mum, It's ok. And besides, I'm not complaining! I know my beloved mum won't permit such to happen to me. But that's not the case. Sicknesses come but never the end. Please ignore that and stay with me”I asserted as I never expected her to feel perplexed or anything of such nature. While I was still giving her reasons to ignore whichever thing that happened earlier, she grabbed my right hand and kissed it. Her gesture forced warm blood down my spine, and I knew not when I began to shake my head in a plight not to cry.To make her know that I felt the same way as she did, I had to peck her on the forehead. While the drama between mother and daughter was going on, Lisa and Royal were watching the emotional episode. When I turned toward them, I could see that both of them folded their arms and focused their hundreds percent interest on my conversation with my mum.“I think, now, I should go and continue my duty!”Ronald whispered as he realized that I was stylishly gazing at him while he was lost in thought as to what was going on in the room.“Thank you, Ronald. I appreciate all you've done for me as my mum!”I responded to him.“Not really a big deal. That's what I'm employed to do. Just doing my work.”He was sounding innocent, as though he were a rare germ from the so-called gender.“Wow! You're just a kind person. Please come around. To check on us, please!”I asserted with a louder tone, as he was already outside the door.“Sure, I will. And you remind me of something”He said as he came back into the room.“Here's my business card”He said as he brought out a well-defined card from his pocket. “Do well to call me when the need arises. I will always be at your service!”“Thank you, sir!”I asserted as I collected it from him, then he left the area.Mommy could not allow him to go far before she began to ask me how I knew him.“Mum, your health brought us together!”I replied jokingly while trying hard to put a smile on the broken face.“He's a good man."Mummy commented."Yeah! I guess. I replied as I seized from the constant smoker face I activated earlier.
