for my mom's death, okay? And you must suffer for it. He said as he turned to face Anna.

“What? That was the only word that could come out of her mouth at that moment.

“Take her to her room,” he said as he walked away leaving her in shock and confusion.

She could not move her legs; it was as if both legs were glued to the ground as she stood there and watched him leave. Without saying a word.

After a few seconds, she walked slowly as one of the guards escorted her back to her room. and she sat helplessly on the floor.

“My mum is the reason for his mum's death?”

“How? When? That was the question going through her mind that she needed answers to.

“I need to call Nova”! She murmured as she stood up to grab her phone from the bed

“Why is she not picking up my calls”? Finally!

Anna: “Why were you not picking up your calls?

Nova: “I’m sorry I was having my bath. What's wrong? You don’t sound so good? Are you alright?

Anna: “You know you are my best friend and I don’t hide anything from you right?

Nova: “Yes! Is anything the matter?

Anna: “Am having a very big issue with my husband.

Nova: “What happened?

Anna: “He got mad at me because I left the house without telling him. Can you imagine he locked me in my room without food or water?

Nova: “What!

Anna: “ And right now one of his guards is outside my room. I can't even go out, as if I am a prisoner.

Nova: “I knew from the start that Derrick is not the right one for you. But I did not know how to tell you, because I didn’t want you to see me as a bad friend you see my instinct was right. You need to divorce him. Straight up before he kills you”

Anna: “I can’t! My Mum is still under his care. He's the one that paid for my mum's hospital bills.

Noval: “Okay. do whatever you want, then!

“Why did she hang up the call”? She said in a low and cold tone. At that moment she felt stressed, with different thoughts in her mind and different questions she wanted to ask. But she’s all alone.

It was dinner time. Jackson walked to the dining table to eat his dinner. he snapped his fingers as he remembered about Anna so he called one of his chefs and asked her To go give Anna her food in her room.

“Okay sir”

Anna kept panicking and wandering around her room. Her expression, her pain, and her feelings were something she couldn’t even describe. She was so frustrated and piss-off.

“Ma’am your food is ready! One of the chefs called her from outside her room.

“I'm not hungry,” she said. Her voice was barely above a whisper.

The chef returned to the dining table. “Sir she said she is not hungry”

“Go back and give her the food! He shouted.

“Okay, sir.

“It wasn’t up to 20 seconds when she heard a soft knock on her door again.

“Ma, your food is ready”

“I said I am not hungry and I didn’t ask you to come in!

“I know you won’t allow me in”

“Then what do you want?

“Mr Jaskson told me to bring your dinner ” the chef dropped Anna’s food on the table.

Ma, Mr. Jackson, your husband is a good man. You just need some time to get to know him better.

“Really? For how long have you been working with him?

“My husband and I have been working for him for a long time now. Even before he lost his parents”

“Before he lost his parents? She asked with a weird look on her face.

“Yes, ma!

“Hmm….Do you know anything about his parent's death? Like what happened to them? Anna asked while walking close to her.

“Well! I don’t know anything about his father’s death but after a few days, he passed away.

“There was one reporter that announced to the public that Jackson's mother was the reason for her husband’s death She couldn’t bear the allegations then she committed suicide”

“What? Sucide?

“Yes, ma! Am telling you that day was the worst day of Mr Jackson's life. From that moment he forgot how to smile and he stopped socializing with her friends.

“It must have been a hard time for him during that period, I feel sorry for him. Now I know why he's acting weird.

“You need time to know him better, he's a good man actually. Said the chef

“Do you know the reporter’s name? Anna asked.

“Hmm. I can’t remember her name but I will ask my husband if he can recall the reporter’s name.

“Okay! Thanks for your time.

“Alright, I will leave you to enjoy your meal”

“Okay. What is your name? Anna Asked at the same time while eating her meal.

“Grace. She answered and started walking out of her room leaving Anna to enjoy her meal.

Nova sat in a coffee shop close to Harry's house she want to talk to Harry about her plan. She pulls out her phone from her handbag to call him.

“Hello. Harry. Long time no see. She said with a fake smile on her face

“Who am I speaking with? He asked and he was trying to remember the voice as it was familiar.

“It's Nova your girlfriend's best friend, hmm sorry, I mean your ex-girlfriend.

“Ohh I see, so what do you want? and why did you call me?

“Meet me at the cafe shop close to your house,” Nova said as she sip her cafe.

“Why?. If I may ask”

“I have something special to discuss with you.

“Am not interested. Said Harry.

“Are you sure? Hmm, trust me things are something you don’t want to miss. It going to benefit both of us and it is what you have been craving for.

“Okay fine, I will be right there just give me 20 minutes.
