Lusia
Freedom. Or a chance of redemption. I was stuck. I couldn't tell which one was best for me. Fleeing the pack would make it look like everything that my brother, Finn accused me of, was true. It would mean that I was running away from the responsibility I had which was to prove everybody wrong about me. But I didn’t have a choice.
Finn saw me as nothing but a slave. It was the same thing King Dane was offering but I meant something to him, not just an ordinary slave. I was something more to him. An item that he would cherish.
The choice was supposed to be easy. I would leave the pack and everything behind me to be with a man who knew how to quench my lust. I could barely feel any hint of heat left in me. He had completely fucked the shit out of me which left me perplexed. How had he been able to do that? Not even Keon had ever fucked me like that.
But going with him would mean that I was heading to a place I didn’t know of. Worst of all, I was stepping into enemy territory. I was going to be seen as a weakling. I wasn’t a Lycan. I was simply a werewolf princess who had been totally forgotten by my pack because of the selfish and narcissistic decision my brother had made which ruined my life.
“This isn’t supposed to be a hard choice,” the Lycan king’s voice came again, jolting me back to reality.
I was in a dilemma and it would be hard for me to see myself getting out of this one. I was stuck with nothing left to do. Who would have known that I would have to make such a life-changing decision tonight?
The sounds of the crickets made me realize that it was getting late. Alpha Finn would soon be looking for me. And I doubted that he was going to let me go after what I did tonight. I was supposed to be ashamed of everything, but here I was still thinking of how exciting it was that it had drawn the Lycan king to me. I knew he had been hardly able to resist me which had prompted him to fuck me like the beast he was.
I could hear footsteps approaching, and the sound of dry leaves being crushed by boots. It had to be the men that had come with King Dane. They were here which meant that the ball was over. I had to make a decision now. My heart was thumping hard against my chest.
“Time’s up,” King Dane said, turning to me now.
I didn’t realize that the backdoor was open and he was facing me. It made me look into his cold blue eyes which made my heart squeeze in my chest in fright.
“So what’s it going to be, woman?” He demanded, his voice stony and cold unlike when he had fucked me.
My mind was racing. Freedom or redemption? It would be hard to redeem myself here because nobody paid attention to me here. There wasn’t a chance of redeeming myself here. But if I could go with the Lycans I would be free and also still have a chance of redemption shortly. Or was I wrong?
“I’ll go with you,” I blurted out.
King Dane, who seemed to be clenching his jaws, nodded with his thin lips pressed together. He walked away a few moments later to meet up with one of the men who had returned to the car.
“There’s someone inside there,” I could hear him say from a distance. “Give her a coat to cover herself. It’s going to get cold.”
A few minutes later, a man with short sandy brown hair walked up to me as I lay in the backseat too weak to move. He took off his black overcoat, his face filled with disgust as he looked at me before dumping the coat on me. He walked away, and I guessed he was heading to meet King Dane who was out of my view.
“All done,” he said.
There was silence for a few moments.
“Where are the rest of the men?” He asked.
“They are finishing the mission. They will be with us shortly.”
A few minutes later, more footsteps were coming our way. They were all here. I could barely see any of them, but the ones that were in my view were staring at me both in disgust and lust. The coat I was given barely covered me which gave the men a chance to gaze at me with erotic thoughts in their minds.
Before I could tell what was going on, the car’s engine ignited and King Dane got into the passenger’s seat. We were leaving. I managed to lean off the leather seat and lean my head against the window.
As we drove away, I could smell the irritating smell of smoke in there. I tried to pitch where the smoke was coming from but was lost.
The only thing I could do was look at the pack one more time as we drove out. This was my goodbye to them. For everything they had done to me. They had ruined me ever since that tragic night, and hence, I wouldn’t miss them much. Leaving them was like a breath of fresh air, and I was going to savor it.
The drive to the Lycan Kingdom was silent. I couldn't bring myself to speak up but I could feel the Lycan king glancing at me at intervals through the rearview mirror.
It was a long drive back to the Lycan Kingdom which took almost three hours and a half. I heaved a sigh of relief as we stopped at a large castle.
The silhouette of the castle was intimidating and the castle itself looked so large. I had never seen something glorious yet this brooding before.
King Dane stepped out of the car and opened the backdoor for me. That was my signal to step out. I held onto the coat which barely covered me and stepped out of the car.
The night’s air was cold and the sky had a violet hue which meant that twilight was just around the corner. I was exhausted and needed some rest.
I stood like a statue confused as I watched King Dane move towards the gate of the castle which was heavily guarded. Then, he suddenly paused and turned to me. His icy blue eyes filled with confusion and irritation. He walked up to me and grabbed me by the arm, dragging me towards the gate.
My breasts leaped out of the coat as we walked towards the gate. The guards that stood there were baffled by this as they saw the state I was in.
“Welcome your majesty,” the guards greeted with a bow.
King Dane gave them a little nod before they opened the gate for him. The castle was even bigger when we got inside. It was hard to describe it because of how concealed it was by the darkness.
When we arrived at the door of the main castle, the guard there swung it open revealing a line of maids who were waiting for him.
They all greeted him with a bow and a smile but when their eyes fell on me, their expression dropped. They all looked at me completely flabbergasted. I felt my cheeks heat up in embarrassment and I tried to cover myself with the coat but it was of no use.
King Dane pushed me towards them roughly and I almost stumbled across the tile.
“Get her a room and have her cleaned up,” he ordered.
“She's a werewolf from the Silvermoon pack and is here for rehabilitation.”
The maids nodded without a word and led me through the hallway.
