Chapter One
"Get your skinny booty moving!! Be thankful that I only take night classes while you take day ones." My best friend Mai yells at me.
I instantly sat up and glare at her. She just ruined my dream with the one and only Christian Grey.
"You better be thankful that I love you and can't survive without you." I muttered getting out of bed.
"Of course you wouldn't. My aunt gave me this bakery to run while she's running three other ones in America somewhere." She sighed.
Mai's aunt, Beatrice. Owns four bakeries across the U.S. One here in Texas.
The other in Seattle. And another one in Georgia. So she made Mai run this bakery because the school she goes to is twenty minutes away.
Since I'm a year younger than Mai, she offered me a place to stay while I'm going to the same college as her. But I have to work at the bakery in the evening and night. While she works in the daytime.
After she walked out of my bedroom, I put on light denim shorts, with a drawing looking design of white flowers on the bottom of it. And a white flowy tank top.
Then I put on white Jack Rogers and wore my hair like usual, in a ponytail. I've only wore it down three times last school year. I'm currently starting my sophomore year here at this college.
I grabbed my backpack and then my rose gold iPhone 6s. Then walk out of my bedroom.
I spot Mai sitting on the comfy chair in the living room.
"Would you like me to make you anything?" Mai asks while sipping on her coffee and reading a book.
"No I'm good, I think I'll grab something from the bakery downstairs." I say.
When I gripped on the doorknob, I looked at her and sighed.
"And please take your medication. I don't want to have a meltdown in class because I'll be too busy worrying about my childhood best friend." I explain.
She gives me a small smile.
"I will now go." She tells me.
I chuckle and get out the apartment and then walk down the stairs and walk towards the door that leads into the bakery shop.
Then I walk behind the counter of the bakery and grab a chocolate muffin and then go into the kitchen and turn on the light.
While I start to make my detox water and pour it in a water bottle container thing.
The digital clock shows 8:20. Damn. I have to go soon. My class starts at 9:15 and I have to walk.
My car is currently in the shop. And I don't want to ask Mai if I can use hers because that's rude.
Once I made my water, I walk out of the kitchen and turned off the light and I see a box of macaroons next to the cash register.
I then grabbed it and saw a note on it. It was from him.
Andrea,
I'm sorry. I know you love these so I got a box of twelve of them. Please think about me.
xoxo, C.A.
I scoffed and threw away the note but put the box of heaven in my backpack then walked out of the bakery, I made sure it was locked and then started to walk to school.
It's a nice day in Texas. So might as well use that as an advantage for a walk.

Twenty minutes later, I'm across the street from the college.
Then a black Audi stops right in front of me on the crosswalk. Is that even legal?
"Sorry.." The handsome driver says with a smirk.
Causing the blonde whore in the passenger's seat to giggle. Making me roll my eyes.
"It's whatever." I say annoyed.
He looks shocked at me then he drives away. Then I started to walk.
I knew who that guy is.
His name is Peter Greene and I have him in three classes.
I doubt that he knows who I am. Or even knows of my very existence. Even though I sit next to him in one of the classes.
"Andrea, let's get going." Millie, a girl from my first class tells me.
I nod and follow her to the building where we have accounting.
I'm majoring in business and I had always dreamed of starting one. But I'm not sure what of.
So I walked in and sat down next to Millie who was talking to some girl that was seated behind us.
I took out my phone and saw that Peter sent me a follow request on Twitter.
My Twitter is on private because I don't want him to follow me.
So I accept Peter's friend request. Then stalk his Twitter.
"Okay guys let's begin." My professor says.

I walked in the bakery after my last class of the day.
It was pretty busy. Then I made my way behind the counter and saw Mai putting something in the oven.
"Hey it's a pretty good crowd out there." I say.
This made Mai look up at me and smile then she took off her lavender apron with our bakery logo on it then she hanged it up and grabbed her backpack for school.
"Yeah, I should be back at five tonight, have fun." Mai chirps then pats my back.
I laugh and then put my hair up in a braided bun then put on my long light pink apron that goes down to my knees.
Then I tied it in a knot and then looked at my list that Mai wrote me.
After our shifts, we write down what there's left that needs to be done. And the next person has to do those then make their own list for the other person.
That they see what needs to be done while on their shift.
I then heard a squeaky fake laugh. And I sighed. It's some slut. I presume with the annoying laugh. So I took the cookies out of the oven and then placed them on the giant grey metal table and began shaping the cookies with the star shaped cookie cutter.
"Hello? This must be a shitty place if there's no employee here." A high pitched voice said.
I sighed then walked out of the back and towards the counter to see the girl from earlier with two barbies.
"What can I get you?" I ask exasperated.
She smirks at me.
"Just three chocolate cupcakes. With the light pink frosting." She says with a smirk.
I then typed it on the register computer thing and then recognized her as the girl in Peter's car this morning.
"That'll be $6.25." I say bored.
Honestly I just want to get back to shaping cookies and not deal with whores.
She handed me a $10 bill.
"Keep the change, because you need it you little freak." She laughs.
I then give her a small smile and put the money in the register and then handed them their cupcakes.
After they left and sat down near the window, I walked back in the kitchen and got back to work.

Later on that day, at around 3:15, I was cleaning the place up then I bumped into a wall.
But I looked up to see it was Peter.
He then dropped his binder on the floor and I picked it up for him. Then handed it back to him.
Looking in those brown eyes.
I would be lying if I said that I don't have a slight crush on him. I mean, all the girls at my college do. But the chances of him liking me are 3%.
"Thank you so much, what's your name?" The handsome dark brown haired guy who finally notices me asks.
"I'm just the girl at the bakery." I smiled kindly at him and then left to go back to work.
He doesn't have to know my name.
It's not like he'll remember it. Because I'm completely invisible and too ugly for him to remember me.
I turned around and started to walk back to the register.
He then followed me and stopped in front of the register while I was behind it. And I gave him a confused look.
"Do you want something?" I ask him awkwardly.
He then shakes his head like I just caught him thinking about something. He then smiled at me.
"Just a red velvet brownie." He says taking out his wallet.
Once he paid for it, he at it then wrote something on a paper and handed to me then walked out.
I walked into the kitchen and read the note.
You were never invisible to me,
-Peter Greene
I then smiled to myself and started to work again.
