CHAPTER 2: Couldn't Control His Brain

15th May.

Like the mornings Justin used to have — calm, peaceful, and quiet. Ah, it doesn't seem too quiet, because the clinking sound of forks and knives colliding with each other makes a loud noise and disturbs the silence. This morning, Dracella had already left for her campus due to the morning class in her presentation class. Shortly, the ringing tone of Justin's cellphone which was in the hands of one of the waiters who was standing not far from the dining table rang. The waiter walked over to Justin and gave his cellphone politely. Justin immediately received his cellphone after wiping his lips with his eating cloth.

"What is wrong?" Justin asked — without waiting for the caller to make his voice.

"Let's go fishing! We're here!" cried Dennis — the person who contacted Justin in the middle of Justin's peaceful breakfast activity.

"You think I don't have a job?"

"Your secretary already told me that you don't have an important schedule today, so you can go out to spend time with his friends."

Justin snorted. Ah, he forgot that Dennis must have put together this plan every year. Yes, Justin knew Dennis and the rest of his friends would surely drag him out of his peace after the anniversary of his father's death. Every year, that means not one time in a year that they forget. Justin sighed softly.

"All right, alright. I'll be ready in a moment. You've prepared everything, haven't you? I don't want to bother bringing my own things from my house."

"Take it easy. Everything is ready on board Edric. You just need to bring a suitable wine to drink together this time, okay?"

Justin got up from his chair, walked out of the dining room still with his cell phone to his ear. After Justin came out of the dining room, several servants cleaned Justin's plates and took him to the kitchen. Meanwhile Justin, he climbed the stairs to his room to change his work clothes into more casual clothes.

"OK." One word Justin said without waiting for an answer from Dennis and Justin hung up the call and threw his cell phone on a large white sofa and immediately changed his clothes.

Not long after, Justin came out of his walk-in closet, complete with a sky blue shirt with one open top button and white short pants. Not forgetting the sunglasses hanging on his shirt and also the luxury watch on his left hand. Simple but perfect.

Getting his car out of the garage, he had a chance to run into Bernard, the vineyard keeper as well as the man who had been taking care of him and also Dracella after his father left. Bernard seemed to have just returned from his vineyard, so Justin honked his horn and waved his hand at Bernard.

Feeling quite in the middle of the sea, the boat stopped and Justin and his friends prepared their fishing equipment.

"You know, I thought you were going to reject me this time." Said Dennis, waiting for a fish to eat the bait he had put.

"Every year you do this without stopping. Have I rejected you?"

Dennis shrugged his shoulders. "Somehow you always feel that way."

"Why don't you bring Felix and Arthur along too?" Justin asked again.

Dennis and Edric both turned their heads together, staring at Justin with disbelief.

"Jeez, you. You forgot about Felix's status as husband and father-to-be? And it's only been a month since we attended Arthur's wedding and they have to live in London. After all, it's a fishing event for single men." Dennis replied with pride in his status.

"Please don't forget that we will also be future uncles." Edric continued later.

"I feel like an old man here." Justin replied, who then did not get any response from his two friends.

There was Edric's sigh of breath shortly after. "Ah, actually I still wonder how they fell in love and decided so quickly to get married. They really are ready to do anything."

Justin and dennis looked at Edric together.

"Well, I keep thinking of arthurs who are luckier than my father." Justin said who then immediately lowered his head as if contemplating all the events that had happened in his life.

For a moment, Edric and Dennis were silent and just stared at Justin. But, it didn't take long, because Dennis immediately let out his voice and broke the silence on the ship.

"It's been years and you're still like this whenever you talk about him." Said Dennis which made Justin still silent. Until a few minutes later, Justin stretched his shoulders which looked tense.

Justin sighed. "I hate this atmosphere, come on help me pull this hook." Justin pulled firmly on the fishing line and put 1 large fish in a large bucket. Secretly, no one knows, in his heart — Justin tried to get rid of that sad feeling.

Meanwhile, Edric is annoyed. "You're great at ruining the atmosphere. I'm enjoying it."

"Right. Let's have fun. Who knows which of you will catch up with Felix and Arthur." chuckles Dennis, who suddenly discussed the problem of a partner, had absolutely nothing to do with it, so suddenly Dennis got two pairs of eyes staring at him in disbelief.

"You." Justin pointed at, connecting Dennis's own words. After a few seconds Dennis realized the meaning of Justin's words, he shook his head hard. In fact, his hands formed an X in front of his face.

"You just keep on discussing it. Just tell me you're tired of being alone." Edric's chuckled, followed by Justin's crisp laugh.

"You know, right. Evy is still waiting for you, dennis." Justin responded.

Dennis chuckled irritably. In fact, he was already pulling the fishing line randomly and throwing it in any direction.

"Don't say her name in front of me." Snapped Dennis — as usual. Justin and Edric just shrugged after looking at each other and chuckling.

After hours of fishing, their boat returned and the three of them immediately got off the boat with some of the fish they had caught. The three of them drive separate cars and head to a café, a place where they will have lunch together.

After parking the car on the side of the road, the three of them got off and entered a cafe that looked busy with visitors. The employees themselves were seen walking from one direction to another carrying trays containing the food ordered by the visitors. Edric, Dennis and Justin chose to sit outside and enjoy the view there.

Turning his gaze around the area there, suddenly Justin's eyes caught a sight like a flower blooming in the middle of a flower field that was circling it. It was as if the flower was expanding its bud and producing light around it. Exquisite. Justin did not even realize that his brain was describing the smile of a woman who was joking with the other person. Although many women around him were staring at him and his friends, Justin could not control his brain asking him to see the beautiful scenery that had become his focus.
