Lorenzo, his assistant, inquired, "Boss, what's happening?"
Lucas coolly replied while walking towards the company's parking lot, "The people who were involved in drugging Victoria have been captured. I will use them to regain favor with the Casellas."
No one dared to look at them as they passed by. This was the effect when their employer, known as the Tyrant Boss, passed by -- everyone in the company nodded and no one dared to meet his gaze.
While getting into the car, Lucas asked, "Why did Victoria seem to know something when I mentioned that I am the chairman of the Luca Group?" his questioning tone filled with doubt.
Lorenzo smiled, "Boss, the Luca Group is well-known everywhere because of the infamous Tyrant Boss, and it is one of the leading companies in Rome. She might have just heard the company's name, that's why she was surprised to learn that you are the boss." Lorenzo answered.
"Makes sense," Lucas replied before nodding.
"Don't think too much, boss. Your wife is different from other women," Lorenzo advised.
"Wife my ass!" Lucas retorted with a hint of frustration.
...
A few minutes later, Lucas and Lorenzo arrived at the old building. In every corner of the building, they could see the guards in black suits, clearly professional and well-trained individuals. As they got out of the car and entered the building, the guards at the entrance saluted them. "Just guard the entrance," Lucas said as he stepped inside.
He climbed the stairs to the second floor of the building. In a room, two guards stood by the door. When they saw Lucas, one of the guards opened the door and respectfully greeted him. Lucas and Lorenzo entered the room and saw three men tied to chairs with sacks over their heads. One of the guards brought a chair for Lucas to sit in front of the three men.
"Remove the sacks," Lucas ordered, and immediately, the sacks were taken off their heads. The three men looked around, trying to figure out where they were. When they saw Lucas sitting in front of them with a cold expression, they shuddered.
"You there, sir, what do you need?" the tattoed man asked in fear.
"Why did you bring us here?" the bald man questioned.
"Don't you know why you're here?" Lucas calmly inquired.
The three hesitated, seemingly confused, "Victoria Casella," Lucas gently said, noting the puzzled expressions of the three.
The three looked at each other, "The woman last night?! What does she have to do with you?" the bald man asked in a panic.
"It doesn't matter what our relationship is. What I want to know is why you did that," Lucas said calmly but with a hint of murderous intent.
The bald man was frightened and immediately responded, "No, we didn't drug her. We were just chasing after her, which is why she ran. But we couldn't catch up because she suddenly disappeared, and we don't know where she went," the bald man explained nervously.
"You didn't see her because I was the one who crossed paths with her!" Lucas said coolly.
'If it was someone else who had crossed paths with her, would they have had the courage to face me?' Lucas wondered to himself if he hadn't been there that day.
The three trembled and asked for forgiveness, "Boss, we were just following the instructions of a woman. She said the woman was her sister and was looking for someone to accompany her at night, so we chased her," said a man with a tattoo on his face.
"Do you know this woman?" Lucas asked again. The man with a tattoo shook his head, "We just met her last night, she said she would pay us if we successfully carried out her plan. She left her number and told us to call her once we're done with the job," he explained.
Lucas thought for a moment, knowing that the eldest lady of Casella was the woman they were referring to. Since the three were clueless, he believed they would follow his orders.
"Call her and tell her to meet you tonight at the hotel for the payment. Also, inform her that you have footage and photos of her sister while she was working," Lucas instructed.
"But boss, we don't have any photos or videos," another man said.
"Idiot! We'll just pretend," scolded the bald man to their foolish companion.
"Alright boss, we'll do it. But what's next if she agrees?" asked the man with the tattoo.
Lucas smiled coldly, pulled out a package, and threw it in front of him. "This will hit harder," he said with malicious intent.
"Boss, do you want us to drug her!?" The tattooed man asked in surprise.
"Drugs? That's bad, it's illegal!" their foolish companion exclaimed.
"Useless! Shut up!" the bald man scolded, wanting to choke their foolish companion.
"Do to her the job she's asking for, I'll double the payment, and I'll prepare your tickets out of the country so she can't come back to you," Lucas said with a smile, sending shivers down the spines of the three.
"I accept the job," they all said in unison, although one of their companions was clearly clueless, but smart when it comes to work.
"Make sure the job is clean, and spread the pictures and videos on the internet," Lucas instructed before telling the guards to release them.
"Let's meet here tonight after you finish the job," he added, throwing a paper with a contact number before walking away with Lorenzo.
...
In Lucas's villa, the two servants were ready to immerse Victoria again when the majordomo suddenly entered the comfort room.
"Celia, what are you doing!?" he shouted upon seeing the head of the servants who ordered them to submerge Victoria.
The two servants immediately released Victoria after hearing Lucas's butler.
"Uncle Moon, you're here?!" Celia said in surprise upon seeing the butler.
"As the head of the servants, is it your duty to bully? Did the master order to immerse that woman?" Mr. Moon said coldly.
Celia awkwardly smiled and didn't know how to explain. "We were just joking," she said because she couldn't think of any other reason.
The butler knew that Celia was becoming arrogant because he always indulged her and didn't report her to the master as she was the daughter of his friend, "leave!" He said firmly, "take the lady to her room, treat her wounds and her swollen face," he ordered to the other two servants.
Celia emerged from the comfort room, feeling offended. 'Who is this woman? She was even given her own room in the villa by master. I will surely have you kicked out of here,' she thought, feeling jealous.
Immediately, the two servant followed and carried weak Victoria to her room.
When Victoria entered the room, she immediately fell asleep after being treated by two servants.
It was already late when Lucas arrived home from the company and noticed that Victoria was not around. "Where is Victoria?" He asked coldly.
"Sir, she's in her room," replied a servant with bowed head.
Lucas quickly went up to the second floor where Victoria's room was after noticing something wrong in the servant's expression.
Knock! Knock!
He knocked twice but no one answered. He knocked again but still no response. He touched the doorknob and realized it wasn't locked. "I'm coming in," he said coldly before turning the doorknob and entering.
He was surprised by what he saw. He walked towards the sleeping Victoria, still with swelling on her lips and face, and traces of wounds on her lips. Lucas clenched his fist and felt pity for Victoria, especially after learning from Lorenzo about the difficulties she had faced in life.
He didn't wake Victoria up but quietly left the room. He smiled as he walked down the stairs before calling all the servants. He sat on the sofa while all the servants gathered, and when everyone was present, he spoke in a calm tone, trying to contain his anger. "Who did that to Victoria?" He asked with a smile.
Celia saw that the master seemed pleased with what she had done, so she quickly answered, "Sir, I did it. I punished her as she deserved. I slapped her more than ten times before I drowned her in the bathtub," she proudly said.
Upon hearing this, the smile vanished from Lucas's face, replaced by anger. He exuded the intention of killing, which was caused by the chilling atmosphere.
