"Stop your jokes, Abbas!"
"Hey, don't be angry, it's not good for your health. Today is your wedding day, you should be happy, shouldn't you? Not mad for no reason like this."
Rey rubbed his face roughly. Today was indeed his wedding day, but he didn't feel happy at all. How could Rey be happy? If he had to marry someone he didn't love, not even saying hello. Let alone to meet and see her face.
"How can I be happy, Abbas? Imagine if you were in my position. Would you be happy if you were betrayed by someone you love? Especially on my wedding day and I have to marry a woman I don't love at all, even I don't even know her."
"Relax, Rey. I know you can get through all of this. Don't be sad, I'm sure you will find your happiness later. Now, get ready first, all the guests have arrived, they have been waiting for your arrival since earlier."
Abbas patted Rey's shoulder, trying to calm his boss down. Although Abbas worked as Rey's secretary, Abbas had been friends with Rey since they were children.
"Then, what about the woman who will marry me? Has she arrived at the hotel?"
Abbas looked at the circular watch on his wrist. The time was already 9:15 am. The bride should have arrived.
Jonathan's hand signaled that the bride had departed at 9:00 am. It only took about 15 minutes to get to the hotel, because Mansion Wijaya was not far from this hotel.
"They should have arrived," said Abbas.
Rey stood up from his seat, adjusting the edges of his jacket. "Okay, let's go to the ballroom now."
Abbas nodded. "Okay."
Rey and Abbas walked towards the ballroom, with Abbas following from behind.
Arriving in the ballroom, Rey saw that there were already many guests present. They all smiled happily when they looked at Rey, and some even congratulated him on his wedding.
"Rey, please smile a little," whispered Abbas in Rey's ear.
Abbas saw Rey's face with an expressionless face, with no smile of happiness on his face.
Finally, Rey had to show his beautiful smile to every guest who came to congratulate him.
"Where is the bride? Why hasn't she arrived yet?"
Emran had been so restless since earlier. The bride should have arrived by now. However, Emran had not seen Jonathan's presence since earlier.
'Watch out Jonathan, if you lie to me and play with me, I will make sure that your company will bear the consequences,' Emran cursed in his heart.
Emran was so afraid that Jonathan was lying to him. Moreover, all the guests were already present, and they had all been waiting for the arrival of the bride. Emran would be so embarrassed if his son's wedding failed and all his business colleagues would surely laugh at his family.
Emran approached Abbas. "Abbas, what happened? Why hasn't the bride arrived yet?"
"Sir, calm down, I have been informed that they have arrived and the bride is being prepared."
Emran breathed a sigh of relief. Finally the bride had arrived, at least his son's wedding would go smoothly.
A beautiful woman looked at herself in the mirror wearing a beautiful dress that hugged her body perfectly, a lace off shoulder long dress with a long tail in bone white color with some sequins in the chest area.
The makeup she was wearing enhanced her beauty. Moreover, the bright red lipstick on her lips added to her charm.
"I never thought today was my wedding day, and I haven't even met the man who will be my husband," Delisha monologued.
"Sweetheart, are you ready?" Jonathan asked as he entered the room.
"I'm ready, Dad."
"You're so beautiful, my dear."
"Thank you, Dad."
"Oh yeah, don't forget to wear the veil so that no one can see your face."
"Okay, Dad."
Delisha put on a veil to cover her head and face, because the Maduswara family wanted Delisha not to show her face to all the guests. And they could think that the person on the wedding stage was Erlin.
Delisha began to walk to the akad table, and all eyes turned to the bride who was walking on the red carpet.
'Why is everyone looking at me? I'm so nervous,' muttered Delisha to herself.
Rey had been looking only at the religious official since earlier. He didn't even look at the bride next to him for a second.
'Damn! Why do I have to marry a woman I don't love?' Rey cursed inwardly.
Emran asked the religious official not to use a microphone, so when Rey mentioned his bride's name, no one could hear it too clearly.
Emran had also informed everyone that this was only a secret wedding. And the religious official could only comply with Emran's words, he had promised to keep this wedding a secret.
"Forgive me, my dear. Daddy had to sacrifice your happiness." Jonathan wiped away a warm tear that escaped from his eyes. He had to make Delisha his bride to replace Bella, because only Delisha could help him right now.
After the marriage vow was completed, all the guests congratulated both the bride and groom.
Emran could finally breathe easy because among them, no one knew the bride, maybe because Delisha covered her face with a thick veil. So, no one could see her face.
'Huh! Finally this wedding is over. I can breathe a sigh of relief. They won't suspect that the woman is not Erlin,' Emran mumbled to himself.
When all the guests had all left, Rey and Delisha were in a hotel room. Rey had booked this hotel for him and Erlin. But, his plan had to fail because of the betrayal given by Erlin.
Rey removed the mask that was attached to his face, as he had been feeling choked, not just with a clogged nose, but also with such suffocation in his chest area. Rey looked at the girl in front of him.
"You can remove your veil now!" Rey ordered the woman in front of her to remove the veil that covered her face.
"Oh, umm...okay." Delisha began to remove the veil covering her face.
Right when the woman had removed the veil covering her face, Rey was presented with a surprising sight in front of him. Rey's heart skipped a beat when he saw his past, the woman he had wasted in the past was now right in front of him.
"Lisa," murmured Rey, so surprised to see his past, the woman he had wasted before was now right in front of him.
