Obsession for the Boss
With a tender closeness, he kissed away her tears, his gaze fixated on her enticingly red lips. Unable to resist any longer, Mia let her obsession for Harry overcome her reserve. She reciprocated the kiss, their tongues dancing together in a passionate intertwining. Mia's hands found their way around his neck as their lips explored one another's.
Breathless and gasping for air, Mia pulled away from the kiss. Overwhelmed with guilt, she realized the implications of her actions. Vanessa, her best friend
Mia's heart sank with guilt as she thought about Vanessa's feelings for Harry. Losing her best and only friend was something she couldn't bear. Just as she mustered the courage to speak up, Mia suddenly bowed her head and bolted towards a waiting taxi, desperate to escape the situation. She boarded the taxi without looking back, heading straight home.
Arriving at her house late in the evening, Mia found dinner already set on the table, and her aunt eagerly awaiting her return. She hugged her aunt tightly, relieved to see a familiar face. "Mia, you came home late. Was everything alright?" her aunt asked, concern etched on her face. Unsure of how to explain the events of the day, Mia decided to keep her troubles to herself. "Nothing much, Aunt. There were no taxis around, so I had to walk quite a distance before finding one," Mia lied, not wanting to worry her aunt. With a heavy heart, she joined her aunt at the table to eat.
As they began their meal, a brief silence settled over them, broken only by the clinking of glasses and plates. In an attempt to change the subject, her aunt asked about Mia's new job. "Mia, tell me more about your job," her aunt inquired with anticipation. Mia let out a small chuckle before replying, her gaze fixed on the crackling fireplace. "Well, Aunt...," she trailed off, lost in her thoughts. Her aunt's concerned voice brought her back to reality. "Mia, I think you should go wash up and rest," Aunt Emily suggested gently. Mia nodded and headed to her room, pondering over her strange behavior.
In her room, Mia undressed and entered the bathroom, memories of Harry flooding her mind. She vividly recalled his confession, their shared kiss - her first kiss. The thought alone made her blush deeply, as if he were right there with her. She touched her lips, giggling at the memory. Lost in her reverie, she finally finished bathing and dressed for bed.
Settling onto her bed, Mia considered calling Harry, unsure of what to say. Just as she reached for her phone, it beeped with a message. She sat up eagerly, hoping it was from him, only to be disappointed by an unknown number.
She tapped on the message, revealing an unexpected invitation. "It's the owner of the drinks you bought. You can resume anytime you want, but don't waste my time. Come to this address: Alex Rubies, 7 Storm City Road, Harnsberg." Mia immediately remembered the man and her promise to work as his personal assistant.
" Uh", she grolwed as she rolled her eyes after realizing she needed to reduce her hours at the supermarket, she had to visit this new workplace the following day, even though it wasn't a scheduled work day.
Lost in her thoughts, Mia's phone beeped once again, this time with a message from Harry. Her heart leapt with joy as she read it. Opening the message, she quickly replied, assuring him that she was okay and explaining her rushed departure earlier. Their conversation turned serious as Harry asked a question that caught Mia off guard. "Mia, did you mean what you said? Do you love me?" With milk almost spewing out of her mouth from shock, Mia blushed uncontrollably and hesitated to respond. Wanting to appear composed, she took a deep breath before typing her answer. "Yes, Harry, yes." With her message sent, Mia anxiously awaited his reply.
Before long, a response from Harry appeared on her screen. His excitement was palpable as he asked Mia if she wanted to be his girlfriend. Overwhelmed with emotion, Mia struggled to find her voice. She gulped, attempting to compose herself before replying. As time passed, she finally managed to type out her response. "Yes, Harry, I would love to." Relief washed over her as she hit send, followed by an overwhelming sense of happiness. Mia couldn't believe she had a boyfriend and it was Harry. They continued texting, setting up a date for the following evening, and their conversation ended with sweet goodnight messages.
Mia collapsed onto her bed, overcome with joy. She hugged her pillow toy bear tightly, falling asleep with a huge smile on her face. The next morning, the sun's warm rays gently woke her, and Mia opened her eyes slowly, fluttering her eyelashes like butterfly wings. Always breathtakingly beautiful, she couldn't help but beam with smiles as she realized she now had a boyfriend. Today was a free day, with no rushing or responsibilities, and she decided to visit Vanessa.
Upon her arrival at Vanessa's home, Mia immediately noticed something was missing. The usual sight of children running around and causing a ruckus was absent. Knocking on the door yielded no response, so Mia reluctantly decided to enter. Vanessa had previously mentioned that if no one answered the door, she should feel free to come in.
As Mia stepped inside, she was met with an eerie silence. She glanced around the house, but there was no sign of Vanessa. The interior decor of the house was exquisite, reflecting Vanessa's impeccable taste. Despite both Mia and Vanessa being average individuals, Vanessa's home exuded a sense of elegance.
Calling out Vanessa's name yielded no response. Mia contemplated leaving, but then heard strange noises coming from Vanessa's room. Assuming it was simply Vanessa attempting to play a prank on her, Mia made her way upstairs. When she reached the room, she hesitated to barge in, feeling compelled to heed a voice of reason. Instead, she peeped through a small gap in the partially closed door.
