Scared and Efficient Assistant

You can not blame Jason for his reaction because everyone of his friends would have the same reaction. This is the first time he makes a decision on marriage in his nearly 30 years on earth.

He felt that this news definitely calls for celebration. He was also happy as he is the first out of the friends to hear about this incredible news.

"Do you really want to get married to her?" Jason asked to be sure he heard correctly. He only needed confirmation from his cold friend..

"Yes, I'm perfectly sure. She only needs to regain consciousness so I can ask her." Sanders answered.

"Do you think she will accept your proposal?" Jason asked while staring at him skeptically.

"She will accept the proposal." Sanders said confidently.

"Why are you so confident that she will accept it? Are you going to force her into getting married to you?" Jason asked with an incredulous expression like he just discovered something new.

Sanders gave him a look which implied, "are you kidding me?"

"Sorry." Jason apologized immediately he saw the look. He was really frightened by the look.

"She will! Even if it takes long, she's going to accept it because she doesn't want to be ostracized. And besides,she would want revenge on those who schemed against her." Sanders said without removing his gaze from the unconscious girl.

"Kira." He muttered her name slowly. He felt that her name was just as pretty as she was. Even her frailty doesn't diminish her beauty. She looked so out of this world. She looked so peaceful as she laid there unconscious.

A few minutes passed before Jason spoke up again.

"Are you not going to the office?" Jason asked.

"Haven't I responded to that question of yours?" Sanders responded with a question.

Jason scratched his head with a playful expression in his face.

"I guess I forgot. So you will be waiting for her to regain her consciousness, right?" Jason asked while folding his arms.

"Yes." He replied simply.

He stood up from the bedside stool before walking towards the window. He looked down the building from the window as he got lost in his thoughts.

Jason smirked as he saw him lost in thoughts. He began responding to emails and messages which needed his attention.

Teddy came in with a packed food.

"Boss,I figured out that you haven't had breakfast, so I brought breakfast for you." Teddy said immediately he got into the room.

His voice jolted Sanders out of his thoughts as he turned back to stare at him.

"You didn't get me any food. Aren't I also your boss. Even if I'm not your boss, I'm your boss' friend." Jason said with a whiny tone.

Teddy looked at Jason helplessly as he felt dumbstruck. He didn't know why, but he felt Jason's voice sounded so cringey to his hearing. Nevertheless,he put on a calm expression saying in a low voice,

"I'm sorry, Dr. Jason. I never knew that you were also hungry. How about this,why I don't I go out to get you your own set of meal?"

Jason chuckled simply before waving him off.

"I was only joking. You look so petrified. Gosh Sanders,your assistant is such a scaredy cat. Where did you get him from?" Jason asked whilst chuckling.

The whole scenario looked so funny to him. He is definitely having a good time now.

Sanders smirked simply as he stared at his secretary.

"He is efficient in his duties but he just get scared easily. He only needs to work on his confidence." Sanders said.

Teddy stared at his boss with his mouth wide open. He couldn't believe that his boss just complimented him right now. He felt so ecstatic.

"I will get your meal now, Dr. Jason" Teddy said as he exited the room quickly.

Jason snorted loudly on seeing the way Teddy left the room.

"Your assistant is quite cute for a guy." Jason said while staring at Sanders who had already made his way towards the sofa.

Sanders gave him quite the look on hearing his statement. Jason kept quiet immediately on seeing the look but he was laughing in his mind.

Sanders sat down on the sofa immediately as he arranged the meal. It was a simple meal consisting of bacon,eggs,bread and cold orange juice. It was a simple but appetizing meal befitting the status of the CEO.

"Your assistant knows your taste." Jason said simply.

"He has been by my side for the past two years so it is normal for him to know what I like and what I don't. It's imperative." Sanders responded to him with those overbearing words.

Jason raised an eyebrow to those words.

"Your assistant is efficient,no doubt." Jason said to him soothingly.

Sanders ignored him as he began eating. He still retained his nobility even as he is eating. He looked so elegant. He ate bit by bit as he looked so composed and refined doing such a task. He didn't rush his food as he ate little by little.

He treated eating as a delicate task. Jason stared at him as he wondered how he could still look refined and noble while eating?

Seven minutes later, Teddy came back with another set of meal.

"Here you go Dr. Jason." Teddy said as he dropped the meal on another table present on the room. As he was about to set the table, Jason waved him off saying it's not needed.

He nodded as he tactically left the room for the two friends.

Jason began setting the table for himself. Though he is also a young master surrounded by maids, he loves doing things himself. Especially, cooking and setting the table. He doesn't depend on anyone and that is ingrained in him already.

His meal consisted of Mac and Cheese, including a small quantity of pasta and mango juice. It was a really scrumptious breakfast.
