CHAPTER 2. MY BULLY.

From Noah, I found out that Mrs. Smith would be traveling in a few days and that's the reason behind why she needed to employ a nanny because she feared the twins couldn't do on their own.

“There's no much work here, you know,” Noah continued.

“My mom just feels she needs someone that can be companion to her sons, take care of the house, it's not really that much, but most importantly, we need companions” I nodded.

“And Nathan, he's a lot of work. Trust me” He was right, that little time I spent in the living room with Nathan was just enough proof.

We walked hand in hand to his room. He was really nice to me.

“You know, I feel like I've known you all my life already,” Noah chuckled as he brought out his guitar. The feeling was mutual, though. I felt like we matched each other's vibe, so it was easy to understand each other.

“Wow, you play guitar?” I gasped. He shrugged like it wasn't a big deal.

“I can sing,” I said shyly.

“Ouuu… Why don't you sing while I play? Just come up with any song you can think of” He suggested as I bit my bottom lips trying to think.

I sang softly while he played the guitar. He was too good.

“I love your voice, I can see you're a fan of SIA” Noah complimented.

“Thanks” My face mellowed down.

Just then, Nathan bashed into the room without knocking. I rolled my eyes.

For a minute, I wondered how the good Lord could just create the same person in two different bodies.

“Ain't you supposed to resume tomorrow?” Nathan asked. I ignored him.

“I can see you're already getting too comfortable with my brother,” He said, folding his arms as he leaned on the door. This life would be easier if people like Nathan didn't exist, truth be told.

He was wearing a white polo over a short. He looked very hot. Brown, neatly trimmed hair and two tiny eyes who looked like they'd disappear if he ever tried to smile.

“Noah doesn't do girls though, he's gay” I was surprised. I had no idea. I looked at Noah, but he looked away.

“This was supposed to be our little secret by the way, thanks for nothing “Noah glowered at Nathan. He looked at me, he was a bit embarrassed, I was quick to read his thoughts.

“It's fine. I mean, my cousin is gay too” I said with a small smile.

I frowned at Nathan, but he was smiling mischievously. The closer I looked at Nathan, the more my anger disappeared.

The good Lord really took time in creating them. Though Nathan was naughty, he still managed to appear hot.

Noah waved his hand over my face as he brought me back to reality.

“I'm sorry…” I shook my head.

“See? She's already daydreaming about me” Nathan said, bursting into laughter.

“Get over it, dude” Noah defended me.

I got up and informed Noah I would be leaving. I gave one last glare to Nathan before I stormed out of the room.

I got home, it was getting late. My brother was half asleep, but as soon as he heard my voice, he rushed to me.

“I missed you” I said, pulling him into a tight hug.

“Mee too” he giggled.

I went ahead and explained everything to my mom. She seemed pretty excited that finally I could help at home too.

“You know that house is another world on its own” I said as I scooped some rice into a plate.

“Uh huh… What did you expect? They're crazily rich” My mom shrugged as she helped me cover the pot.

I went ahead explaining how the twins are. “Noah is very calm and nice, I like that one” My mom raised a brow, and she gave me that suspicious look.

“Not like that, mom” I giggled like a kid.

“Besides, he's gay. But Nathan, ahh, he's so arrogant and rude, I can't stand him. I hate him already” I pouted.

“I get it, I get it. Eat your food so you can rest on time”.

I woke up the next day and checked my time. I can't be late on my first day at work. I was already thinking of excuses to give Mrs. Smith.

The security guard unlocked the gate for me. I walked in quietly.

“Mrs. Smith isn't home. She traveled earlier than expected” The security informed me. I thanked my good lord.

“And the boys?” I asked,

“They didn't sleep home last night” he responded.

“But you can go right in and do your thing” he smiled.

I went over to the boy's room. Their rooms weren't in much mess, but I still cleaned it up anyway. I stumbled across a picture under one of Nathan's old books while I was dusting his drawer. I stared at it for a while, and it dawned to me, it must be their dad, but they never spoke of the dad or didn't they care that much about him?

After dusting, I went ahead to make spaghetti. I was impressed with the design of the kitchen and the way everything was beautifully decorated.

Minutes later, I heard a car honked, the security man opened the gate while it drove in.

“Hii, Noah” I greeted as I tried to set the table.

“Liliana!” he gushed.

“Mmmn... something smells good in here” He sniffed, rubbing his stomach as we both laughed.

“I made breakfast.”

Minutes later, Nathan arrived with a girl. She looked younger than him, like about my age, but she was gorgeous, with long blonde hair and dazzling eyes.

She sat and had breakfast with us. I immediately assumed she was his girlfriend.

“You cook way better than you look” Nathan broke the silence while everyone was eating.

“Is this supposed to be a compliment?” I asked. He shrugged.

“You know you can just keep shut and eat in silence, right?” I asked again. Every little thing about Nathan triggered my anger issue.

“You can't tell me what to do in this house!” He snapped back. I hissed silently.

“You know what? Why don't you have the whole breakfast table to yourself, huh?” I asked as I got up. Noah held me back, but I just stood there glaring at Nathan.

“I lost my appetite, I'm sorry. I should go do the dishes or something” And with that, I walked to the kitchen.

About ten minutes later, Nathan walked in. I stared at him through the peripherals of my eyes. He leaned quietly on the wall, staring at me from a distance. I didn't say a word to him.

“Liliana?” He called out, but I thoroughly ignored him.

“I am sorry for earlier” He apologized briefly.

“You can't be mean to me in public and come apologizing in private” I responded, rinsing the dishes.

“Actually, Noah forced me into apologizing to you, I never wanted to” Nathan said nonchalantly.

I carefully dried the dishes and for the first time since he stepped into the room, I looked at him.

“If you didn't want to, you shouldn't have apologized in the first place” Then I proceeded to wipe my hands with a towel.

He didn't say a word, he just stared blankly at me then I walked out of the kitchen, I could literally feel his eyes on me.
