A day later.
A young man with a pocket full of silver coins and two strange pouches hanging from his right waist arrived at an unguarded gate. Wearing light blue clothes, the young man who looked 17 years old with a sword on his left waist was no one else but Ye Chen.
After a day's journey from Dayun City, Ye Chen went to a broken Taoist temple and finally arrived here. Looking at the open temple gates, and occasionally finding some sick people coming and going, he hoped that the rumors circulating were true.
Stepping through the gate, Ye Chen immediately discovered that this temple had a fairly large courtyard and several buildings that were damaged due to age or due to some unexpected things.
Ye Chen also found ordinary people in the yard, and these average people were coming for treatment. The center of people coming and going was a building that looked better and bigger than the others.
Walking there among the crowd of sick people, Ye Chen found a young man who was even easier than himself coming out of the house with a faint smile, and saw the person who would be treated next.
But when the young man accidentally discovered Ye Chen's figure, his face changed, and hurriedly came to him.
Ye Chen himself also frowned and a hint of excitement appeared when he saw the young man, because from his body, Ye Chen vaguely discovered a very thin aura fluctuation, which was even thinner than his aura. However, this discovery proves that this place is not ordinary.
"Senior, is there anything you need to ask?" The young man in white immediately asked and greeted when he arrived in front of Ye Chen.
When he saw the way of greeting and calling "senior" given to him, Ye Chen was finally sure he had gone to the right place.
But he couldn't help but ask when he heard the young man's question in front of him, "Did you know that I was coming?"
"Of course not, senior," the young man answered quickly and added, "But senior isn't the only one who came here to ask teacher something."
"Not the only one, does that mean there are others?" Ye Chen couldn't help but ask again when he found out that he had finally found people like him.
"There is, but senior, this is not the place to talk. If senior wishes to ask further, I will bring you to see my Master."
Ye Chen nodded, and invited the young man named Yu Jiyun to lead him through the treatment center, until finally the two of them arrived at a house that was not too big, but clean and well maintained.
Went inside, and sat on the bench that was there, Yu Jiyun started serving some steamed buns and brewing tea.
After finishing, Yu Jiyun said, "Master is practicing in the cave behind the temple, if senior wants, I will call him, or if you are in a hurry, I can take you to see him immediately."
"There's no rush. After a long journey, I need to rest." Ye Chen answered and felt very happy with the way the young man took care of him.
Yu Jiyun nodded in understanding and said before leaving, "Then I won't bother anymore and immediately call the teacher."
After Yu Jiyun left, Ye Chen looked around the room and found that there were many calligraphy writings hanging on the walls and several books which were Buddhist scriptures. In several corners he also found a photo with the incense running out, and there were writings and names written on the right and left sides.
"Jin Shang, ancestor of Taoling temple."
Reading the introduction, Ye Chen guessed that this young man who looked 25 years old must be a very important person to Yu Jiyun. With incense and a board that appears to be a place for offerings and respect, it is likely that Jin Shang is dead or has left the temple.
Apart from that, Ye Chen also found a room that seemed to be a room, and was sure that this was actually a residence for Yu Jiyun.
"Friend Tao, have you been waiting for a long time? Forgive this old one for not welcoming him in person."
Who knows how much time had passed, a man's warm voice suddenly came from outside the door. A moment later a man around fifty years old, looking calm with a faint smile on his face appeared in Ye Chen's field of vision.
Looking at it at a glance, Ye Chen guessed that this man was Yu Jiyun's teacher, but he didn't expect that the bald man with a yellow shawl and a yellow robe attached to his body was actually a monk.
But Ye Chen couldn't take it lightly, and immediately offered a greeting, "There's nothing old but years of ignorance. Senior doesn't need to apologize, I should be the one apologizing for coming suddenly."
The man smiled gently at Ye Chen's answer, and began to introduce himself, "Friend Daoist doesn't need to call me senior. We are in the same world, just call this old man Brother Guo Biyun."
In the martial arts world, strength was respected, and even though this Guo Biyun had second level qi refining cultivation, one level higher than Ye Chen, they were still at the same qi refining stage, so they were equal.
Ye Chen also knew a little about martial arts rules and didn't refuse to start introducing himself, "Ye Chen, Brother Guo Biyun can address me as brother, or little brother Chen."
Guo Biyun nodded and the two began to sit facing each other. Without waiting for Ye Chen to ask, Guo Biyun also immediately said, "If Brother Chen is looking for where the Immortals are, you are in the right place."
"Does Brother Guo Biyun know?" Ye Chen immediately became excited when he heard those words.
Guo Biyun nodded and with a calm expression explained, "Brother Chen must be a casual cultivator who accidentally encountered good fortune and was finally able to cultivate immortality. This old one won't question it, but Brother Chen is definitely a little confused, why after searching for some time and even years have not seen any other cultivators. Am I right?"
Ye Chen nodded seriously, and couldn't help but confirm Guo Biyun's guess. For some time now, even though he had tried searching around, he had never found any other than Siqing Village and Guo Biyun himself.
Ye Chen was confused about it, but there were definitely some written rules that he didn't know, and Guo Biyun should know some since he started discussing them.
Guo Biyun indeed knew about it and spoke again, "Actually, there is indeed a rule from powerful cultivators that cultivators like us are not allowed to interfere in the affairs of mortals. If cultivators like us interfered in mortal affairs, there would definitely be chaos, and naturally powerful people from certain sects or powers would make their move if they found out."
The sect and rules that Guo Biyun explained were completely new to Ye Chen. He finally knew why it had been so difficult to encounter other Immortals for some time. He was also fortunate that he did not accept Wei Yanlu's offer to interfere in the affairs of the mortal world, otherwise, it might have become a serious problem.
"If that's the case, shouldn't these loose cultivators gather somewhere so as not to interfere with worldly affairs?" Ye Chen suddenly thought of something and asked.
Guo Biyun nodded with a smile, and was not stingy in explaining, "That's why Brother Chen arrived at the right place. Because apart from Brother Chen, there were already several people who went to the place where the immortal cultivators gathered."
"There are few people, and there is such a place?" Ye Chen was surprised and immediately asked.
"Indeed there is, the name of that cultivation city is Blue Moon. And everyone who has come here to ask questions over the past twenty years is estimated to have already been there."
"Is it true?" Ye Chen couldn't restrain his excitement, and after seeing Guo Biyun's nod, he asked again, "Does that mean Brother Guo Biyun has a map of the immortal world?"
"Take a guess?" Guo Biyun answered with a mysterious smile and the answer was certain.
With that certainty, Ye Chen almost wanted to jump and hug the smiling and kind old monk in front of him.
Finally, after nearly two years of foolishly searching and committing to immortality, he had a sure path.
