Chapter 5
Call him. This is the first time that I request this. Since when I got here, I never went to Park. Call my dad and request his permission to accompany me outside. That's easy, ugly Graycie." He answered and crossed his arms.
What's easy? I'm avoiding your father! It's really good! That kid is going to attack so much! I have Sir Zach's number. So that I can report everything that Zamiel does. Really unlucky! I dialed Sir's number, he answered after a few rings.
"Yes, Graycie? Why are you calling me this time? Is there any problem?"
"No sir, I just want to request your permission to accompany your son outside. He wants to go to the Park because."
"Really? Okay, I will allow you. Bring Mang Bert to you. Be careful on your way. I need to hang up, I have my meeting now."
Okay, Sir. I'm sorry for disturbing you."
It's okay. Take care of my son, Ms. Graycie."
"Yes, sir."
I breathed a few times. I felt very nervous. I know all I feel is admiration but why is this? It's hard to calm the heart. It's been a month since I've been sick! I can't like someone else right away, right? This is not right!
Are you done daydreaming of my dad, ugly Graycie? What did he say? Does he agree?" I heard Zamiel say.
Yeah! she agreed, that I'll take you to the Park. I'm not daydreaming, change your close first before we go." I went upstairs first.
I waited for him to get dressed. I also put on some clothes because I was sweating earlier. When Zamiel came out, I rushed down to him. Mang Bert is waiting for us outside. He opened the car door for us.
"Where is the Park you want to go to, young master?" I will ask.
"I'll show the way. Shut up, ugly Graycie." I'm secretly tired. He will go on a bad trip early in the morning. He's only 6 years old but his tongue has a different shape.
I just kept quiet the whole flight. It's okay, it's a bit boring inside the mansion. I'm sure Chelsea will just tease me with sir Zach. I'm still confused about my feelings. It's just admiration. That's what I believe in myself Here we go." Mang Bert's announcement.
I went down and Mang Bert opened Zamiel. The way he explores his eyes on the Park is shocking for me. It's like he wants to cry or something.
"Pick us later. You can leave." I told Mang Bert. He nodded and left. Zamiel wants to be alone with me. I don't know why. He's just like that every time.
"You want to sit on the bench over there?" I ask him when Mang Bert leaves.
"Yeah." He answered briefly.
This Park is beautiful. This is my first time here. All my life I never been in Park or anywhere. My parents are busy at work. I was busy studying then. We don't have time with each other. When my siblings were born. I'm the one who is always busy with my academics and works. I don't want to disappoint my parents because they have a high expectation from me. Especially, my mother.
"It's been a year since the last time I was here." I turned to Zamiel.
"You been here with who?" I ask. I hope he will answer me.
"With my mom. This place is her favorite spot. We have always been here, have bonding with each other. I'm happy with her because she loves so much." Every time he utters words, there are sorrows.
"Can I ask, what happened to your mother?" Did I ask to much? I'm just curious because I don't know the real reason why this kid is so rude to everyone.
"She died of ovarian cancer. That's why I ended up here with my dad. Honestly, I hate dad. He's the one who blames because he never supports us. I hate him so much." He started to cry. "Today is my mom's death anniversary. I missed her so much." He added.
He's so heartbroken. So, this is the reason why he's acting like that. Being tough is the hardest part. I tapped his shoulder to calm him down. I think he was so depressed when his mother died. And no one understands him. He is a child after all.
"Everything is going to be fine, young master." I said while tapping his shoulder.
Graycie's POV
It's been 3 days since the Park scene. Sir Zach is here again and I'm so uncomfortable. What is happening to me?!
"Hey! Float again! That's salt!" Chelsea stopped me. I almost put the salt in the coffee. Shit!
"Sorry. I didn't notice." I quickly returned the salt to the container.
"You've been out of focus for three days. What's going on with you, Graycie?" he asked.
"I must be stressed." I don't want to say because of sir Zach. I'm Chelsea's issue again for sure.
"Can you come home to yours during the week. You've been here for over a month and then you didn't come home to yours when you had a day off." I shook my head.
"I don't want to. I'm not ready to face them there." I continued making coffee.
"Don't be bitter! Also, isn't it Sir Zach that you want?" I widened my eyes at him.
"What are you talking about?! Be quiet so we can be heard here!" I disobeyed Chelsea.
"What is it? Are you talking about me?" Chelsea and I were both wide-eyed when Sir Zach appeared. He has an Ipad and a laptop. Wrong timing! Did he hear that? Thank you!
S-Sir! There you are! O--" I covered Chelsea's mouth. Really contempt.
"No sir. We're talking about our family. H-Here's your coffee, enjoy." I pulled Chelsea out of the kitchen. It's really embarrassing.
"Let me go. We're far from the kitchen. You're more obvious in your actions, Graycie." He grinned at me. My face is getting hot. My heart beats fast. It's like racing inside.
"Your about to said it in front of him! Chelsea, I said it's nothing. I'm not into him, stop teasing me. I might even lose my job." I said annoyed.
"I'm sorry. I can't help it. I really want you two for each other." He shook his head and answered.
"Well, we're different. I'm here to work. He's our boss. Stop your fantasy. We're in the real world. Stop teasing me. Let's get back to work." I didn't wait for him to answer and immediately left. I'm really bored.
I came here for work, so it should only be work. I was about to go to the second floor to take a look at Zamiel. Unfortunately, I still met Sir Zach.
"Ms. Graycie. I need you to report to my office tomorrow." He said openly.
"Why sir?" I will ask.
"It's in the contract. Every month, you will report to me. Ah, you never read the contract, right? I just remind you. Go back to work." He smiled before leaving. Calm down, Graycie. That's just a smile! It's just a simple smile! Thank you!
