Chapter 7 Running Away From The Unkown

"Mom, what is going on?" I asked in a whisper as I watch my dad leave.

"Nothing dear come let go," she said in a low voice as she lead me out of the sitting room leaving my dad behind.

She walks towards her room and package a few things inside my school bag and she hands it over to me while I place it on my back waiting for my mom to tell me what is really happening.

"Mom I know everything is not fine can you please tell me what is going on?" I asked facing her my blue eyes looking into her face as we make our way towards the basement.

"Nothing, everything is fine dear we just have to leave this place now" she mumbles opening a door that leads in an unknown direction as she urges me to pass the door.

"Mom stop it" I yelled. "I am no longer a kid I am 17 for God's sake and will soon be clocking 18 please stop treating me like a kid" I breathe hard trying to control my emotions. "I have taken enough of your lies always moving into a new house without me knowing a genuine reason behind it and now something bad is about to happen and you are still lying to my face" I yelled as my mom who went silent staring at me in shock she doesn't see that coming. Yes, I have never talked back at her in such manners.

"Aria this is beyond you but I want you to know that I am trying to protect you" my mom muttered holding my face in her terrified hand as she stare at me in fear.

I was about to say something when suddenly we heard the loud scream of pain and agony from my dad outside followed by struggling and a loud noise which later die off after a while. I became terrified my eyes staring at my mom in fear something bad is happening to my dad I knew it with the noise I just heard.

"Mom let me go, I want to see my dad I want to talk to him" I cried trying to find my way out with my mom who was blocking me as she struggle with me not letting me pass.

"Hey listen to me Aria you have to go you have to run away from this place before they get you, you have to go now" my mom stuttered holding me in my hands which are now shaking in fear.

"No mom I can't, I can't go alone leaving you here alone it's dangerous" I cried shaking my head in disagreement tears already gathered in my eyes.

"Please my princess you have to survive and, do remember to always take your med I have to packed it into a new form of tablet which will now be easy for you to take," she said giving me a slight smile that is covered with pains and many unspoken words.

"No I can't, I won't take it if you don't come with me" I cried shaking my head I don't think I can survive without my parents.

"I know you will and you won't disobey your mom, if we go together they are going to kill us both" My mom pause all of a sudden when she heard some footsteps walking in our direction.

"Aria please you have to go now" she let go of my hands as uncontrollable tears started dripping down my face why is my life turning into horror just like this before my eyes why can't I stop it or is this one of my scary dreams that I need to wake up from.

"Aria baby please don't cry okay, just be strong and make sure you take your Med" my mom remind me again using her thumb to wipe away my tears as she push me inside the trap door which was very dark a direction to where I have no idea about and immediately she locks the door and closes the curtain so no one will know that there was a road there.

"Please let me go" I heard my mom's scream immediately she was gasping for air I don't know what those people are doing to her but I believe they are treating my mom very badly they are hurting her.

"Where is the girl, where is she?" I heard a very bold and loud voice which makes all my body systems pause in fear. Why are they looking for me what did I have to offer them I thought staying quiet and put in a dark place.

"You are never going to find her she is not here you are all bunch of losers" my mom laughed her voice sounding very faint.

"You are a fool" I heard another man's voice followed by a loud slap which I knew landed on my mom's face as she screamed in pain. I remain standing and mute no I can't move I find it hard to even walk away leaving my mom here. I walk closer to the door and I placed my hand on it as I pip through the small hole in the door.

Piping through the open hole I could see two hefty men inside our house one was wearing black all through while the other guy have his eyes covered.

"You are gonna tell us where she is or am going to kill you now" the man wearing black an overall black warned pointing a gun at my mom's head.

"You can go ahead and kill me but I will never tell you where she is" my mom laughed and immediately the man with covered eyes pull the trigger shooting my mom on her leg as blood came gushing out of her leg while she wail in pains holding her leg with her hand.

"Nooooo" an unknown scream escape from my lips as I watch my mom on the floor I felt bad for her like I am the one being shot. I quickly cover my hand with my mouth when I realized that I had just made an announcement that I was there with my scream. The two men turn their heads around to face the trap door immediately they heard my scream.

Oh God, I am doomed is this how I am going to die.

"Aria runnnnnn" I heard my mom's loud voice.
