Chapter 1

Anabia's POV:

"Dadoo ( Grandpa)" I screamed, he was wincing from the pain. Tears were slipping from my eyes.

"Bia" he looked at me with a weak smile.

I held his hands and laid down my head on his chest. His shirt was soaking my tears.

"Bia, I'm sorry. I can't fulfill the promise I did to your parents. Remember, I love you so much, please forgive me" his words pierced my soul.

"Dadoo, don't say like this. You'll be fine. I can't imagine my life without you dadoo, you're my everything " I kissed his forehead and wiped my tears.

I, Anabia Waqar, a 15 yo simple girl whose life roamed around only her school and her dadoo. I lost my parents in a car accident when I was only three years old. My dadoo was the only relation for me. He raised me with so much love that I couldn't describe in words.

I was too shy to have any friends My dadoo was my only best friend, my dad, my mom. In simple words, he was my life. Seriously, I can't live without him even for a single second.

And seeing him in such a state was killing me. Six months ago we discovered that he had a brain tumor and he was in the last stage.

I could see the worry in his eyes for me. He was worried that who would look after me after his death. I tried to cheer him up as I had faith in my Allah that He won't do anything to my dadoo as he was the only pillar of my life.

But one week ago, his condition gone worse. He hardly spoke anything. He just stared at me with blank eyes.

"Would he left me?" My heart shivered from this thought. "Keep your faith in Allah" my inner voice calmed me and I closed my eyes.

I did my ablution and sat on the prayer mat. I offered nafil salah and started reciting the Quran. This helped me a lot. Soon I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up and saw the clock. I slept for two hours. I rushed towards dadoo. He was sleeping too. I sighed and made my way towards the kitchen. I made a cup of tea for myself and spread some butter on bread. I didn't eat since yesterday. I sipped my tea with bread, soon my appetite was full. I placed cup and plate in the sink and called Rahila Bua.

"Bua, please make some soup for dadoo and cook whatever you want for dinner " I said in a low tone. She looked at me with teary eyes and hugged me.

"Bua" I broke into tears.

"Be strong Bia " she caressed my back.

"Bua, I can't live without him" I sobbed.

"Bia, you're my brave girl. Please don't cry dear" she pecked my forehead and started collecting ingredients for soup.

Bua was our maid, but she was like a family. She was like a mother for me and a sister for dadoo. She was the second most important person of my life after my dadoo. Her family lived in a village and she was living with us in Delhi.

After feeding dadoo, I wiped his mouth from the towel and smiled.

"Bia, I've called Uncle Afzal. He'll be arriving soon. Please check for the dinner with Rahila." He said with a weak voice.

"Afzal Uncle, but I don't have any uncle right?" I furrowed my brows in confusion.

"He is my nephew. He lives in London with his family. He was the best friend of your dad" his lips curled into a small smile.

"Ohh" I nodded my head and rushed to the kitchen to inform Bua.
