Julian’s Pov:

I just left Aria to meet Leo and Caden. I haven't seen them in Four years. In our Pack, you go through extensive training uninterrupted except for the death of a family member. I finished my training early I think it had something to do with wanting to get back to Aria. I am so excited to see my boys. We have been friends since we were pups. I finally get to Alpha Preston’s family home. Each family gets a home on the pack land. When someone turns 18 and would like to move into the pack house they are allowed to. The pack house is made up of mostly unmated adults. However, high-ranking officials in our pack also get the option to live at the pack house. Most of them do if they are unmated or until they get married. Alpha Preston Is still staying at the pack house, His wife our luna Penelope passed away in a rogue attack, and ever since Caden and Mitchell went off to training Preston had moved back into the pack house.

Since Alpha Preston is residing in the pack house Leo and Caden have decided to stay in Leo’s old family home for the remainder of their trip. As I walk up to the house my wolf Jordan Senses a lot of alpha power. Alpha Preston must be here. But with both Alphas in the house, the power radiating from it is overwhelming. If my wolf was not so comfortable with the both of them we wouldn't dare to step foot in the house.

I walk up to the door and knock as soon as it opens. Alpha Preston is at the door. I bow in respect

“Alpha how are you tonight” I ask

“I am well Julian getting ready to retire to bed for the evening. Won't you come in?” he says moving allowing me through the door.

“Thank you alpha,” I respond. I walk in the door and immediately get ambushed into a hug. “Leo!! Caden!! How have you guys been? Can I get some air ?” I ask. They both laugh and release me from the hug, I look at the both of them “Wow training has bulked you both up.”

“I thought I smelt a sent earlier but it went by too fast,” Leo says.

We then sit, eat pizza, and games. It is so nice to catch up. “My father told me when I come home he is stepping down as alpha” Leo informs us. This thought is intense for all of us. We have been raised our whole lives to know one day the three of us would be running the pack which is a lot of responsibility. Alpha Preston being the first one to step down means that our fathers won't be far behind them.

“How do you feel about that?” I ask leo

He looks at me and says “I am ready it is what I have been training for the past four years for. But I know I won't have my full strength until I find and mate my Luna. I just thought I had more time.” this is something both Caden and I understand.

We walk through the forest until we get to her favorite spot the one she was sketching. It is beautiful no matter what time of day you come here. We get to the landing of the lake where I have laid out a blanket with some snacks. We both lay down leaning on our elbows on the blanket.

“Are you all ready for the ball?” I ask her

She shrugs which I know means something is up.

I see that she believes me but she is still concerned “The mate bond is supposedly so strong even if you reject them you will feel their pain, and heartache, and you will feel them marked by someone else.” she tells me.

I feel her concern is worried too. “I know my love but we will get through this should we have to,” I tell her.

I sit up and grab the remote by my hip. I look at her and say. “ I have something to show you.” so she sits up happy and says “What is it love?” I press the on button and the lights come on and I hear her gasp. I get on one knee anyone in the nearby area would have thought this was straight out of a movie scene. The twinkling lights and the moon reflecting off the lake with the floating candles in the water. Me on one knee in front of Aria.

I take her hand and look up at her “Aria I know we are not allowed to be married until after the ball but they never said anything about being engaged.
