Do you have anyone special?

“Mr. Nelson Divine,” Mr. Mason called out in shock as he hurried toward Alpha Nelson Divine, extending his hand nervously for a handshake.

Whispers filled the air as Grace’s colleagues stared in awe.

“Wow! So it’s true—Mr. Divine is actually Grace’s fiancé!” Anita whispered, her eyes wide with disbelief.

“It’s bad she didn’t tell any of us,” another colleague grumbled, her jealousy clear.

“I’m sure Grace had her reasons for keeping it a secret,” Kiana defended her friend. “Besides, we’re just her colleagues—her private life isn’t our business.”

“You’re right, Kiana. And look at Miss Cindy,” Anita said with a smirk, nodding toward Cindy and Victor. Both were frozen in shock, their smugness from earlier wiped clean. “Guess her mouth has finally been shut.”

Victor turned to Cindy, scowling. “I thought you said there was no way Nelson Divine would come here?”

“I thought so too,” Cindy replied, still reeling. “How could he come… just because she invited him?”

“You’re welcome to my company, Mr. Divine,” Mr. Mason said nervously, his hand outstretched.

“The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Mason,” Alpha Nelson replied with a curt nod as he shook Mr. Mason’s hand.

Cindy, regaining some composure, strutted over with a smile. “Alpha Nelson,” she purred, her voice laced with seduction, “I’ve heard so much about you and how you dominate the business world. It’s truly an honor to have you here.”

At her words, Grace, who had remained silent, choked on her saliva. She coughed violently, drawing everyone’s attention. Alpha Nelson was at her side instantly, patting her back with concern.

“Are you okay?” he asked softly, his voice full of genuine care.

“I’m fine,” Grace managed, still coughing lightly. “Thank you.”

Nelson leaned in close, his lips brushing her ear. “You owe me for this, wife,” he whispered, a teasing smirk playing on his face.

Grace’s cheeks burned bright red, and murmurs rippled through the room.

“Awwh!” several female colleagues gushed in low tones, visibly swooning at the sight.

Cindy, standing off to the side, clenched her fists. Jealousy and rage twisted her expression. How dare she? First, Victor, and now Alpha Nelson? Cindy seethed internally. I won’t let her have him.

“Alpha Nelson,” Cindy interrupted, stepping closer, “if you don’t mind, I’d love to lead the interview. It would be such an honor.”

Alpha Nelson’s eyes darkened instantly. “Who asked you to stand here?” he demanded, his voice low and deadly.

The room fell silent, and the walls seemed to tremble with his anger. Cindy’s confidence crumbled, and she quickly stepped back, avoiding his furious gaze.

“I will only answer questions asked by Grace,” Nelson declared firmly.

Mr. Mason, clearly panicked at the thought of Alpha Nelson leaving, nodded eagerly. “Of course, Mr. Divine. Only Miss Valdez will conduct the interview.”

“Please, sir, we’ll head to the studio now,” Mr. Mason added, leading the group to the broadcasting room.

Inside the studio, Mr. Mason addressed Grace. “You’ll be the one interviewing Mr. Divine. The rest of us will stay out here and watch.”

“Yes, boss,” Grace replied, her hands steady despite the nerves gnawing at her.

“Phillip,” Mr. Mason instructed, “make sure the broadcast is flawless. This is going live.”

“Yes, sir,” Phillip confirmed as he adjusted the cameras.

“Grace,” Mr. Mason called, stopping her as she turned to leave. He handed her a sheet of paper. “These are the questions for the interview. Stick to them, and don’t mess this up.”

Grace took the paper and gave a confident nod. “Don’t worry, sir. I won’t disappoint you. I promise.”

Mr. Mason smiled faintly. “I believe you, Miss Valdez.”

Outside the studio, Cindy’s bitterness boiled over. “That ex-girlfriend of yours is a prostitute,” she snapped at Victor. “It hasn’t even been a week since you broke up, and she’s already flirting with Alpha Nelson Divine.”

Victor’s face darkened as he glared through the glass at Grace and Nelson. “I regret not dumping her sooner,” he growled.

Inside the studio, the air buzzed with tension. Grace turned to Alpha Nelson, who sat comfortably across from her, his posture relaxed but commanding.

“Mr. Divine, are you ready?” Grace asked, attempting to sound professional despite her nerves.

“Yes,” Alpha Nelson replied, his gaze calm and unwavering.

“Camera positions one, two, three, four, five—let’s go,” Phillip signaled, and the live broadcast began.

“Good morning, everyone,” Grace began, her voice clear and composed. “Welcome to Mason Broadcasting Company. I’m your host, Grace Valdez, and today, I have the honor of speaking with none other than Mr. Nelson Divine, the CEO of the Divine Group of Companies.”

“It’s a pleasure to have you here, Mr. Divine, especially since this is your first live interview,” Grace added with a polite smile.

“Thank you, Grace,” Alpha Nelson replied smoothly. “The pleasure is mine.”

“Well, Mr. Divine, if you don’t mind, I have a few questions for you. These are questions from your fans—people who don’t even know what you look like but continue to admire and support you.”

“Go ahead, Miss Grace, but I’ll remind you—I only have thirty minutes,” Nelson said, his tone light but firm.

Outside the studio, Mr. Mason whispered urgently, “Grace, get straight to the questions.” She nodded subtly and continued.

“Mr. Divine, for our first question: People say you don’t like associating with your fans. Is that true?”

Nelson raised an eyebrow. “And who said that? I always associate with my fans. The Divine Group of Companies wouldn’t exist without them. Twice a year, we hold charity events and giveaways. If I didn’t care about my fans, why would they continue to support me?”

Grace smiled. “You’re absolutely right, Mr. Divine. It’s because of your generosity that people admire and believe in you.”

Nelson nodded in acknowledgment.

“Our next question: Reports say you started your business at a very young age. How was that possible?”

Nelson’s expression softened slightly. “Determination and ambition. That’s all it takes. Starting young gave me the time to grow and learn. The best time to build something great is when you’re young and full of dreams.”

“Those are inspiring words, Mr. Divine,” Grace said sincerely. “Now, for our third question: Are you originally from this town? Many people speculate about where you come from. Some even say you’re a ghost.”

Nelson’s lips twitched into an amused smile. “And what do you think, Miss Valdez? Do you think I’m a ghost?” His intense gaze locked onto hers, sending a chill through her.

Grace blinked nervously. “Well… Mr. Divine, my opinion doesn’t matter. The people want to hear the answer from you.”

“Your opinion does matter to me,” Nelson said, leaning slightly forward. “So, tell me—do you think I’m a ghost?”

Grace swallowed hard. “Not… not really, Mr. Divine.”

“Good.” Nelson leaned back, satisfaction evident. “For the record, I am from this town—just a small community. That’s all you need to know.”

Grace nodded, visibly relieved. “Thank you for clearing that up, Mr. Divine.”

“For our final question…” Grace paused, her voice lowering. “Do you have anyone special in your life?”

Alpha Nelson’s lips curled into a smile, his gaze unwavering as he watched Grace’s nervous expression.

“Interesting question,” he said, his voice smooth as silk.
