Chapter 9

As I was walking, somewhere else I heard someone talking too loud, I followed the sounds until I reached a room with people watching others acting on stage i realized it was drama class. I was about to pass, all of a sudden I spotted Seher in the room with a script on her hand looking at the people performing.

I was heading towards her when I heard everybody clapping because of the performance.

I was surprised to see Seher cheering for the guy. When I looked closely I realized he was one of the guys that laughed at me when they were spilled my drink. I was so mad that I left the room with anger.

I went to my class and had biology practical and I was paired with Sasha which was good, I was so pissed off that I didn't know Sasha was looking at me.

"What?" I asked her.

"You know that you are cutting the wrong side of the fish?" Sasha asked.

I looked down at fish and realized that I have cut down the fin instead of peeling its outer skin.

What is wrong with you today you don't look good at all. Sasha kept on questioning me.

I told her what happened and what I saw.

What do I do? I finally asked.

Ask her what is happening between them and then make your own decisions. I mean seher is your best friend right?, just so you know I don't think Michael is a bad guy maybe you are confusing.

How did you know his name?

Everybody knows who they are.

They are known as "kings of high school".

And Michael is their leader. Said Sasha.

By now I was so pissed off even more.

Because I remembered he must have been the same person who seher told me when he left her before I was able reach him.

I realized that I had to find out the truth. So after school was over as always seher takes me home with her car.

I came up with a plan to make her tell me about Michael, I got into her car slamming the door so hard that she looked at me with confusion.

I HATE HIM, I HATE HIM I said with anger.

What's wrong with you she asked.

That so called Michael you know what he did.

No, she said.

He was so rude, he spilled a drink on my face and ended up laughing at me. I said all these with anger.

I am so sorry sahra she said.

I promise I will talk to him.

Excuse me, wait...... What?

So you've been talking to him all these months and I didn't even know.

I thought we agreed on no more lies and secrets.

Listen... Sahra I have been trying to but...

But what? Seher.

I am not mad at you to honest. I just fear for you, that he may play with you and decide to throw you out when he is done.

Sahra please listen I am old enough to handle my own life so just be happy for me will you?

Can you please stay with me for the weekend because Michael and I are going to be rehearsing for a play and I need someone help me out he's coming over to my house and I can't be alone with him.

"Why? Can't you do it at school?" I asked.

Because the teacher wants us to ready by next week.

I am sorry I can't because I have to work and and I usually take her to evening classes.

Ohh! Can't you ask one of her friends to take her.

No seher, please don't get me wrong but I have to do this on my own.

Why don't you talk to Tina or Sasha maybe they would like to help you.

So we reached my house and waved bye to her.

Wishing her good luck hopefully she does well.

As I go inside I found my mom rolling on the floor holding her stomach I was so scared I called 911 and my mom was rushed to the hospital. The doctors and nurses were running in and out of the emergency room, I tried to get information about my mom but no one was saying anything, they ignored me and kept on doing what ever they can.

Few hours later I saw Seher and the girls running towards me, they all hugged me tight which was what I needed right now.

No one came out of the room until hours later.

When the red light turned off, a doctor came out and told me that he had bad news for me.

What is wrong with my mom doctor.

I am a afraid I have bad for you.

What... What is it doctor.

It's just that your mother had stomach cancer for the last three years.

No!!!

And am so sorry she's been taking chemotherapy for the last few months.

It can't be, my mom is healthy and I suggest you to get your brain checked. because if my mom had cancer she would have told me herself.

"Please excuse me." said the doctor.

He left me there standing there like a statue not until Seher and the girls hugged me telling me it's going to be OK.

I started crying so hard that I ended up fainting.

The last thing I remember was Seher screaming and two strong arms carrying me.
