Mysterious Powers: The Plight of the Alpha Princess

Ryder's Point of View

"What's happening? Why do you want her to run from here, Beta Joseph?" I asked, feeling confused.

Joseph appeared tense and questioned, "My king, why are you here?"

"Evangeline is my mate. I came here to talk to her," I replied.

"Then take her out of here and don't let Jarvis see her or even smell her," Joseph said, adding to my confusion.

Seeing my bewildered expression, Joseph explained, "She is the Alpha princess, the Alpha's Blessed Daughter."

Upon hearing this, I took Ava's hand and, before she could respond, we vanished from the hospital and reappeared in front of a cave.

"What the hell? How did you bring me here?" Ava screamed.

"I am a vampire, and besides that, I am the king," I explained.

She stared at me in shock, and I couldn't help but admire her beautiful royal blue eyes, long waist-length moon shadow-black hair, heart-shaped kissable lips, and perfectly shaped figure.

"You shouldn't have brought me here. My family is alone there, and they would be in danger, and... Oh god, what do I do now?" Ava worriedly exclaimed.

She looked distressed when Mark suddenly appeared. She ran to him and hugged him tightly, and he embraced her back. This made me growl at him.

"Calm down, he is my brother," Evangeline said, soothing my anger.

"Ava, now you have to go to the vampire world with Ryder," Mark said.

"What? Hell no! I don't even know him, and apart from that, I want to go to mom and dad," Evangeline protested.

"My baby sister, you know you have to go, and I will bring mom and dad to you, believe me," Mark reassured Evangeline.

"Oh well, I knew that you would have brought her here," I heard Jarvis say as I turned around.

I quickly positioned myself in front of Evangeline, but Mark pulled me back and instructed, "Take her. Guard her. Protect and keep her safe."

Mark handed Evangeline's hand to me, and I held it tightly. As we were about to leave, she suddenly pulled away and threw a ball of fire between Mark and Jarvis.

The fireball caused a blast that threw all of us back. As the smoke cleared, I searched for Evangeline but couldn't see anything. I was terrified that something might have happened to her, especially with Jarvis present.

While looking for Mark, I accidentally collided with someone and slipped from the cliff, but fortunately, someone grabbed my hand. When I looked up, I saw Mark holding onto me.

"As much as I hate you, I don't want you to die because you are my sister's mate, and she needs you the most now," Mark said, about to pull me up. However, Jarvis intervened, causing Mark's grip to loosen, and I slipped from his hand in pain.

"Ryder!" I heard both Evangeline and Mark scream. As I descended, I noticed a large rock below, but strangely, I couldn't use my powers. Just before I was about to hit the rock, a peculiar golden sparkling smoke surrounded me and lifted me back up. While being pulled upward, I collided with a tree branch, leaving a deep scratch mark on my face.

When I reached safety, I saw Evangeline standing there. She had been pulling me up, and her eyes were glowing golden, resembling the sparkling smoke. Her eyes were no longer their usual royal blue color; they burned like fire.

She gently placed me on the ground and gently touched my face, causing the scratch mark from the tree branch to vanish as if it had never been there. Mark pulled me aside, and just as I was about to protest, he uttered something astonishing.

"Ava is no longer in control of herself. Her powers have taken over, and she's aware of her actions now. Even if we try to assist her, she won't allow anyone to help. Let's wait for her here," he said.

As I turned around, I realized that Evangeline had disappeared.

"Evangeline!" I called out, searching for her.

"Look up there," Mark pointed into the air, and I followed his gaze to witness Evangeline soaring with her magnificent, shimmering white wings.

"What? How is this possible? How can she fly?" I exclaimed.

"Because she is blessed. Why do you think Jarvis is after her?" Mark replied, and I gazed up at Evangeline in awe.

Evangeline gracefully moved her hand in a circular motion seven times and then directed the golden, sparkling circles towards Jarvis. He attempted to flee, but the circles formed a fiery barrier around him, trapping him within. Evangeline descended and stood in front of Jarvis. Suddenly, a golden rod materialized in her hand, which she had concealed behind her back.

Evangeline snapped her fingers, causing the circles around Jarvis to dissipate. Before he could react, she struck him on the head with the golden rod.

Jarvis clutched his head in pain, attempting to reach for Evangeline, but he stumbled and fell unconscious. Evangeline then snapped her fingers again, and Jarvis found himself bound by chains. With another snap, the flames surrounding her vanished. She took a step back, clutching her head.

Mark hurried to her side, catching her before she could touch the ground.

"Ava... Ava, wake up, little sister," Mark pleaded, trying to rouse her.

"We need to take her to the hospital," I said, lifting her up and rushing towards the nearby road. Fortunately, Mark's car was parked there. He quickly started the engine, and I placed Evangeline in the car. We sped off to the hospital. Upon arrival, Evangeline was immediately taken to the emergency ward, where an oxygen mask was placed over her mouth.

What could have caused Evangeline to lose consciousness, and why is her condition so severe?
