"Come to Mommy, Jai!" I exclaimed happily to my son, who had just begun to walk.
I poured all of my time and love into him. I was overjoyed when he approached me and hugged me. I totally love this child, and it also seems to me that he grew from the love I given only on him.
Mela was also managed to keep in the dark about the truth. Knowing this, my child is truly a child and a virginal child. I can say that in the short time she was my child's nanny, she was extremely dependable.
"Kiera, you can get married now," Mela joked as she tidied up Jai's toys, which were strewn about the living room.
I smiled as I looked at her. "I will marry Mela only if my someone accepts me and my child."
"There are certainly a lot!" You're stunning, and your baby is adorable. ”
I couldn't stop laughing at her response. Mela was somehow close to me. Because she could have been with me, keeping an eye on Jai. Is it because my sons is so adorable that Mela is close to my son?
I had never experienced love before the age of 22. When it comes to that, I'm completely innocent because my mind was probably preoccupied with studying at the time and is now preoccupied with work. With Jai in my life, I feel like I'm getting older. I just poured myself into him.
THREE YEARS PASSED FAST. When I walked into the house, Jai greeted me cheerfully.
"Mommy!" hissed the boy as he ran into me and hugged me tightly.
I returned my son's hug with a smile. "How's my baby?" I ask, kissing his brow. It seems like only yesterday that he was a baby, but my child is now big and very cute.
"Fine!" he says, his eyes still cute. "Did you buy something for me, Mommy?"
I pretended to rattle and turned away from him. "Oh, no! Mommy forgotten to buy baby's favorite food."
"It's okay, Mom," he said as he kissed my cheek.
I locked my gaze on his. Who would have guessed I'd have a child who is so delicate and sweet? He truly is an angel in my life, and I will not let this angel leave me.
"Here it is!" I exclaimed as I quickly lifted the bag containing his favorite burger. "Of course, I can't forget my baby's favorite."
Jai gladly accepted it and hugged me once more. "Thank you!" he said as he drew me in with one hand. "Come on, Mommy. I will show something to you! ”
Smiling, I just followed my son, Mela, who was also smiling as he watched the two of us.
"What exactly is that baby?"
He paused and turned to face me, seeming to resent his words, "Mommy. I'm no longer a baby! Look at me now, I'm a big guy!" He even smiled, which made me laugh.
“Okay-okay! Big fella. Eh, you're still a baby to me.”
He pouted his lips and drew me back in. We were led to the living room, which was littered with paper and crayons. From the top of the small table I bought recently for him so he could write or draw.
He let go of me and reached for something on his desk. "Here!" he exclaimed, handing over a bondpaper with a drawing of a child, mother, and father.
What he showed me astounded me. I didn't know what to say to him right away.
"I'm in the center, Mommy on the left, and Daddy on the right," he said cheerfully as he demonstrated in front of me.
I bowed and stared at him, trying to get a good look at him. "Jai, baby," I said as I examined his drawing. "Your drawing is lovely, but..." I raised my head and stroked his hair. "It's just you and Mommy."
He smiled as he looked at me. "It's okay, Mom," he said, taking the bondpaper I was holding and slowly tearing it where Dad was standing. “Here! It's just Mom and me: we're a happy family!" After that, he hugged me.
I, too, hugged him tightly, my eyes welling up with tears. I'm at a loss for words about having this 'child' in my life. At such a young age, he seemed to understand everything. Mela's eyes welled up with tears as she looked at us. She sneezed and wiped its eyes.
I was in bed with my baby that night. The apartment I rented only had two bedrooms and could only accommodate three of us. Life is normal for someone like me who works for myself and my child.
He fell asleep after I read him a bedtime story. I gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek right away.
When I lay down properly and hugged Jai before going to sleep. But the night struck me as amusing. In my mind's eye, I see Jayar Montevidad. His sharp eyes and thick brows seemed to be directing me to the picture of him that I had hidden in the drawer. I no longer put it under the pillow because I used to do so because I dreamed of him every night.
I opened my eyes and stood up, irritated. I barely caught a glimpse of Jai as he slept soundly before getting out of bed and heading for the drawer to one side.
I stared at the photo for a long time after I took it, and my heart raced again when my gaze met his.
I freely caressed it and carried it to my chest. Before I went back to bed and lay down, I felt a strange joy. That night, I slept soundly while hugging the man's picture.
