Author's POV

Ashlesha and Rajeshwari both were arguing about Ayesha as Ayesha had not returned home yet.

"I told you, bride, don't give this girl so much leeway, she will get out of hand, but you didn't listen to me.  " Rajeshwari said while gritting her teeth, while Ashlesha was getting extremely restless.

"Don't worry mom, your darling will come." Akhil, Ashlesha's son taunts her while Rajeshwari dials someone's number on her phone.

Seeing him doing this, Ashlesha's heart began to panic even more when the doorbell rang.

Ashlesha quickly ran towards the door when she found her darling in front of her who was very much drenched by this time due to the sudden rain.

"Ayu child, how long has it taken you to come?" Ashlesha asked looking into Ayesha's eyes.

"Mummy, it was actually my first day in the office, isn't it, so that's why the boss......." Before Ayesha could say anything in her explanation, Rajeshwari jumps in, and this time she Crossed the limit.

"So you were hooking up with your boss, weren't you?" Hearing such a bad thing from Rajeshwari's mouth, Ayesha was unable to understand how her grandmother could say such a thing about her.

" Mummy, what are you saying about my daughter? Are you even in your senses?" Ashlesha asks shouting at her mother-in-law.

What am I saying wrong? Cultured girls never go outside the four walls of the house and get married in time and go to their in-laws' house, but in my house it is the opposite. Here no one listens to the words of the elders, everyone just has to follow his own mind. Saying this, Rajeshwari Devi goes to her room, while Ayesha who was still rooted at her place.

"Come on, Ayesha, go and change, otherwise you will get sick." Ashlesha said in her normal voice and started setting the food on the dining table.

Ayesha's POV

I can't believe that grandma thinks like this about me. Does Dadi find me someone who sells her honor for money? 

Don't know why grandma hates me so much, what have I done that she doesn't even like to see my face. Surely mother must know, I go and ask mother only, what is the problem of grandmother with me.

I came out of my room and went straight to my mother.

Seeing me coming towards her, my mother smiled and asked me, "You have come, see today I have cooked my princess's favorite food, ' Malai kofta and tandoori roti with carrot pudding."

"Mom, I want to ask you something." I came to my mother and told her.

"Yes speak child, what to say." Mummy told me in a very normal way.

"Mummy, what is Dadi's problem with me? Why does she hate me so much? Today she has crossed all limits by pointing fingers at my character. Do I look like such a girl to you?" I was continuously questioning her but mummy was listening to me very calmly.

First she smiled and then keeping my cheeks between her palms said, "It's nothing my doll, who told you that Dadi hates you? Dadi loves you too."

After saying this, the mother stopped in the middle and then went on to say, "Ayesha Dadi was just a little worried and nothing else, it is okay. She loves you as much as she loves Akhil." Mummy tried to explain to me that only then once again Lady Hitler enters the dining hall.

"Bride, come and put the food quickly, I am very hungry." On hearing grandmother's order, mother started serving food in her plate that once again Lady Hitler's taunting session started.

"Oh wow, today you have prepared your princess's favorite food. Has your daughter come back after winning the Kargil war, which you have prepared her favorite food today?" 

"Mom it's nothing like that, yesterday I cooked Akhil's favorite food so I thought today I ...." Before mother could finish her words, grandmother started showering.

"Well, you thought that you should cook the food of your darling's choice today, didn't you?"

" Mom!!!!" Mother shouted at grandmother that grandmother fell cold at her place.

"I don't understand one thing why you are after Ayesha, whenever you see her you keep taunting her, cursing her, what is your problem with this girl?" As soon as the mother said this, the grandmother once again spoke in the middle, " child!!! Do you still see her as a child? Look bride, this girl is not a child anymore, she is of marriageable age now." , Now it is her age to have children, understood, so I have fixed her relationship. Tomorrow the boy's family are coming to meet him, so keep her ready."

Grandma said everything in such a hurry that mummy didn't even get a chance to react.

"Mummy, you heard what grandmother said, she decided to get me married and that too without telling me. Don't I have the right to choose my life partner?"  I asked mommy in my hoarse voice and ran to my room

Ashlesha's POV

"I thought that everything will be fine slowly, but look Rajbir, Mom is after our Ayesha only, I will not see all this now. I feel like going now and telling Ayesha all the secrets related to her birth that why mom hates her so much but what to do, I don't want any bad effect on Ayesha after knowing the truth. "

Today I am missing my husband a lot, I wish he was with me today.

I still remember that night when Rajbir hid me, mom and the kids in the basement. How those people dragged Rajbir out of the house. After those people, all I remember is the sound of gunfire.

I wish a miracle had happened that night, Rajbir would have been alive today and Ayesha would not have had to deal with her grandmother's hatred so much.

But maybe God has something else in mind, maybe he has written a very good partner for my Ayesha who will make her a queen.

"I have faith in God and his game, isn't it Rajbir?" I asked Rajbir looking at the picture and kissed on it and put it back on the side table.
