Chapter 3

      I blinked rapidly, regaining myself. I placed my hand on his shoulder to push him off but he broke the kiss before I could. He still didn't let me go, his hand was on my waist. My heart rose and fell heavily as I tried to control my breathing. My head was filled with thoughts. Why is he here? What is he doing here? Has he been looking for me? My eyes were focused on his chest, I couldn't look at his face.

       Could this really be him? Is this a dream!

      "Are you okay?" He asks in the same cold husky voice from that night.

     Just like that night, I felt the pit of my stomach turn. I opened my mouth but no words were formed. He held my chin and tilted my head up. I stopped breathing for a second.

     His beautiful but empty eyes searched mine like it was looking for something. I was almost lost in them when realization hit me. I was just kissed without consent. I wiggled out of his grip and took a step backward.

     "What the hell do you think you're doing?" I tried to sound tough but my voice betrayed me as it sounded like a teenager intimidated by bullies. Despite this, I still held my ground.

      "What do you mean? You just got kissed by me." He says smugly, arching his brow. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, "what is that supposed to mean?"

      "Well..." He says, taking a step forward and I step backward unconsciously. He stopped a few inches from me and asks, "do you know who I am?"

       Well, you're the man I had a one-night stand with and ended up getting pregnant for. I can't tell him that.

       "Am I supposed to know who you are?" I ask, scoffing. His eyes lit up in amusement but it only lasted for a split second before his eyes went cold again. He dipped his hand in his pocket and brought out a card. He stretched it to me and I collected it hesitantly.

     "President George Fernando. N Constructions & Building." I read out in a low voice. So he's some company's President? I raised my head from the card and asked, "so?"

     He raised his brow, "so?"

     "You're a company's president does that mean you can assault women?" I ask, throwing the card at his chest. He chuckled huskily, shaking his head. My nervousness came back when he closed the gap between us. He leaned in, his nose almost touching mine. I gulped, fisting my hands at my sides. "Y..you're doing it again." I say breathlessly.

     "You're a weird one." He says, his eyes not leaving my lips. My eyes unconsciously went to his lips. Memories of that night reenacted in my head as I stared at his ever-tempting lips.

      "If you want me to kiss you again, just say that, sweetheart." He says, snapping me out of my lustful gaze. I cleared my throat uneasily and pushed him.

    "I'll...I'll let this slide so...I'm going to leave." I picked up my bag and made to leave but he held my arm.

     "Let me go, would you?"

"Have we met somewhere?" He asks and my heart almost dropped. I managed not to react and I looked him in the eyes. "There is no way I would encounter an egoistic assaulter like you and wouldn't remember. So no, we haven't met. And I pray we don't meet ever again." I say before yanking my arm off his grip.

I scurried into the restaurant, praying I don't meet him again. Thanks to him, I was almost thirty minutes late. Thankfully, my boss was not present so I was safe. Though I'm sure someone is going to snitch when she comes back.

I could not focus during work time. My head was filled with that man. So his name is Norman and he owns a company. Did I sleep with a billionaire? Gosh, this isn't real. And has he always been around? He seemed as if he doesn't recognize me.

         But...how is that possible? Even I that blacked out still recognized him so why couldn't he? Did he black out too? No, that's impossible. He changed me into his shirt and saw my face in the morning. Ugh! Why do I even care if he recognizes me or not? It's better he doesn't. Right?
