Katherine’s POV

It’s dark and cold. Is it blood? Yeah, I’m drowning in blood. It’s suffocating me. No! Help! I should run! But How?

”There’s no way to run! HAHAHA!”

“NOOOOOOOOO!!!”

*gasp*

Again. For the nth time, I woke up in the middle of the night from a terrible nightmare. Why is there always someone chasing while trying to kill me even in my sleep? I shook my head and pulled myself up to get a glass of water from the kitchen. It was almost dawn and I knew it would be hard for me to sleep again. Another sleepless night, perhaps. I sighed, maybe I should take an afternoon nap next time to make up for these never-ending sleepless night. Or I’d end up looking like an old lady with my haggard look. Nah, I didn’t wish that to happen.

After chugging down a glass of water, I headed back to my room. I sat on the edge of my bed when I suddenly felt my heart pounding. I subconsciously pressed my palm on my chest. It was beating so hard, so fast. I felt like losing my breath, an overwhelming feeling.

‘lubdub-badub-labdub-badub’

Since I’m used to this feeling, somehow I managed to handle the panic attack. I didn’t know why it happened but after waking up in the middle of the night, my heartbeat started to beat rapidly just like this. I closed my eyes while I’m trying to calm my nerves. I remembered the nightmare I had earlier. I didn’t want to admit it but every time I had a nightmare, it usually happened in real life. Like some sort of prophecy… a bad omen that I never wanted to see if possible.

I opened my eyes when I sensed the wind coming from the window. I could feel the chills running through my spine. No, this wasn’t happening. If I wasn’t mistaken and I hope I am, if it was what happened in my nightmare, then I knew what would happen next. He was outside. Silently waiting for a chance to do what he wanted.

I took a deep breath, trying my best to calm my heartbeat. Because the more it beat erratically, the more I was getting myself into trouble.

His’ POV

I couldn’t stop myself. The moment I heard a familiar faint sound, I couldn’t resist but follow this marvelous music. My body turned hotter the more the sound became audible and clear. I found myself in front of the same house again. I had been constantly hearing this sound for several nights. It made me sleepless, exhausted and there was an inexplicable craving for something I could not tell what exactly I was craving for. But I honestly love this sound that I could not help myself but visit the place all over again. 

I stared at the huge fancy mansion outside the city. It was where the sound came from. Specifically on this balcony. I knew I would be able to find out what was the thing that could produce such music to my ears if I could go inside this room.

‘I can’t hold it back anymore,’ I whispered to myself.

I clenched my fists trying to get a hold of myself. I had never felt like this before. My body heated up as I peeked inside the house and was greeted by her perfect curves. The woman suddenly moved on her own, taking off her clothes. I could not exactly tell if it was perfect since I hadn’t seen a naked woman before. Oh, I’d touched numerous women but never really cared about their bodies at all. I may not be able to compare it but I know it was in a good shape, my eyes wouldn’t lie.

Just who is she?

I didn’t feel just like sucking her dry. I want to do more about that body of hers, too.

Did she dare to invite me? Just who is she?

In that case, I wouldn’t disappoint her. I’d give her what she wanted and I’d satisfy all my desires.

It wouldn’t be that cruel right?

After all, she initiated it.

Katherine’s POV

‘Why?’ I asked myself.

I didn’t know how it happened but I suddenly lost control of my body. My hands shivered as I slowly unbuttoned my shirt. I tried to stop myself but there was an unknown force behind me that made me do this. Once my shirt was removed, I moved my hands and pulled my shorts down together with my lacy underwear. I could feel the cold wind touching my skin when I was completely naked.

My eyes started to tear up when I felt the presence inside my room. Someone was staring at me. Just the exact scene from my nightmare. I thought I could change what happened but I couldn’t. He got me completely under control, helpless.

I knew that any time soon, someone will attack me. I encouraged myself not to give up when my feet started to move on their own. It was like I was trapped, manipulated like a puppet. I walked towards the balcony when I realized that it was open. I made sure it was locked before I went to bed tonight but I didn’t even know that someone had already opened it.

I was almost outside when a figure of a man showed up in front of me. He got scarlet eyes, the same eyes I saw in my sleep. He moved closer to me and held on to my shoulders.

He didn’t do anything for a while until his grip tightens.

“What do you think you’re doing?” I could tell that he’s pursing his lips. Trying to hold back himself.

I could not utter a word instead, my body voluntarily moved. Before I could even try to stop myself to do anything I was sure I’d regret, my hands copped his face closer as my lips touched his. A few seconds later, we both shared a warm and painful kiss. The intensity of heat against our lips increased as the bitter taste of blood seeped through my taste buds.
