Midway through their heated argument, Simba suddenly interrupted and ran towards Eryna, clutching a white flower in his tiny hand. He handed the flower to Eryna and then dashed towards Renya, giving her a flower as well. Renya was taken aback by the child's sweet gesture, and her heart filled with affection as she stared at Simba with adoration. Tenderly, she stroked his cheek while speaking in a gentle voice, "He is just like your Simba, Eryna." Eryna's eyes welled up with tears as she heard her sister's words. Despite the chaos of their argument, she was touched by Simba's innocent act of love. The child, unaware of their conversation, scampered off into the fields once more, leaving the sisters to continue their conversation. Renya's voice trembled as she spoke about their past. "I was happy to hear that you were getting married, Eryna. I wanted to come, but dad had locked me up. I was glad to know that you had found happiness, but soon after that, I heard the news of your disappearance. They found Simba's dead body, but they didn't say anything about you. That day, I regretted my decision more than ever." Eryna's big black eyes remained fixed on her sister, her lips pursed tightly together. The wind whipped through her curly black hair, and her figure appeared vulnerable and alone, like a lost soul awaiting redemption. She didn't say anything in response to her sister's apology but continued to listen to her. Renya took a few steps closer and embraced Eryna, wrapping her in a warm hug. Eryna's tears, which she had suppressed for years, finally burst forth, and she wept in her sister's arms. Not far from the flower patches, under the shade of a majestic oak tree, three gravestones stood solemnly. The stones had names etched into them, and Eryna sat beside one of them, tracing her fingers over the engraving. Her long lashes fluttered slightly as she read the words on the stone, "Simba Garcia." Renya watched her sister with a heavy heart, knowing how much Eryna had loved Simba and how deeply she had suffered his loss. Despite their rocky relationship, Renya could feel her sister's pain and wanted to do everything in her power to make it right. Eryna slowly opened her eyes, her gaze shifting towards the other two stones. A half-hearted laugh escaped her lips as she said, "I was amused at first when I saw my gravestone." She was looking at the stone placed beside Simba's, and in beautiful font, her name "Eryna Serene" was inscribed. Renya spoke with guilt, thinking Eryna resented her. "Thanks. Even though I am not beside him, my name will always be by his side. He won't be lonely," Eryna responded, her voice laced with sadness. "Though I will always be lonely without him by my side," she thought to herself as a crystal-like tear fell from her eye. Hopeless eyes stared at Simba's gravestone. She moved closer to the stone and kissed Simba's name lightly. Eryna's lips moved, "Don't look at me like that or I won't be able to collect the broken pieces of myself." Without looking at Renya, Eryna felt her sympathetic gaze on her back. She slowly stood up and looked at the three stones one last time, taking a few steps towards the last one where her mother was buried. Eryna slightly bowed and placed a white flower on her mother's grave. "Mother, I am sorry for not visiting you these years. I will come again," she whispered. As they stood over the elevated ground facing the fields, little Simba was running like a squirrel through the flowers and giggling. Eryna's eyes were calm and content, and Renya too was looking down at him with a slightly perplexed look. She finally broke the silence. "He is not your son, right?" Renya asked with an element of confidence in her voice. "How could he be?" Eryna's lips formed into a smile. "He came to me when my dear ones left me. When I had made up my mind to join them too." The wind blew gently, and the sound of rustling leaves filled the air. The two sisters stood in silence, lost in their thoughts. Eryna's mind drifted back to the day she had lost Simba, and the pain that had followed. She had thought about ending her life many times, but something always held her back. That something was the memory of Simba and the love he had given her. Eryna turned to Renya with a sense of determination. "I don't want to be lonely anymore. I want to live, and I want to be happy. And with Simba's memory by my side, I know I can do it." Renya smiled at her sister, her eyes brimming with tears. "I'll be here for you, always." Eryna fixed her gaze on Renya, and a vivid memory from the past flooded her mind. She had awoke up to the pungent scent of antiseptics lingering in the air, disoriented and with no recollection of the past few days. Her vision was blurred, and the only thing she could make out was the hazy white ceiling above her. "Doctor! The patient is awake!" a voice exclaimed sharply in close proximity to her ear, causing her to furrow her brows. The next moment, someone pried her eyelids open and shone a bright light into her eyes. Overwhelmed and groggy, she eventually lost consciousness. The next thing she remembered was waking up in a hospital ward, struggling to piece together her fragmented memories of the past. The first thing that came to her mind was Simba. She sat up, frantically scanning her surroundings, but he was nowhere to be seen. Her heart sank, and she stumbled out of bed, her bare feet landing on the frigid floor. She scurried around, scouring every nook and cranny for Simba, but to no avail. Finally, she found a nurse at the reception and rushed over to her, pleading for any information on his whereabouts.