You look stupid, ugly Graycie." I was shocked when someone spoke next to me. Zamiel was there.
Young master! What do you want?! You hungry?" He just looked at me. Is this a problem?
"You like my dad, do you?" I immediately shook my head. He asked that twice. "Tch! Liar. I want food." He turned me away.
I followed him to the kitchen. I took ingredients from the fridge to prepare breakfast for him. Zamiel wants heavy breakfast these past few days.
"I want to eat the green vegetable you ate." she said Ampalaya? You sure? That's bitter." I said.
"It's okay. Just cook it." I just cooked his request. The fried ampalaya is also my specialty.
After it was cooked, I prepared it on a plate. I also got fresh milk from the fridge. The boy is also surprising. I mean, he's rude every time. But he is not picky about food. My younger brother is a picky one. He never ate vegetables. That girl is even more artistic.
Is it good?" I will ask.
Yeah." He answered and took another bite I just waited for him after eating and I washed what he ate. His class is over now.
"Where's my grandson! I'm going to get him!" I was surprised because someone was shouting in the living room. Is there a visitor? Zamiel also turned around and immediately went to the living room. I followed.
Grandma?" Zamiel called an old man in his 50s.! Come with me. We're going home." The old man immediately approached Zamiel and hugged him.
Ma'am, you need to leave!" Said the guard on the side.
I'm not leaving until I'm with my grandson!" The old man shouted.
What the meaning of this?!" I looked at the behavior of Sir Zach who had just arrived. It was obvious from the expression on his face that he was angry.
"I'm going to get my grandson! That was Eloisa's last will to me!" Sir Zach grinned.
"I'm not going to agree with that. He's my son. As I said, I'll take care of him. We have an agreement with that. Do you forget that?" The old man glared at him.
"As long as I get him!" When it insists.
"And then what? You will use him to gather all the money of your daughter? Because she named it after her son. Am I right?" Sir Zach asked challengingly.
"Grandma, is it true?" I heard Zamiel ask.
"No! Are you going to believe your useless father? Don't you remember that he didn't support you? He abandoned you and your mommy." The old man said.
"Don't turn it back on my son! I have all the evidence that every month, I'll send the money to you, ma'am. Apart from that for my son and Eloisa's treatment. I'm not useless , you are!" Sir Zach shouted.
"What? Are you accusing me of using your money? I'm not getting anything! Ni-piso no one is coming to me!" He shouted at Sir Zach.
"Really? So, it's the bank that's lying? Every month, the bank texted me that you claim the money! The bank is the one who lying with us?! Don't fool my child! If you want money, don't use it my child anymore. Drag her outside!" He looked at my behavior and signaled me to take Zamiel.
"Young master, let's go." I whispered to him.
"Let me go! You're shameless, Del Fuerto! You have a day too!" I heard the cry of the old woman.
What a scene?! Does that mean Zamiel's grandmother does not give them their money? Sir Zach should not be the one to blame if not Zamiel's grandmother? omg gosh! That's a great revelation! The intense!
"Leave me alone." He closed the door on me. I will give him a time to think. As a child, what he heard earlier hurt. It's terrible.
Is he inside?" Sir Zach asked openly.
Yeah. I think you should talk to him later, sir. He needs a time to think. Well, excuse me." I said politely before leaving.
Zachary's POV
I decided to knock on the door of my son's room. I know that he blames me that all bad happened to him. I didn't hear him answer so I opened the door. I saw him in his bed.
Son? Can we talk?" He moved a bit.
For what? I'm not in the mood to talk right now. Leave me alone." she answered me angrily.
You hear it all. I want you to open your eyes for now. Your grandma is not a good person to you. And I'm not abandoning you. Your mother is refusing to live with me because she's not into me. I suggest that I will support her because your my child. She's agreed." I paused then he faced me.
"My mom not into you? But am I really your daughter dad?!" I nodded.
"Yes. I accidentally get her pregnant. She has a boyfriend back then. We discussed that I will support you. You are my son, Zamiel." I answered.
Is it true that grandma will claim all the money that my mom's left to me? That cruel!" I saw his hand crumble.
Yeah, don't worry I will protect your mother's bank account. Your grandmother won't touch that. From now on, don't trust her. I'm sorry because I told you later. Get a rest. Call Graycie if you need anything or call me." I stand up to his bed. When I reached the door, I heard him say something.
"I'm sorry, dad. I know that I blame you for all of this. I'm sorry. One thing, that babysitter you hired is good to me. I think she likes you." I chuckled.
"You're forgiven. I'm glad that you like her. Get a rest, son." I smiled at him before I closed the door.
"Sir, are you still here?" Speaking of, she appeared in front of me.
"Yeah, I take to him. We're settling that misunderstanding between us." She smiled. So pretty.
"Really? That's good. I don't think I need your son right now, sir. I'm going back to the kitchen, excuse me." She said.
One more thing, he said about you." She faces me with a smile on her lips.
"Excuse me?" I smile at her.
Do you like me, Ms. Graycie?" Her eyes widen and she's blushing.
No sir! I think he misunderstood that! I-I'm not like you, sir. Ekis ganon!" I just laugh.
"Really? It's okay to like me, Ms. Graycie. You're my type though. Go back to work." I tapped her shoulder and left. I'm not kidding. She is my type.
When I first saw her in my company. She's turning me on. Her looks and personality are my type. Simple but fighting. I'm sure happy if she likes me. Why not! I don't want to force him. My son likes her. I just don't want to be uncomfortable with him if I show a motive. I'm aware that these days she feels uncomfortable whether I'm around. If she has feelings for me, that's fine. I will not pressure him to confess or something. It goes naturally.
