I was just leaving Ayan's room and on my way down, crashed into Kabir, he revoked his step a little and inquired if his son was sleeping.

I nodded and he shifts his direction and left.

Thank God he didn't ask if I had helped him with his assignments, if not I would be getting an earful from him.

It seems Kabir loves to lecture me.

He isn't my dad but my gosh! He lectures me more than dad does.

I went back to my room to rest and this time, made sure my room was locked, I wouldn't want to have another bucket of ice-cold water poured on me right?.

I had a seat on my bed and continued my sleep, not very long ago, someone banged on my door.

I got down from the bed, opened it just to find Ayan at my door.

He held a pillow in his hand and walked in

"Miss Samantha, do you mind if I sleep here, I am having nightmares".

He says wearing a sad look.

Nightmare?.

I had no problem having him stay here but will Kabir be supportive when he finds his son inside my room.

First, he accused me of poisoning the ice cream I bought for his son, poured me a bucket full of ice-cold water and I wouldn't want to think what he might do to me if he finds Ayan here.

No! I cannot possibly get over the feeling of what he might do.

"Look dear, I don't think your dad would want you to stay here with me, he might get upset".

I resolved back.

"No miss Samantha, dad isn't around, and trust me, he is never at home, he always busy," he replied, "he will be back tomorrow morning".

He added.

Tomorrow morning?

I wonder what he gets done in the night, maybe Kabir is a werewolf or perhaps a wizard, at least only they go out in the night.

Well seeing that might not be a problem, I allowed Ayan to stay with me, he jumped on the bed and I walked over and tucked him in.

He closed his eyes and asked me to sing him a lullaby, I smiled and locked his hand with mine.

I sang to him the songs dad always sings to me whenever I am having a nightmare...

I sang to Ayan and slowly he slept off.

I rode close my door when I felt someone past my room.

I poked my head outside and stared, maybe I didn't see well, and so retired to bed.

The following morning, Ayan woke me up, he tapped my shoulders and I got down from the bed looking at him.

"Good morning miss Samantha, did you sleep well,"

He interrogated.

"Sure, I did, tell me, is your dad back?.

I stressed out, packed my hair above my neck, and turned just to find the same person gazing at me.

Holy shit.

I almost fell unconscious, what's Kabir doing here, oh my gosh, is here to shout at me.

"Ayan, please go to your room and I'll be there in a minute".

He requested.

Ayan ran out as fast as his legs could take him and I froze, patiently waiting to be shouted out.

I ran my hand to my ears and closed my eyes, a few hours past yet nothing seems to happen.

Why isn't he shouting at me?

I unlocked my eyes and too much surprise, found the room empty.

Kabir must have left, but why?

I am not complaining, on the contrary, I'm happy he did, however, conflicted as to why he didn't shout at me.

Later some hours getting dressed, I walked down and Ayan was on his way to school, I rushed out to go after him, however, Kabir came and obstructed my path

"Where're you going?"

He inquired.

"I want to go with Ayan to school sir"

I answered back.

"What school, there isn't any need Samantha, I will be driving him to school, so don't bother".

He elucidated.

I thought to myself, why not, I went around to head back to my room, yet also I was dragged back by him.

"Where are you going?".

Kabir whacked my hand away

I told and he giggled, he was liked just because Ayan is going to school, doesn't mean I will have a day off and that I'll be accompanying him to the company

It looked like he had just said something strange, he hissed and turned over to the exit.

I ran after him but unfortunately, he had driven off giving Mr. David a message from him to me.

Kabir authorized me to come to the office In a taxi.

I growled seeing how miserable he loved rendering me feel.

I thanked Mr. David and got into the first cab that passed the front gate.

After some time on the road, I came to the office, I rode Inside and Kabir was seen having a meeting inside his cabin.

I walked past the cafeteria and he saw me, I sat down on a chair and without wanting any attention on me.

A masculine voice lets out from behind.

"Do you perhaps want a cup of coffee".

I shifted back my attention, and my eyes met a man, his charming smile, curly hair, and least I forget his chiseled jaw made my eyes open.

He walked to my table and placed a cup of coffee, I smiled and thanked him, he seats next to me and asked if I was a staff at the company.

However I had no choice but to say no, I wasn't staffing at the company and I am yet to understand why Kabir sent me here

"Miss Samantha!"

A lady takes my attention, I turned to answer and she informed me Kabir was waiting inside his cabin for me.

I receded and left the fine specimen seated at the cafeteria with me, Kabir always has bad timing.

"Sir, you sent for me"

I walked into his cabin, he lifts his head and pointed out a direction, I went after him and noticed the doors weren't closed.

I overturned my steps and locked the door shut, not watchful of any drama, Kabir takes my hand with force and nailed me to the wall.

I banged my back thick and heard something crack, he looked at me with so much anger that I am yet to understand why.

"Sir, what happened, did I do anything wrong?"

I felt his hand grip tightly on my wrist

"Yes, you did something wrong", he says, "how dare you to flirt with my worker and inside my company, do you have no shame?".

He puts in.

Kabir's words infuriated me, however, I did nothing but listen to his words that smeared my heart.

I know I am a handful and a lot annoying, but no one has ever questioned my character the way he just did

Kabri takes a step backward after seeing I had nothing to say

I turned to the exit leaving, but he calls again

"You're not going anywhere Samantha, remember I asked you to come here for a reason".

He informed.

I repaid but my eyes rejected to take a look at him.

As usual, he made sure I had no choice but to accept working In his company as the coffee lady and the cafeteria.
