A Warm Welcome

Onika’s POV

I quickly settled into my new room, which was beyond beautiful. My new room was a serene oasis, designed for comfort and relaxation. The queen-size bed, adorned with plush pillows and a soft, white duvet, was placed against a wall painted a soothing light gray. A cozy couch set, upholstered in a rich velvet fabric, sat facing the TV, creating a inviting nook for unwinding. A sleek glass center table held a few favorite books and a vase with fresh flowers, adding a pop of color to the room.

The bathroom, a true haven, boasted a large tub, perfect for long soaks, and a separate walk-in shower with a rainfall showerhead. The walls, tiled in gleaming white marble, seemed to glow in the soft light.

The walk-in closet, a fashionista's dream, was spacious enough to accommodate my entire wardrobe, with ample shelves, drawers, and hanging rods. The balcony, a peaceful retreat, offered a small table and chairs, perfect for sipping coffee or enjoying a good book, surrounded by a lush garden and a majestic umbrella providing shade.

After about 3-4 hours of unpacking, I took a relaxing bath and changed into comfortable nightwear in my closet. Feeling hungry, I headed downstairs to find something to eat. In the kitchen, I found Raelynn and Haley preparing a snack and chatting. I joined them, pouring myself a bowl of cereal and sitting at the kitchen island.

As we chatted, Pat and May joined us, and we introduced ourselves, sharing a bit about our backgrounds. Just then my phone beeped, it showed a notification from my email and it was a message from the company, tell me to come in on Monday as early as 7 am for briefing.

I was a bit taken aback and was wondering what would be my faith in the nearest future.

Then suddenly , May turned to me and said, "And you're the new assistant, right? I've heard the boss is... intense. He's like a fire-breathing dragon, always demanding more and never satisfied."

"I've heard that too," Haley chimed in, her eyes wide with excitement. "But I've also heard he's really charming”.

I laughed, feeling a bit more at ease. "That's one way to put it," I replied, smiling.

The night went on, filled with laughter and conversation, until we retired to our rooms, ready to face the adventures ahead.

........

The next day, I woke up to the sound of my alarm at 6:30 on a Sunday morning. I got out of bed, unable to sleep anymore, and took my yoga mat to the balcony to start my exercises. After about an hour, I finished up and went into the bathroom to take a bath and wash off the sweat.

When I was done, I dried myself up, did my hair, put on a short and crop top, and slipped on some sneakers. I checked my phone and saw that it was still early, so I decided to go for a stroll. I walked out of the estate and took in the beauty of Paris, taking videos and selfies as I listened to music on my AirPods. I walked for about an hour and then decided to head back home.

On my way back, I spotted a cafe and decided to stop in for breakfast. I approached the counter and placed my order. When I finished, I paid and turned to leave, but immediately bumped into someone. I was face to face with the most handsome man I had ever laid eyes on. His looks earned him stares from both girls and boys alike. I was lost in his deep blue eyes, which seemed like oceans.

This darker haired angel was making me wish all sort of nasty things, I could feel myself getting wet as I imagine him touching me and the way I would moan under his touch. I could feel my heart racing and my palms getting sweaty.

I suddenly snapped back to reality when I heard him speak. "If you're done drooling, get the fuck out of my way," he said with a thick French accent that was laced with a very cold expression as he shoved me out of the way.

I was taken aback by the rude comment but stood my ground and spoke up, "You spilled coffee all over me and didn't even apologize!" He turned to me, his glare intimidating, but I didn't back down. "You spilled coffee on me, and you couldn't say sorry?" I repeated. "If you weren't so blind, you wouldn't need an apology. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have better things to do with my time," he replied, shoving past me.

I watched him walk pass me, still trying to process what had just happened.
