After the incident, Arlette was locked in a room and never allowed out. The incident was forgotten as if it had never happened.
SOME YEARS LATER
Arlette was sitting by the window of her room staring out, her door suddenly opened, Claire, her mother, walked in with a tray of food,
"Your breakfast is ready," she said as she dropped the food, Arlette turned towards her mother, she stared at her and the food, without saying anything, turned her attention back to the window.
Claire sighed
She's been doing this since she was locked inside.
Silence is another thing she has developed.
"I'll feed you," she said, taking the food to Arlette, she scooped some food into the spoon and held the spoon with the food in front of her face, Arlette stared at her mother, then at the food.
"Please," Claire pleaded, Arlette opened her mouth, Claire smiled at her.
"There will be a meeting with the Alpha King Gareth in the Pack Hall," Claire said, Arlette staring at her with a questioning look
*Why are you telling me?"
"All pack members are expected in the pack hall," Claire continued.
""Am not a member of the pack, am an unknown member as your mate said. ' Arlette said icily, without looking at her mother, her mother gave her a sad smile.
"You don't have to listen to your dad, he was angry the day he said that, he loves you."
"I'm sick of that statement, he loves you, he loves me, he denied me, he loves me, he called me unknown for living with him in front of the pack members," Arlette said angrily.
Claire sighed speechless she doesn't know what to say, honestly, her mate never liked her daughter the reason is unknown.
The more she tried to tell her daughter about his love, the more her hatred for him deepened.
"I think I'm full," Arlette said, her mother nodded and handing back the rest of the plate of food
"I'll get you a dress for the congregation meeting," Claire said, carrying the tray.
"Is the meeting a party?" she asked her mother confused.
"No, I just felt like buying you a new dress to make you look extremely stunning,I have a feeling you're going to meet your mate."
"Mate???" Arlette scoffed at the word mate
"Almost all of the teens in the pack had found their mate," Claire said. Arlette scoffed again and glared at her mother.
"And you think I'll find mine at the gathering?"
"Yes," Claire said smiling, Arlette stared at her mother suspiciously.
"Don't look at me like that," Claire said, walking out with the tray in hand
Arlette shook her head, she thought, her mother is weird.
*mate* she thought.
* Will I ever have a mate? *
*
Alpha King Gare, the strongest, wealthiest, and richest Alpha King with the strongest wealthiest, richest, largest, and broadest pack in the supernatural world.
And he is the first in history to reign at the age of "6". His parents were killed by villains when he was six, making him the strongest.
He is also the youngest alpha king in history. He is the first Alpha King to have mistresses like that of the Vampire King.
He never believes in the mating bond because he hasn't seen his mate, leading him to believe he never had one. His favorite mistress always stood in the position of Luna Queen at the gathering of any meeting in the supernatural world.

As she entered the meeting, Arlette walked side by side with her mother, dressed in a royal blue knee-length gown with three-inch heels. Her dark brown hair was styled and woven to one side which made her looked gorgeous.
Everyone in the gathering stared at her, both mated and unmated, especially her, who had a sanctifying beauty and glowing caramel skin.
Gemma Sly stared at his wife and daughter who drew the attention of the whole pack, he stared at his daughter for several minutes, he doesn't know why he hated his daughter, his own daughter. He thought about it, but saw no convoluted reason for a father to hate his daughter.
They made eye contact, he could see the hate she had for him and he felt it. After they stared at each other for a few minutes, she looked away. He stared at his wife, who smiled at him.
"The king has arrived." The announcer announced.
•ARLETTE• POV
When the announcer announced the king's arrival, I began to feel uncomfortable, I could also smell a pleasant smell that I wanted to sniff every day. Also, I could hear my mind whispering to me.
"Are you alright?" my mother asked.
"Yes."
Immediately he came into view, my mind screamed "mate"
I wanted to run to his arm, but controlled myself. He went to his table, his eye scanning the room. Immediately our eyes met, I felt an electrical spark in my body.
I gasped, looking elsewhere.
"Honey, are you alright?" asked my mother.
"Yes," I replied, forcing a smile.
When he began his speech, I couldn't stare at him nor pay attention to what he was saying.
I felt touch on my shoulder, I stared at my toucher, it was my mother
"The king asked you a question." She said. I stared in his direction.
"What was my last sentence Miss?" he asked and I bit my lip nervously.
"What was his last sentence?" My mother whispered. I stared at my feet.
"I've been watching her since I started, she wasn't paying attention, which is an insult to a king." He said. He stared at me l suddenly felt uncomfortable under his stares, before he could say a word I ran out.
*
After Arlette ran out, Alpha King Gare stared speechlessly at her running image. Everyone present looked surprised and shocked.
"I want that girl." he said angrily before leaving the meeting room.

ARLETTE
"What do you think you're doing?"
"You're out of your mind?" My so-called father was screaming and pounding in my room. I ignored him staring out the window.
"You want to ignore me, you will be punished for what you have done." He said. I rolled my eyes *like he cares* I thought.
"Darling, don't yell at her, this will not be a solution to what happened." my mother said.
"Why did you disrespect the Alpha King?" asked mom.
"Mom I didn't disrespect him, he makes me uncomfortable, I left the meeting room to avoid doing something stupid." I said. My parents stared at each other. My mother was about to say something when we heard a knock
we all stared at each other.
"Let me answer," he said and left my room. My mother stared at me, she sighed and held my hand.
"Ally, what you did was wrong, you should have excused your self before running, this act will get you in trouble and the Alpha King will not spare you." she said worried.
"Don't worry mom, I'll be fine," I said, smiling at her.
The door opened and my father came in, worried.
"Alpha wants us in his office." He said and my mother stared at me, I shrugged.
*
I glared at my father as he tried to convince the Alpha not to take me to the Alpha king, or rather they should ask me to apologize.
I know he hated me, he should let me go.
He begged the Alpha, who later used his Alpharic voice against him.
He looks at me helplessly and worried. At that moment, my hatred for him went away, but not entirely.
"I tried my best." he said worried.
"I understand you don't have to plead for me, instead you should be glad that the living unknown is going." I said.
He stared at me bitterly.
"I'm sor......"
"Your apology won't change anything." I said walking away.