I was even more taken aback the next day when I noticed my son staring at me. I believe he awoke this morning. He immediately greeted me and planted a kiss on my cheek.
"Did my baby wake up this morning?"
He fixed his gaze on me and pointed to the object I was clutching. Then I realized Jayar's picture was on my chest!
"Is that person, Daddy?"
I simply opened my mouth and smiled. I laid my eye and quickly hid it under the pillow.
"Did he abandon you, Mom?" He went on innocently.
"Y-yes," I'm not sure why that came out of my mouth. I should not have taken it the night before.
Jai quickly wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly. "Don't be worried. Jai is here. I'm not going to abandon Mom like Dad did. ”
My lips were bitten by the innocent words my son uttered. I'm not his mother, but I can't help but cry. This is probably how my friend would feel if she were here. He is a very kind child who has the brain of an old man when he thinks.
"Thank you, baby," I say hesitantly.
"OUR NEW MANAGER, Mr. Esan Fobres," introduces us to all of Mr. Ong's employees.
Everyone greeted the young and gorgeous manager in front of us today with open arms. I felt a little admiration for him when I first saw him, but I didn't notice.
"Ms. Kiera Antonio, you have a new boss." Mr. Ong turned to face me and introduced me to the man.
When I shook hands with Mr. Fobres, I smiled brightly. "Welcome to the company, Sir."
He smiled back and welcomed me warmly. "Thank you very much, Ms. Antonio." ”
I'll admit that the new boss I'll be working for is quite attractive. When she looked at him, his skin was white and his eyes were dim. I can't deny that I like the man in front of me, but my heart feels like it's joking. It's ironic, because Jayar is the one shouting.
"I believe I will want to work on this, Mr. Ong, because my secretary is lovely!"
I responded with a small smile and withdrew my hand in response to what he said. If I'm not mistaken, he appears to be playing a role in my life. And I was unwavering in my suspicion. When I arrived at work the next day, there was a flower basket on my desk.
I eagerly picked up the nearby card and read it.
'To the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen.'
Esan's
My smile drew on my lips, but it vanished as quickly as it appeared, and I gasped. I fixed my gaze on the engraved letters. Yet another man. I tossed the card back into the basket and stared at the flower on the table. The flower is lovely, but... I'm out of breath once more.
How many men have tried to impress me only to turn back when they learned about my son? I can't count on one hand anymore. For me, I'm hiding everything perfectly, and there's nothing wrong with that. If a man truly loves me, she should accept me regardless of whether I have a child or what I have done in the past.
In my case, I simply pretended to be a single mother with a son, but no man continues to pursue me. Because I'm not sure if I'm already a disgrace in their eyes, unworthy of love. The boys are superb! In some ways, I am grateful to my son. I can see who the real man is for me because of him. The man who will accept both Jai and me. The man who will love me despite the fact that I have a child with him. The man who will not be embarrassed if he learns I have a child.
"Do you like the flowers?" Esan entered from outside, a smile on his face. Even when he is staring, his gorgeous eyes are smiling.
"Yes, they're beautiful," I said cheerfully.
"Beautiful... just like you," he said, suddenly serious.
I could feel the warmth on both of my cheeks. It's not uncommon for me to receive compliments from men, but I can't stop blushing. That compliment was especially appreciated by my new boss.
"Ms. Antonio, may I invite you to lunch later?"
For a brief moment, I was stunned and looked at him. Lunch? Will I make room for the handsome manager in front of me right now? Will I allow another suitor into my life? What if he's the same as the others who have tried to impress me? But how do I know I'm not going to attempt it? Perhaps he'll accept Jai. This is most likely the time for me to focus on myself.
I agreed with his offer and nodded. He calmly walked to his desk, his smile widening. As I concentrate on the tasks I need to complete today. I focused first on the flower in front of me, then on the task at hand. I cracked a grin.
Mr. Fobres and I dined at an upscale restaurant. We're both employed by the same company, so it's only a short distance away.
He is considerate. That was the first thing that came to mind when I thought of him. He made sure to put a dish and rice on my plate while we were eating. The others in the room kept staring at us, but I didn't mind. Aside from being kind, he was also very gentle. Ideal for a man who could be my partner. He also tells stories. I didn't feel deprived at all while we ate. I was immediately relieved, and he was devoid of arrogance.
