Chapter 3

Yuna didn't know how long she had been in a daze but out of everything, she had one thing in her mind RUN! In no way, this was happening in her life. The word 'Mate' was impossible to come out from a Radenwood wolf as they were destined to not meet their fated mates.

Ryder was equally shocked and hurt shone from his dark eyes. He was already bending forward to kiss those lips that he always dreamt of. His dream became blurry around him and involuntarily, he took a step back, stunned like everyone else in the room as they could all hear each other.

Kaden didn't move an inch from his spot but there was a playful smirk on his face. Before he had the chance to grab his mate, Yuna mumbled running outside of the room,

" I..I think..I need to leave.."

Outside, she was stumbling through the corridor aimlessly, wanting to get out of this house. Little did, she guess that someone would follow her. Her wolf wasn't in control after finding her mate. Her wolf wanted its mate and pushed her to go back to the crowd but Yuna had been turning deaf ears to all her suggestions.

In no way, she was fated to Vampire! Furthermore, if they weren't blessed to have fated mates, then how was it possible?

Nothing didn't make any sense inside her thoughts. When she finally finished the corridor after a foolish run, she felt a presence behind her back. She attempted to jump off but his grip was faster than her jump, trapping her between the railings and his massive body.

" Do you think that you can run away from me after finding each other?", Kaden growled at her face, his fangs coming out itching to mark his mate. Fortunately, he had control over it.

Yuna rebuked sharply between her heavy breathing,

" Let go of me, Lord Kaden. Something is wrong with us. I am not obliged to find a fated mate. This must be some sort of magical trick."

Kaden didn't let go of her immediately and gripped tighter to force her, looking into his eyes. His words stressed out coldly,

" We can always find this, Alpha Yuna. No one knows what the moon goddess is thinking. Why did you run away from me?"

Yuna clenched her teeth harder. Yes, they could always find it whether it was any magical trick or something else. But she knew the truth already. Even though all her sick logic rejected him as her mate, her body reacted the opposite. She could feel her heart quickening fast at his close approximately. Her mate, her wolf purred in a happy dance and urged her to get closer.

Kaden smirked knowingly, bent down, and ran his nose teasingly into her neck. His fangs were aching badly but he understood that it wasn't the right time. Yuna needed to cope with everything.

Yuna shut her eyes tightly, her breathing turned harsher. She could feel herself getting around just by his single touch. Her teeth came in contact with her lips to sink deeper, stopping herself from letting out of moan but she whimpered midway.

Kaden had a massive grin on his face. He loved his fiesty mate who ran away, right after she figured out that she was the queen here. His hand came over to caress her cheek carefully, murmuring,

" Relax, we can sort this out but right now, we have to show up in the crowd."

Yuna wanted to reject but Kaden was already dragging her back into the crowd. Upon entering, she noticed the shock on their faces and felt embarrassed for running away like a coward. On the other hand, Kaden had a proud smile on his face, guiding her casually into the center of the stage.

Yuna's eyes found Ryder in the crowd and for the first time, she noticed the hurt look on his eyes.

Isn't he happy about her, finding a fated mate?

The Alphas and vampires had different thoughts about them, especially Yuna who wasn't supposed to find a fated mate. The curse of Ravenwood was known by everyone but they all kept their lips sealed as she wasn't fated to any normal vampire but the lord of all vampires.

Kaden drove her up to the stage, forcing her to stay beside him. His arms wrapped around her intimately and her wolf panted, wanting more from her newly found fate.

Fuck, this mate bond!

Yuna rumbled inside but there was nothing that she could do at this moment. Kaden made his second announcement, smiling at the crowd,

" You must have all heard us, everyone. I just have found my mate and it's a blessing for both of us. I, Kaden Reagan, the lord of all vampires hereby declare Alpha Yuna as the new queen of all vampires."

Despite their objections, everyone applauded happily and greeted them respectively.

Yuna was still in her messy thoughts and smiled back awkwardly since the damage had been done already. Her eyes searched through the crowd and stopped on Ryder who couldn't hide his broken feelings. Only he was the one who wasn't applauding for them.

Kaden tracked her gaze and saw the look in Ryder's eyes, blank and angry. His memories drifted back to the moment when he first saw them, dancing together. His jaw tickled in anger and his hands around Yuna tightened subconsciously. His words slurred into her ears heavily,

" Wasn't he going to kiss you just a while ago?"

Kaden noticed him approaching just before they had their first eye contact. As a man, he could read that look on Ryder's face.

Jealous!

Yuna sent Kaden a look of disbelief and shook her head replying,

" No, he is just a friend."

Kaden scoffed pulling his eyes on Ryder who was in killing intent,

" It's better to be, Yuna because you are mine now."

Yuna rolled her eyes back, wondering what had gone wrong here possibly. She wasn't still sure about this entire mating process but the Alphas weren't happy about the outcome. Their eyes were full of questions as they looked between Yuna and Kaden who just introduced Yuna as his queen.

" I won't allow it.", someone yelled from the door and all the Alphas and vampires snapped their heads in the direction.

A young woman around Yuna's age came inside rushing angrily. Dressed in a jade green gown, she looked elegant but not that kind of sexy as much as Yuna possessed.

Kaden narrowed his eyes at the woman glaring. Yuna scrutinized her eyebrows tightly and glanced up at Kaden whose expression paled instantly.

Did they know each other? Was she his girlfriend before?

Kaden rumbled her words out fuming,

" Bella, get out of the room. You aren't welcome here. "

Yuna scowled inwardly. Her wolf became possessive and she twisted her neck, glaring at Kaden questioning,

" Why are you driving her away? What has she done? Who is she to you?"

Her questions weren't answered before Bella screamed like a maniac, already getting crazy to know that Kaden had found his queen. She was dressing at that time to think that Kaden would introduce her as the new queen today but everything fell apart from her hopes.

Bella's words echoed out furiously, bouncing against the high walls repeatedly,

" Kaden is supposed to be my mate. You..you a cursed wolf must have tricked my Kaden. Get off the stage!"

Yuna's nostrils flared up in rage, her wolf wanting to tear her foul mouth apart but she let it control for the sake of her weak pack. She scoffed back, rolling her eyes back behind her head,

" Oh please, I am not interested in your boyfriend or what you call him. Even I am not one hundred percent sure whether he is my mate or not."

" Yuna!", Kaden growled from her side, hating to hear the uncertainty of his mate. His fangs were itching hard to suck from her yet she was ignoring him as his mate repeatedly.

Yuna barked back, using her Alpha voice,

" What, Lord Kaden! Yes, we are a cursed wolf and I NEVER WISHED TO BE YOUR QUEEN! "

Bella challenged back, scoffing arrogantly,

" Then leave him! It's all because of your family's curse that we, Vampires will suffer."

Yuna gritted her teeth harder and looked up at Kaden, stressing her words out,

"Let me go, Kaden. I have an entire pack to take care of. I don't want to be a laughing stock in your personal life. Get off from me!"

Kaden blurted out, his rage getting out of control,

" Over my fucking dead body!"

Yuna rubbed her forehead and yelled impatiently at the crowd,

" Does someone know how the hell I have gotten a mate here?"

At that moment, a voice traveled from the crowd, earning their attention together,

" I think, I know how you have found your fated mate. There's only one possibility!"
